Aaj Ki Aawaz
Lo jee….. New Year started with a bang!!!
This time in Assam with a bang in the New Year ULFA rang!!
Our Home Minister seems to be suffering form a crisis of identity!!!
He himself and others connected with MOF take him still to be FM and that's a pity!
Like today there are ads in newspapers by SBI on the opening of their 11,111 Branch!
And the ad has a pic of PC …. is MOF still feeling PC's aanch (heat)????
Wish he'd stop talking on matters of Finance and concentrate of Home!!!!
And we all know why to MOF his mind time and again karta hai roam!!!
How could cash just vanish from BJP's HQ in Dilly????
And missing cash has made Advani's and Rajnath's relationship even more chilly!!
Personal ambitions are now BJP's bane!!!
You get to see this again and again!!!!
Can't they put ambitions aside till the general poll!!!
Winning the polls should be their sole goal!!!
With every passing day I get the feeling Congress is getting stronger!!!
And the road to Dilli for BJP seems to be getting longer and longer!!!
BJP leaders have to realize their personal ambitions will trip BJP on the road to Dilli!
And if BJP does not get Dilli then all personal ambitions will end up willy-nilly!
Pakistan continues to demand evidence!!!
Or is Pakistan just behaving dense!!!
Into Pakistan sense can only be drilled in by Uncle Sam!!!!
For other's it cares a damn!
LeT changed to JuD and now its taken a new name!!!!
New name but objectives remain same!!
Today what is needed is the breaking up of Pakistan !!!
Like what the Brits did to Hindustan !!!
Its time Pakistan was cut to size!!!!
For making the terror element controllable in Pakistan this would suffice!!
In both J&K and in Bangladesh the fundamentalists have been beaten!!!
Humble 'veggie and not gosht biryani' they've eaten!!!
Back to some more vows for the New Year!!!!
Zardari has vowed that the end of his widower days are near!!!
Bush has vowed that he'll tour the World to fight for his Family's honor!!!
So that he can erase his family's 'wimp and chimp' dishonor!!!
Obama's New Year vow is to get White House exorcised before he shifts!!!!
And he'll do this by giving the Demons left behind by Bush gifts!!!
Indian Political Parties should vow not to demean us by giving tickets to Stars!
Examples....Govinda and Dharmendra have made their electorates see stars!!!
Confucius says…… Wish Nations take a vow!!!!
We'll mind our own business from now!!!!!!

Why CCS lost out?
Mathematical calculations bear out that, as reported in Whispers, most IPS/IFS officers will retire in the pay scale of 75,500 -80000 while CCS Class I will end up in 37400 - 67000 plus grade pay. Those who retired before 2006 in the scale of 22400-24500 (CCITs, CPMGs etc.) are feeling cheated. Those who retired / will retire 2006 onwards are not feeling the comparative disadvantage now. They will be suckered in 2016 when pensions are revised. The associations representing CCS class I officers did not do their homework and were not fully aware of the mechanics and formulae of pension fixation. IPS/IFS officers managed to persuade the union cabinet to give DGPs/PCCFs a scale that was not recommended by the pay commission. Had CCS seriously demanded a pay scale of 74,500 - 79,000 for the officers in the old pay scale of 22400-24500, they could have got it easily because financial implications were miniscule. These associations had a fixation for full parity with IAS and the foreign service. This kind of grandstanding and one point programme obviated the need to do some hard thinking for the benefit of the members and the pensioners. Playing to the gallery can be harmful. Even now, instead of trying to salvage the situation by hard thinking and effective lobbying, all that these lazy associations will do is to blame the IAS lobby.
M.P. Baur
There is no doubt that Rati Ram, IPS, who retired on December 31st was an outstanding officer. People who know him were always aware of his humble and simple nature. He believed in objectivity and therefore had served in sensitive posts during any parties tenure. Masses loved him for his dedication and for upholding justice with equity. Unfortunately, good officers like him in India are not given recognition which is a very bad system in India. But irrespective of all this they are always remembered and are role model for many. At the end it is their victory.

TAIL-PIECE
Old one but good one
Beggars' Classic from London
Parvinder and Habib are beggars. They beg in different areas of London. Habib begs just as long as Parvinder but only collects £2 to £3 every day. Parvinder brings home a suitcase FULL of £10 notes, drives a Mercedes, lives in a mortgage-free house and has a lot of money to spend.
Habib says to Parvinder 'I work just as long and hard as you do but how do you bring home a suitcase full of £10 notes every day?' Parvinder says, 'Look at your sign, what does it say'? Habib's sign reads 'I have no work, a wife and 6 kids to support'. Parvinder says 'No wonder you only get £2- £3
Habib says... 'So what does your sign say'?
Parvinder shows Habib his sign....
It reads, 'I only need another £10 to move back to Pakistan'.
