Aaj Ki Aawaz
Opposition charge on the Joint Statement turned out to be khoda pahad nikla kuch nahi!
In kitchen parlance 'jaag lagayi parr nahi jamma dahi'!!!
Sonia must remember that she has to keep her troops in check!!!
Because there are few 'senior Congressmen' who at Mohna will always peck!!!
And seems this time she got into a tizzy and felt Mohna had tripped!!!!
It was because of what came out of Congress frenzy Opposition whipped!!
Sidelight…..antics of some of our MPs during the direct telecast were difficult to endure!!!
Like the MP sitting behind Sharad Yadav giving himself a manicure and pedicure!!
While Sharad spoke you could see this MP biting his nails and using his fingers on his toe!
And what was really nauseating when into his nose the same finger did go!!!
Munde was seen digging his nose!
But then he realized he was in camera glare and innocent he tried to pose!!
Shatrughan Sinha sat pompously showing as if he understood everything being said!!
He would not even know what bilateral means ….. pretty empty in the head!!!
Anil Ambani sent Mulayam some mithai that gave Mulayam gas……boora haal!!
Now Anil says the mithai came from Deora and this was Deora's chaal!!!
Chaal…. because Mukesh had sent Deora this mithai…….. why did he pass it on!!!
Anil says 'this is simply not on'!!!
Mulayam's gas problem was so bad that in Lok Sabha he kept standing up and shouting!
His discomfiture and pain no one was doubting!!!
Seems even Anil got a bout of this gas during the EGM and blamed it on his big bro!!!
In fact so bad was his case that while speaking on stage he walked to and fro!!
But why are Anil and Mulayam wanting Sarkaar to sort their flatulence?????
Simply does not make sense!!
But Anil sure missed Amar the A Gang's rabble rouser…one man braying brigade!!
What a shindy Amar Singh would have made?????
He'd have insulted and threatened ….. ranted and raved!!!!
For Amar's presence in India Anil must have really craved!!!
Mulayam's Samaajwaad ..... he did not join Aam Admi being short changed protest!!!
But at Anil saying he's being shortchanged he showed his detest!!!
The resignation that Omar submitted to Vohra shows the game he's playing!!
Not doing what he's saying!!!
Even in his resignation he shows his 'double speak'!!!
He's trying to show he's strong whereas he's just weak!!!
Headlines ' Omar resigns but stays on' ...... very odd and funny!!!!
But what else can you expect from Farroukh and his sonny!!
Omar wants to run away form J&K to Dilli!!!!
He finds J&K too hot to handle, cage existence and weather too chilly !!!!
He misses his partying in Dilli …… says Dilli is his kind of City!!!
A pal wished him 'a long and happy stay in J&K' and Omar said 'have pity'!!!
And Dad will live it up be it J&K or Dilli….. and he's the life of every party!!!!
They say Faroukh knows how to party but sadly forgets when not to party!!
I still feel Father and Son will swap places!!!
So Father and son will be soon shifting bases!!
Lawyers are supposed to ensure their client gets justice and not subvert it!!!
At the very definition of a Lawyer a Anand hit!!!!
Anand tried to subvert justice in the BMW case ….. prosecution ke saath collusion!!
Punish him with ban for life from practicing law….. apt solution!!!
Message...law subversion and that too by those supposed to uphold law is unacceptable!!
If a strong message is not sent sentiment will be subverting law is in a way acceptable!
Sentiment …. Anand did it and though he was caught red handed and was indicted!
He got off with meager punishment and he got of lightly as he had predicted!!
Kingfisher employees from the CEO have received an email,
'Please do not get worried if to pay you your salary on time we fail'!
The email also says 'your Chairman is fighting a lonely battle'!!!!
Idea is to ensure that 'cattle' nahi ho jaye rattle!!!
The email also says 'good times could end' or Kingfisher could crash!!!
Irony ........because the Chairman of Kingfisher has been rash!!!!
Lonely battle….. from his Yacht or racing car or riding one of his racing horses!!!
Wage Bill for six months can be met if he just sells his collection of watches say sources!
King of good times is lording it up as his employees worry about 'food on the table'!!!!
'Lonely' he lives it up whereas employees worry about their lives becoming unstable!!
Seems by delaying salaries and saying 'good times' could come to an end!!
To the Sarkaar a signal karr raha hai send!!!
Hoping that Sarkaar will allow him leeway in paying fuel bills and some more aid!!!
A tricky game Mallya's played!!!
Indians are far more happier than Americans …… and why is that so????
Because Indians save and to live beyond their means they say no!!
Americans get momentary happiness by using 'plastic' and are always short in cash!!!!
Where they tend to blow it off Indians balance it….spend and stash!!!
The American working class is usually one pay cheque away from going broke!!!
If the next pay cheque does not come on expenses they have to apply rokk!!!
Indians on the other hand have savings and then there is family support!!!!
Americans when they reach 20 either leave home or Parents karr dethe hai 'deport'!!!
Confucius says…… in Indian pariwaars there is still selfless love!!!
In US……. sabh se badha Dollar ….. even apne bachcho se above!!!

