Aaj Ki Aawaz

Sharad Pawar has used ‘Force Majeure’ to excuse himself from record rise in prices!
And he’s got his fingers crossed and hope Force Majeure excuse suffices!!

Force Majuere means Superior Force and so act of God is a valid excuse!!!!
And for spurt in prices Act of God ko kiya Pawar ne use!!

He’s said that price rise is because of climate change!!!!
Climate change is an act of man and not God so this excuse he’ll have to change!

He’s also blaming the States for the price rise whereas he’s the epicenter for inflation!
It is his inefficiency, preoccupation with cricket and blatant hay making’s creation!!!

He says States should take inflation seriously however I’d like to add not like Pawar!!
Because Pawar is solely responsible for this price rise ka waar and  maar!!

Opposition should bring out a White Paper on inflation during UPA’s two stints!
And bring out in the White Paper money who who minted and still mints!!

I say Opposition and not BJP because on this issue entire Opposition should be one!
BJP seems to be stuck in its infighting as this war its still not won!!!

Till it wins this war BJP cannot play the role of an Opposition!!!
Now the new problem is BJP mein various Committees ki composition!!

Seems Congress is in no mood to investigate Ricegate!!!
Or to get this investigated is Sarkaar looking for a shubh date????

The ban was bypassed by giving the exports a humanitarian hue!!!!
It was made to look as if African Nations for Rice karr rahe hai queue!!!

In the end it was revealed the humanitarian angle was just a natak!!!
The humanitarian touch was given just to open 'ban ka faatak (door)'!!!

Sheila Aunty is not only in a hurry and arrogant but she’s also crafty!!!!!
She knows not commenting on the Commonwealth Games delays would be ‘dafty’!!!

So now she’s carefully worded her comment and said ‘she’s worried’!!
The progress has indeed been slow though now it’s being hurried!!

Which means more money to catch up though Kalamadi will deny this!!!
In ‘reality’ the preparedness bus India ne kee hai miss!!!

MS Gill has already washed his hands off the Games and now Sheila has done the same!
Both know the reality and don’t want that in the end they are made to take the blame!!

Delhi is unprepared for the Games!!!!!
Delhi's only preparation is its now got a hoard of ‘ escort providing dames’!!!!!

Kalamadi and gang need to be kept away from Indian Sport!!!!
Congress needs to be made culpable too as to their hay making it’s been such a sport!

Jairam is back and maybe in his pocket you will find pencils and not pens!!!
Pencils by the tens!!

That’s because now the Deal is not binding and time and again erasing will be needed!!
Inked words cannot be erased once the ‘pen has bleeded’!!!

Usage of pencils means words, lines and paras can be erased or rubbed!!!
Why do you think as a No Deal this Deal is being dubbed????

RBI seems to be more inclined to the Industry so that their borrowing cost is low!!
It is not interested in reversing the stimulus flow!!!

After all RBI top brass meets in Board Rooms and so they identify with the Industry!
Why measures are not being taken to stem the ‘excess liquidity’ is no mystery????

Or has Pranab Da like PC now got a Sensex and Nifty monitor on his table!!!!
And he too now is fixated on making both rise or at least remain stable!!

Confucius says…Reserve Bank for Industry is now how RBI is being deciphered!!!
Because in all its decisions Industry is being preferred!!!

Adds... Ex Maharashtra CM Deshmukh says for 26/11 Cops should be penalized too!!!
Seems he's forgotten why at him and Patil people did boo!!!

Patil had said 'in big Cities such incidents take place'!!!!
And post the attack to see the damage to Taj with Ram Gopal Varma in his entourage Deshmukh did race!

What irked people was his and Patil's total careless attitude during and post the attack!
And that's why both got the sack!!!!

Why do you think after 26/11 Deshmukh was called Deshmoorakh by the Public?
And imagine now he's a Mantri in the Federal Sarkaar of the Indian Republic!!!!!

