HMT to be revived ?
There is hope of revival of the ailing public sector HMT (Hindustan Machine Tools) with the Finance Minister allocating Rs 36.84 crore in the budget.

Aaj Ki Aawaz
Just recall the bytes from 2007 and Maya told Mulayam in the very same way!!!
'Let your near and dear get raped and compensation of Rs 2 Lakhs Muslims would pay'!!!
She's clearly forgotten she had made such a statement!!!
But at that time behind bars by Mulayam she was not sent!!!
Maya's just hyping things up as her DA case is now moving to a conclusive phase!!
And she wanted Congress to order CBI to press a specific button…. Erase!!
Congress's not done this and now she's itching to show Congress's and CBI's bias!!!
And that is why she's hyping up things and taking to the dais!!
She's going to cry from dais to dais ' Dalit ke beti is being persecuted'!!!!
' A witch hunt against Bahujan Samaj is by UPA being executed'!!!
Sonia and Rahul should just ignore her taunt pe taunt and poke pe poke!!!!
If they respond fire Maya is going to stoke!!!
Joshi said what we all say….. put yourself in the other's shoe!!!!
To realize how the other feels this is what people ask you to do!!!!
When a kids go hungry the Moms will go and place the kids at one of Maya's statue's feet!
And lo and behold with the hunger pangs they will be able to beat!!!
Maya is akin to Nero....... he strummed the harp as Rome burned!!!!
Maya built statues as UPites facing long power cuts in the garmi burned!!!
India has agreed to carry forward the composite dialogue even in the shadow of terror!
BJP says this is an error!!!
Fact is India has shown its willingness for peace and if there is a terror strike!!!!
A terror strike that brings out a public outcry then India will have to tell Pakis to take a hike!
But India has taken a tactful step and put the ball in the Paki court!!!!!
Its Advantage India though its ' Gilani's victory' claims many a report!!!
Talking of BJP…… in Lok Sabha BJP is invisible or not seen!!!!!
From its internal squabbling nahi ho rahi hai BJP wean!!!!
Fact of the matter BJP is stricken with Advanitis which is causing degeneration!!!
And by the looks of if for BJP to redeem itself it will take 'another generation'!!!
Advani's think tank is still conjuring up reasons for BJP defeat!!!!
Someway by which reality they are able to beat!!!
Veggie and pulses prices are surging!!!
And Aam Aadmi's pockets the rise is purging!!!
Hope Sonia is not taking the Sarkaar inflation figures as the truth!!!
To the Aam Aadmi the Sarkaari figure is uncouth!!
And India Agri and Food and Civil Supplies Mantri does not care a hoot!!!
High prices karr rahi hai Aam Aadmi ko loot!!!
So many preemptive measures could have been taken!!!
But to reality this dolt Pawar refused to awaken!!!
He ran away to London and when he returned he became a Met Spokesman!!!
Said Indian is well stocked on grains and then realizing the truth enforced an export ban!
And his sidekick Praful now says AI is going in for an IPO!!!
Mohna should put his foot down and say no!!!
Why give transfusion when the bleeder has not been clamped or plugged????
At Praful mulling an IPO for AI Mohna should be bugged!!
Confucius says…… UPA2 for all purposes is a Congress Sarkaar!!!
And its Congress that will be garlanded and receive brickbats ki maar!!
Adds….. So don't let Pawar and Praful give UPA2 a bad name!!!!
Because it's not them or NCP but Sonia, Mohna and Congress who'll face the shame shame!!!

Promotional avenues for CPO cadre officers enhanced?

(i) A couple of days ago I read the euphoric comments of some BSF officers about promotion of the first cadre officer to the rank of additional DG and enhancement of the quota in the rank of IG to 50 percent. The excitement was a bit premature though. The fine prints of both these orders need to be seen.
(ii) The promotion to the rank of Addl DG can take place only if one completes 3 years as IG. This Herculean task is well neigh possible. The average length of service left for a BSF officer has been calculated to be just one year after he becomes an IG. This is a matter of record which is verifiable. So Gaur becomes Additional DG and retires after 20 days on July 31st. The next officer has no chance of becoming Additional Director General before end of 2010. So what happens? The vacant posts of will be taken over by IPS lords after they remain vacant for 6 months. After the retirement of Mr Mishra ( who may pick up the rank of Addl DG in Jan 2001) nobody else will make it to this rank for next 5-7 years. This is the state. So there is no need for the cadre officers to be happy. They are subservient and will remain so.
I will deal with the order regarding IGs in my next post

Judges vacancies in high courts !!!