Scandals galore

After the previous alliance has once again come back in government, strangely, one after the other scandals are coming to light. The latest is the scandal involving the Petroleum Ministry taking sides with one industrial group in a dispute with another, as was revealed lucidly by the affected group which has also written to the PM about it. In all probability after the revelation, high officials in Petroleum Ministry are unlikely to support the Minister any more. It seems that the Prime Minister will have to deal with very many ministers viz. Telecom (Spectrum), Civil Aviation(Air India), Agriculture (Ricegate), Commerce(Ricegate in previous Govt.) and now Petroleum (KG Basin gas pricing dispute).

Give on lease to pvt parties, they will earn
If these hotels are given on lease to private parties, not only they will earn but they will give handsome returns to the GOI. This is really a sorry and said state of affairs that these hotels are serving the purpose of some high ups and not that of the class for which they are meant.

Narayanmurthy should decline offer
If Narayanamurthy knows what is good for him, he should politely but firmly decline the offer to join the Airindia Board. Airindia has been and will be sustained on liquid oxygen. The oxygen-government bailout-will not allow it to die and the liquid-the recalcitrant employees and an indifferent management of babus-will not allow it to live. Over the years, successive governments and employees between them have emasculated the management. The so called eminent personalities who choose to join as independent Directors will meet their Waterloo in Airindia where Netas and babus will continue to call the shots, in the bargain implicating the independent Directors. If the Government is really serious about rescuing Airindia, it can very well do what needs to be done without independent Directors who will be independent in name only.

Others are second class citizens
This only goes to show that the government including the pay commission benefits are meant only for IAS officers and the others belonging to other services are second class citizens. There is a long standing demand that Deputy Secretaries should be placed in PB-4 just as Directors as they perform similar duties. But the Govt. cares a damn for them as these posts are manned mostly by non IAS officers. The IAS officers working as Deputy Secretaries get hefty amounts as deputation allowance and almost all of them within a year of their joining the centre are placed in the grade of Director and so they get the benefit of PB-4.It is also worthwhile to note that the gap between PB-3 and PB-4 is substantial.PB-2 is 9300-34800 and PB-3 is 15600-39100 whereas PB-4 is 37400-67000. Is this not height of favouritism in respect those in the higher echelons of the Civil Service of which more than 90% belongs to the IAS. Would your site be good enough to bring this glaring anomaly to the notice of the PM an FM.
A CSS officer.

Soldier's Burial
- Dinesh Singh
Five feet deep
I bury you with reverence.
Loved and missed by
rustling sheets of a bed
empty swing in a courtyard's tree
child prying for a shelter
from a scolding mother
and village gathering
all ears for a tale of valour
part truth and mostly
fortified by free flowing rum.
We never met
when I could envy your gun
field glasses, woolens and cosy tent
and enquire about the cherubic brat
in your purse
so much like mine.
And not for a medal
nor pay, raise or a peace posting
did I cut you
in a hail of bullets
but for my classmate of ten years
who followed me in love, marriage and fauj
is right now travelling to riverbank
on shoulders of his old man.
Let tears not drown your courage
nor cloud reasons
your own country
abandons you
and its me that buries you
five feet deep.
Ravi
