with RTI The applicant sought the copy of legal opinion obtained
by the Public Authority in respect of certain High Court directions on an arbitration
matter. The CIC held that the legal opinion is fiduciary in nature and hence exempted
u/s 8(1)(e). The applicant contended that as the decision of the government
in the arbitration matter would touch the lives of a large number of employees,
a larger Public Interest is involved. The CIC rejected the appeal holding that
it would be incorrect to interpret the interest of the opposite party as Public
Interest simply because it involves interests of the mass of employees. Comments
The government fights a number of legal cases in the courts against other

Ki Aawaz BJP should realize last minute Ram chant is
of no use!!! It looks more like a lame excuse!! If BJP wants to attract
Hindu votes then make Modi the PM candidate!!! And believe me to do this it's
still not late!!! Though now Modi has been given an all India role but that
is not enough, To dislodge UPA BJP needs Modi to huff and puff!!! BJP
literally stands at crossroads and loss in upcoming polls, Will take BJP back
decades and so it needs to reevaluate its goals!! 'End dynastic politics'
is Modi's chant!!!! Some in Congress would not mind this but Congress simply
can't!!! Its time BJP realized now an anti Gandhi family stance will not get
votes!!!! Hope this Modi notes!!! Sonia and Rahul do not get a negative
response like the Gandhis before them!!!! So this anti Gandhi campaign BJP
needs to stem!!! Don't know why BJP does not run a positive campaign?????
And let negativity wane!!!! Why not concentrate on bijli, sadak, pani, roti,
kapda and makaan???? See what Public wants and then put these items ' on the
shelves in its dukaan'!!!! Talk of internal and food security and of making
India go places!!!! Why not talk of the challenges that India faces????
Sonia says Congress will return to power so what does this mean????? Laloo,
Pawar, Karuna and Pawar will say Sonia's being mean!!! Because they expected
Sonia to say UPA will return to power!!!! And so all of them will be very
sour!!! Rahul's order.... all Cabinet Ministers have a photo of Kalavati!!!!
So that they could have a pro poor matti (mindset)!!!! Rahul's demand....
policy makers should always keep poor in mind!!! However during its stint
in power UPA kicked the poor many times in the hind!!! Pakistan says that
26/11 attack was planned somewhere in Europe !!! Either Pakis think they can
fool all or they are high on dope!!! This attack was hatched and initiated
from Pakistan !!!! And from Pakistan via sea the perpetrators came into Hindustan
!!! Pakistan can go blue in its face denying Pakistan 's role in the 26/11
attack, There were only Pakistanis in the 26/11 terror pack!!! Confucius
says
.. Pakistan deserves its title of Rogue State !!!! ' Pakistan is
the most dangerous Country in the World' very aptly this Albright did state!!

Raising retirement age unjustified This country has around 65 percent
population in the age group of 25-40 years. The country is already in the grip
of recession and thousands of young and qualified unemployed are anxiously looking
for productive employment. On the other hand cynical bureaucracy is out to feed
itself by raising the retirement age!! How can you even justify this very thought
when unemployment is growing at an alarming rate? What have these so-called "experienced"
bureaucrats achieved for the country other than failing even to anticipate and
prevent repeated terror strikes? When the whole world is lauding young Obama for
his fresh ideas and bold approach for change, we are chalking out a plan to retain
the inefficient and bloated bureaucracy beyond their normal retirement years.
Of course the political establishment is in the grip of self-centered ruthless
officers who would already be feeding the nervous political establishment imaginary
reasons for raising retirement age so that all these worthies can enjoy the unaccountable
powers and perks for two more years. I am sure they will not rest till they achieve
their goal. Observing the series of populist fiscal measures, the day may not
be very far when the retirement age will be raised. The fact that even otherwise
around 60-70% of Government work force is totally demotivated and out of sync
with the modern office work practices will not deter the bureaucracy from pursuing
this utterly useless path. God help this country to have bureaucrats with integrity
and conscience atleast in future!! Ravija Will IAS be covered
? As per report in this website, Deparment of Revenue is going to prepare
cases against officers on the ground of moral turpitude. While it is a good move,
has the government or any of its department has ever did similar exercise in case

BJP's ideological bankruptcy! BJP's re-invocation of the "Hindutva"
card for the upcoming General elections, merely demonstrates its intellectual
and ideological bankruptcy. Religion is no longer an issue. Instead, it is an
anachronism for the 21st century ! It only divides the nation. Is it the motive
of the BJP to take the country back to the 19th century? Their agenda, I suppose,
should have focussed on burning national issues like: Exponential growth of corruption
under the present Government, failure of Indian diplomacy to tackle terrorism,
diluting the authority of de jure PM by imposing the extra-constitutional and
de facto authority of the UPA Chairperson, dynastic perpetuation of authority
by projecting Rahul Gandhi as the next Prime minister of the country ,Satyam/DDA
lottery/ housing and provident fund scams etc. How could the BJP, by virtue of
its poor and irrational track record in Karnataka, claim to be a national party
?What is it gaining by its divisive policy? A K Saxena ( A retired civil
