official tours It has been observed by me during my service of more than
35 years that now a days most of the tours undertaken by the officers are just
to meet their personal requirements, though it is difficult to prove. For these
so called official tours the tickets are purchased from the Government funds.
Against these tour tickets some of the officers are still getting complimentary
tickets for their family members. This is against the spirit of the order issued
in the second half of 2008. There appears to be no justification for issue of
these complimentary tickets when the Air India is not able to make salary payments
to its employees. Will PM/FM/CVC/CMD, Air India and Rahul Gandhi shall make their
earnest and sincere effort to ensure that such a misuse is stopped." A
Visitor PESB should be asked to hunt a new CMD for BHEL Public
Enterprises selection Board (PESB) should be given the responsibility to find
out a new & efficient CMD for BHEL, rather than entrusting the task to the
search committee. The earlier Minister Santosh Mohan Deb had done much damage
to this public sector behemoth by interfering in the PESB's selection process
and he is the main culprit for the current ad hoc raj in BHEL. We hope that new
Minister Vilas Rao Deshmukh will correct mistakes that were committed by predecessors
and BHEL will soon have a full fledged CEO properly selected on merit basis. K
J Raman Will anybody bother about non IAS cadres? Inspite of
election code , 1976 batch IAS was empanelled . But what about CSS and even other
Central Services? Will anybody bother about them? With the Cabinet Secretary getting
an extension, these poor cousins can also hope for some redemption. The present
Cabinet Secretary is the only impartial officer to have headed the bureaucracy.
I hope he keeps up his reputation and gets empanelled officers belonging to CSS
and other Central Services. T S Vasan Kudos to DOPT: DOPT
should be well appreciated for issuing the ACP Order which conveys nothing but
takes away the benefit of the earlier 2 ACPs. We , after having in put in 20-25
years of service have been considered an animal only known to DOPT and persons
who had drafted this ACP order because of its stupid ineffective contents. On
the other hand; contrary to the 6th CPC recommendations; now officers will be
entitled to use the mileage points gained from official tour for travelling abroad
for their personal visits with family and with regard to LTC the entitlement was
only for Economy Class though they are eligible for business class for official
tours has been revised and now they are eligible for business class. Kindly let
us know whether we non-gazetted staff are in India and ruled by Indians or governed
by Britishers or by some other foreigners. Even they would be more sympathetic.
We hope so. A Visitor It is very difficult for CBI to raid IPS
officers The CBI is headed by an IPS officer hence it is very difficult
for it to raid IPS officers. Ombudsman of Karnataka state recently raided and
unearthed black money of Rs.250 crore which is the highest accumulation of money
by way of bribe by any officer in the Indian history. Further , I am surprised
to receive SMS from CBI inviting complaints against Central staff without getting
ashamed in Mayawati & Mulayam case before the Supreme Court of India (SCI).
IPS officers head the CBI. Hence, it is very difficult for it raid IPS officers. S
