PNB & HMT join hands for sale of tractors
Punjab National Bank (PNB) and HMT Limited signed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in Delhi on August 3, 2009 to promote financing of HMT Tractors. The MOU was inked by Gobinda Banerjee General Manager PNB and Atol Kumar Srivastava General Marketing Manager, HMT Ltd. in the presence of M.V. Tanksale Executive Director, PNB, Nagesh Pydah Executive Director, PNB and Prakash Sharan Executive Director Tractors, HMT Ltd. Under the tie-up, HMT Dealers will extend discount of Rs. 4,000/- on each HMT Tractor financed by PNB.. In addition to this HMT Ltd. will also provide a cash incentive of Rs. 4,000/-, which will be credited to farmer's loan account. PNB shall be extending finance to eligible farmers on priority basis for purpose of buying HMT tractor. Speaking on the occasion, M.V. Tanksale, Executive Director informed that PNB being number one amongst the nationalized banks has contributed significantly in agricultural lending to the farmers of all
categories. The bank has been consistently above the National Goal of 18% of agriculture credit to the net bank credit. Today's MOU is a step in furtherance to PNB's efforts for benefitting the farmers. It is expected that the association will not only facilitate expansion of tractor advances but the quality of lending will also be maintained. Gobinda Banerjee said that the arrangement shall provide an opportunity to the field functionaries to promote tractor financing as farmers will get twin benefit, a discount of Rs. 4000/- on the tractor financed through bank and Rs. 4000/- as an incentive. He also expressed confidence that HMT Ltd with its ambitious plans to increase its market share in tractor industry will get leverage from the tie-up with a Bank like Punjab National Bank which has a large network of branches across the country. Speaking on the occasion, Prakash Sharan said that HMT manufactures tractors from 25 HP to 75 HP in its plant
at Pinjore in Haryana and the tie-up with PNB would help HMT further reach its customer base across the country, given the wide network of PNB, especially in the rural areas. He said that all HMT Tractors meet the stringent emission norms and are backed by quality after sales service through a wide network of HMT dealers. Sharan informed that HMT is introducing a couple of new models within the next few months. Atol Kumar Srivastava, General Marketing Manager, HMT Ltd. observed that the initial business projection of 2000 tractors under the tie-up arrangement during 2009-10 should help HMT in expanding its base and benefit the Bank also in increasing the agriculture credit portfolio. Both the signatories are optimistic that the arrangement will supplement the efforts of PNB and HMT Limited in serving the farming community in a befitting manner for improving farm operations efficiency and further boosting modernization of Indian agriculture.
LIC's new scheme for direct marketing
Life Insurance Corporation of India of which CMD is T.S.Vijayan has come out with yet another initiative of direct marketing. It has been observed that in the severally under-tapped Indian Insurance Market, competition has done something good i.e. creating awareness about need for taking Life Insurance Policy. Till now the concept was that Life Insurance is only sold and not bought. But changing economic scenario has changed the age old concept too. With the awareness about Life Insurance products having gone up, customers are not only asking for Life Insurance products, they are also clear which category of products they are interested in. In particular, a huge demand is observed in children products, pension products and health products. All these products being available with market linked returns makes them more attractive.Demand for Life Insurance products has further gained momentum due to volatility in the stock market, real estate and even gold.
Customers who are looking for safety of capital, steady growth and long term investment to meet specific financial goals of their life are turning to Life Insurance. In the current scenario, the confidence of customers is further strengthened in Public Sector.Looking to the trends, confidence of the customer in LIC and surge in demand for LIC products, LIC has launched its Direct Marketing Channel.