The number of vacancies of Judges in High Courts is staggering. Shame on Department of Justice under Ministry of Law for this mess! Reasons, however, are not far to seek. The GoI is not able to locate pliable judicial officers, who could toe its line. Will Mr. Moilly, the new Law Minister look into the delay and fix the responsibilities on officers of Department of Justice who are responsible for this. I suppose, Mr. Moilly, unlike his predecessor, H.R. Bhardwaj, has no personal agenda. Pendency of cases in High Courts is beyond anybody's imagination. Justice delayed is Justice denied!
A.K. Saxena (A retired civil servant)
Keep it up Mr. Saxena

I have known V.K. Saksena for last 25 years. An extremely competent, polished and sophisticated officer, he is a symbol of support to other officers, staff members, professionals, and he has never wavered in his commitment to the President of the Republic. He spent more than 66 months in Kolkata, much to the advantage of Revenue, even at the cost of his family health in Kolkata, and he was not given a change within the Department despite family's health problems. He was to join in a sensitive post, and people were jittery, given his commitment to the job, competence, and level of loyalty towards the President of the Republic, and today has been a day of celebration for many, happy to see him go away from Kolkata. Well, you can always please people at least some times. Sometimes when you come, and sometimes when you go. On both counts Saksena has been giving happiness. I am sure he will be an asset to the new assignment he will join next week. I wish him all success, especially to the funding of the Commonwealth Games.

Govt must act against raid info leakage

The prediction of raid and the officials bio-data will help the tax evaders to take precautions. It will defeat target of I.T. Department. The govt. will seriously view the leakage and strict action should be taken against the person who are involved

Sir, Your website is doing a great job. However please don't publish stories like forthcoming IT Raids as this hampers our Department functioning
Ritesh
I am surprised to see that Income Tax raids are getting routinely leaked out since last 3-4 months. Websites like yours are getting information in advance which never used to be the case before. Well this answers the question as to why Chairman CBDT and RS had strongly opposed the appointment of the current incumbent as Member Investigation & Special Secretary to the extent of clearly noting down in the files. But what to do? Chairman & RS propose, Omita Paul disposes! Our Pranab Da sometimes isnt able to resist women pressure while deciding on key appointments.
Swapan Mehra
It is my request that such kind of secret departmental issues should not be leaked before the occurrence of the search .This can result in raid being a failure and can cause a loss to exchequer of nation. I think whispers in the corridors is not doing a service to nation by posting such kind of whispers prior to raid which happens in all secrecy

IRS Transfers.

The IRS transfers generate so much heat and controversy because it is the Nation's biggest cadre. In spite of it there is no in house secretary from IRS. The service is talented but not recognised. Poor cousins of IRS such as customs, Defense, Information, Accounts etc do not have numbers to air their grievance. The way IRS officers function through their career refusing the claims of the Tax Payers perhaps is the most logical reason for the deviant behaviour of mandarins in CBDT. Any JS from out side cadre gets afflicted with this virus of saying "no" by the IRS.

As regards Swamy's comment that CITs on promotion should be posted to ITAT, the ITAT experience is valuable for all officers. Many of senior CITs have not seen the face of ITAT even for a day. Instead of posting newly promoted officers there, CITs who have not worked as DR (ITAT) at all till now should be first posted there in the order of seniority, so that no CIT misses out on this valuable experience before promotion as CCIT.

With reference to Vivek Dhawan's comments it is stated that it is very easy to criticize government servants what about businessmen like Rama Linga Raju and others, who are not only manipulators and fixers but also spoil the Government servants by bribing them to get their work done. Also not all government servants are shirkers. The people involved in family business are also shirkers. Their lackadaisical attitude has led the poor man losing his money in the form of share money or fixed deposits given to those lackadaisical businessmen. The recent trend of recession all over the world is only because of the immoral methods adopted by the private sector. 'Jin ke ghar shishe ke bane hotein hain woh dusron ke ghar par pathar nahi fekte hain'.