Gross betrayal of the national mandate

Suddenly there is disturbing news that the Manmohan Singh government is getting all set to sign the NPT or the Nuclear Non Proliferation Treaty that would prohibit any further testing of nuclear weapons by India. This is being done under tremendous US pressure. America itself has not signed this treaty nor does it intend to do so. The sole purpose of the NPT is to freeze America’s status as the sole super power in the world. America has over 10, 000 thermonuclear devices and still feels insecure even after the demise of the Soviet Union and the Eastern Block countries. America may drink wine but it preaches water to the rest of the world. This is the sum and substance of the NPT. Our PM has said recently and rather quietly that India is now willing to sign the NPT. Why? This is a gross betrayal of the national mandate not to sign the NPT unless the US  and other countries also do so. Even Little England has 60 Hydrogen bombs for its  defence. One may ask defence against whom? Scotland, Wales and Ireland??? Nuclear weapons are not an Anglo Saxon monopoly. There has to be a Brown bomb, a Black bomb , an Islamic Bomb , a Yellow bomb etc not just  White bombs. Dr. Kakodkar also gave an interview to the media that we no longer need to test atomic bombs.  All this seems to be an attempt to prepare the ground for the capitulation to American pressure. Now the government is also suddenly saying that electricity from civil nuclear plants will take double the time as their installation will take twice as long as estimated earlier. In other words the civil nuclear deal,( as was obvious to all of us citizens of India ),was an eyewash and an abject surrender of India’s right to test nuclear bombs. What the government is now planning to do is anti national and against India’s self interest. I hope our noisy politicians will wake to the great danger and prevent the government from going ahead and castrating  India for all times.

Heads should roll !

Yes,  Deshmukh has rightly pointed the 'heads should roll'. However I don’t think, Deshmukh and RR Patil haven't be suitably punished or held accountable for their errors of omission. On the other hand , Media's favorite target Shivraj Patil has borne the brunt of  overcritical media and a Bunch of armchair patriots. Shivraj Patil was the Home minister and head of the security of the  whole nation , not just an area in Mumbai. The Home Minister functions across the country, so being taken to task for a singular incident reeks of hypocrisy and possible double standards . Going by the same analogy, why did the Home Minister /Prime Minister not resign during the Parliament attack or Defence Minister during Kargil intrusions ?
Why this overwhelming sense of accountability from him only ? When the CM & state HM have already been absolved of their guilt by their party leaders and media to a large extent. Why the bureaucratic organization has not been taken to task ?

Pragmatically speaking, Does it really hurt our sensitivities or our sense of national pride if you have a  HM who is well-dressed and cultured in behavior.
Are we not losing focus as a nation, this incident will get us more uncouth leaders who spit the pan and scratch their crotch in public, just because overcritical & judgmental media thinks civilized demeanor is so UN-INDIAN. Is he being singled out, castigated and stigmatized for his integrity and secular credentials by the nefarious  powers to be ?
I think the congress party should rightfully reinstate Mr Shivraj patil in  the Cabinet/govt  and not loose a well-groomed, honest, principled and visionary leader to a bunch of ill-educated critics.

Why this discrepancy ?

When 1990 batch in the IAS are getting empanelled as Joint Secreary, 1981 batch of the IRS has still not been considered. Why is the Government going against the recommendations of the pay Commission? Why is the Finance Minister sitting quiet over the inefficiency of the CBDT? Whys is the PM silent over the lackaidaisical approach of those concerned in DOP &T?
Swamy
Is it a fair ?

Is it a fair administrative practice that while empanelment of 1990 batch of IAS is being done the batches even upto 1985 have not been covered from other central services?
Will this leave any good feelings in other services? Where are we going in this country? Are the courts left to be only solutions to our problems?

Why Food Security For MPs ?

A seemingly innocuous statement by Sharad Pawar on  Dec 20, 2009, attributing  the existing price rise  of consumer goods  to ‘global warming’  jolted me into writing  this piece. Sheer baloney, was it! The price inflation during the past two years has been phenomenal. Does it not demonstrate GOI’s failure in controlling price rise? Will the country’s economists including the PM agree with such frivolous and escapist statement of Agriculture minister on ‘Food Security’? Let us spare a word about the BPLs (37%  as per GOI estimate) . They do not get two square meals a day. They merely get election promises on ‘Food Security’ in terms of UPA’s mandate. On the contrary, the mollycoddled MPs who represent them get total’ food security’ through highly subsidized canteens located inside the Parliament House, its Annexe and the Library. Is this concealed subsidy justified? One feels such food security to MPs in the temple of democracy is a blot on the Parliament. How could these parliamentarians digest food at such abysmally low price and debate the issue of 'Food Security ‘for the down-trodden. This is hypocrisy at its worst!. Worse still, enjoying virtually free lunches and dinners by the staff and officers of the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha Sectts  looks to me  down- right vulgar, to say the least! I have personally seen them  shamelessly enjoying the 5-Star grub during the deliberations  of the Standing Finance Committees attached to various ministries. All this at the tax-payers’ cost. Will the Speaker, Lok Sabha and Deputy Chairman, Rajya Sabha  jointly ponder over these matters seriously in a transparent manner and order immediate withdrawal of concealed subsidies to Parliamentary food jaunts. These heavenly canteens must also be declared in-accessible to the Parliamentary Secretariat babus and Security Staff. Let the Parliamentarians cutting across party lines lead by examples and boycott these canteens,  run by the Railways, if they have the slightest  concerns for the poor.