Aaj Ki Aawaz
This is Mulayam's Samaajwaad!!!
In the garb of Samjwaad Punjiwaad!!!
UP's facing a drought but Mulayam is least bit bothered or is he running scared of Maya?
Or is it possible that Anil's gas woes have brought about in him a feeling of dayaa!!!
The gas post the wellhead is RIL's …Gas Utilization Policy has to be followed!!
But Mulayam alleges to favor RIL a lot of ghoos Deora has swallowed!!!
There are approximately five different rates charged for Gas...... why????
Because post the well head at what price the seller sells the buyer has to buy!!
Commies would love if the Sarkaar takes on gas distribution!!!
Because this would mean India would face from overseas investors 'retribution'!!
India does policy flip flops message will be sent!!
The signal that will go out is India is not stable for investment!!!
And didn't Mulayam favor Anil by giving him the Dadri Power Plant on a platter????
But Mulayam seems to have forgotten this matter!!!
Mulayam should change his Party's name to Punjiwaad Party!!!
Party motto…. stand up for the rich during the day and at night with them we party!!
And seems 'foreign' education has done Junior Mulayam no good!!!!!
Spirit of a Goonda cannot be 'exorcised' by 'foreign education' needs to be understood!!
Maya is the modern day Marie Antoinette … but its not cakes in lieu of bread!!!
When hunger pangs strike she seems to say my statues will ensure that all are fed!!
The only way I think this can happen if the hungry get her bronze statues smelted!!!
Sell the bronze and then maybe they hunger pangs could be 'melted'!!!
Mulayam is too busy with Anil's gas woes to take a note of UP's drought!!!
He seems to be Anil's rep in Parliament out and out!!
Had he been the people's rep he would be worried about drought and inflation!!
But seems for him Anil is the Nation!
Judges assets are not Secrets of the State….. no two Laws is a must!!!
In fact Judges assets not being declared would be unjust!!!
These Holy Cows need to introspect….. and its well known the rot has set in!!!
In fact Judges not being transparent when it comes to themselves is a cardinal sin!!!
Buta Singh should be sacked….. why the delay!!!
As per the allegations he was helping a person jiss ne kiya Dalits ko waylay!!
And he says he's a principled Congressman!!!
On Buta calling himself a Congressman Congress should enforce a ban!!
Though Buta says Sweety is lovely!!!
And says Lovely is sweety…… his other son's name is Lovely!!
Advani's think tank now is selling a new story….. State elections will see Advani's rise!
Whereas his detractors say there is no more place to cut him to size!!
Advani's blog is stuck in time …… what can he say?????
But now he may resume with this State elections hope ki ray!!
Though I feel BJP will not gain in the upcoming State polls!!!!
I do not see any reversal of roles!!!
Why are our cricketers objecting to WADA……WADA is needed????
Because 'no drugs' demand of Sporting Bodies Sportsmen have not heeded!!
Such a law is needed to eradicate drugs from sports!!!!
And some of our cricketers do enjoy hash in parties as per reports!!

Though the hash is smoked hush hush and insiders say its done here and overseas!
Maybe vide this law this 'hashing' will cease!!

Confucius says….. our cricketers objecting to this law is showing our cricketers in bad light!!!
Never fight something that tries to set matters right!!

This job be given to Professionals
Despite Circular issued by DOPT, no one has happily opted to work under Nandan Nilkeni the new chief of Unique Identification Nos. I would suggest this job should be given to Professionals with a time frame to complete this job. The professionals with requisite background be recruited as Consultants on contract basis and with fixed retainership. The other option is recruit them at Joint Secretary Level on contract basis. They will have to paid salaries comparable to Private Sector so that there is real delivery at the end of the day. If this job is entrusted to the civil servants they will certainly make a mockery of things as usual.

Delhi scam! Will Rahul intervene?
It is understood RG and MPs of UP want a Bundelkhand auth! Guess RG should first review DDA, MCD . And see
Let me elaborate
1. Worst case of master plan violations in India
2. Encroachment of roads n parks are rampant. 2010 games are around yet there is no progress in widening of roads or removal of encroachment e.g Andheria More to Mahipalpur .
3. Look at any DDA cly, such as C-9 block of Vasant Kunj. At this point there are 7 major unauthorised construction going on with connivance of police, DDA and MCD. Similar fate in other colonies
4. Non functional traffic signals and police is focussed only on challaning offenders
5. No effort to restore the ridge. Our lungs n future . The encroachments continue
6. On paper green cover has gone up by 4 or 5 %, let someone do an audit n see how untrue it is
7. No Efforts made to educate children on clean environment. Even the 10 year old campaign for cracker free Diwali has fizzled out
8.no effort made to make green building / 4 star GRIHA rating compulsory
The list goes on

Let's be fair !
I have been reading this site for a long time and have found it to be quite interesting. If anyone finds the details of posting etc. not to one's liking, there is no need to visit the site. As regards comments by readers, I do not see how they can be attributed to the editor of the site. Perhaps the writer who commented about this may himself by writing under a pseudonym. Anyways, writing under pseudonyms is no crime but to attribute certain readers' views as being that of the editor is completely wrong. Today another person has written in favour of Menon. Would that be considered as the editor's view writing under another name?

Why can't people like Buta singh gracefully walk out of public offices?
Buta Singh is an old man but insists on clinging to public life. It's amazing that India-a young nation has to take the services of old and ailing men, instead of retiring them from public life. Why can't people like Buta singh gracefully walk out of public offices? Well public service means eating out of the public exchequer.

No proof of political interference in CBI's functioning
Investigation against Buta Singh's son is ample proof that there is no political interference with the CBI's functioning. One hopes that the CBI is equally professional in the defence deals entered into during the NDA regime, where again the high and mighty are being investigated by the premier agency.
