whisper's survey: Thumbs up for Rahul Gandhi
The "Nehru-Gandhi" family still seems to be the binding force in the Congress Party. All demands and talks within the party for a strong second line of succession and projection of regional leaders come to a halt the moment the name of a member of the Nehru-Gandhi family is projected. There is no dispute on leadership and everybody (whether senior or junior, young or old) falls in line. Is this due to the tight hold of the family on the party's affairs or dynastic rule as the opposition alleges or lack of good leaders within the Congress Party. We decided to seek opinion from our surfers in a survey about who would make the best Prime Minister among the Congress leaders and why? The result of the survey has been startling as a majority backs Rahul Gandhi, the youthful face of the Congress and its present general secretary for the top post. What is surprising is that Sonia Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi too have greater approvals than the present Prime Minister Manmohan Singh or senior Congress leader Pranab Mukherjee.
While Sonia Gandhi had declined the post of Prime Minister in 2004 and still appears to be in no mood to give into pressures from partymen and Priyanka too suggesting to be away from politics for now, the spotlight has turned to Rahul Gandhi. The surfers have rated him as the best bet for the future of Congress. He is considered to be honest, charismatic and youthful. His only drawback - Rahul is considered a novice in politics and they want him to mature as a politician before taking on the big job.
Despite his lack of experience, Rahul Gandhi is favoured by the majority over the present lot of Congress leaders or the leaders in the opposition ranks and files. Of the 317 responses we received roughly 171 (about 53 per cent) have voted for Rahul Gandhi followed by Sonia Gandhi and Priyanka Vadra. Manmohan Singh follows next with about 68 people (about 21 per cent) having approved his policies. Just seven per cent believe that Pranab Mukherjee would make a good Prime Minister while three per cent have approved A.K. Antony for the post.
Some responses
Rahul has a charismatic personality. He knows how to address the masses like his grand mother, late Indira Gandhi and his father, late Rajiv Gandhi. Besides this, he has vision to build India further like what Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru did for India. In addition to these, he has the shortcoming i.e he is bachelor. That is why stalwarts treat him as a new entrant in the political system.
Ashok Chadha
Not only Rahul but also Sonia Gandhi and Priyanka Vadara are leaders, they are only Umbrellas under which all congressmen feel safe and secure to do fulfill their personal ambitions except national ambitions. There cannot be any other umbrella in the Congress at any cost.

Young and energetic Prime Minister may do more good in all spheres of people of India
P. Gangadharan
The congress party today runs like a private Ltd., company. If he is chosen as their leader, that's their internal matter. However, if he is thrust upon center stage, then what is the administrative or political experience that he has? NIL. So, that's how things will move accordingly!
Rajesh Deshmukh
Rahul Gandhi as an individual appears to be fine gentleman. As a politician he needs to learn many tricks of the trade. Indian politics in its present form is the most complex phenomena, where no one can predict whether votes will make the government or notes will save it. Rahul need to concentrate on core issues confronting our country. He has to spell out priority to address core issues. As a politician, if he has to succeed, he needs to come out of the shadow of Gandhi family and prove his acumen at his own. In the present scenario there is no dearth of talent in our country and Dr Manmohan Singh has proved it.
Manmohan
What I strongly believe is that Mr. Rahul Gandhi is benign, intelligent, proactive and prompt in life with all humanity/compassion in him.
Harcharan Singh Bhalla
In my lifetime I have heard one quotation 'Nanak Naam Chadti Kalan' - means name of the Nanak is enough for getting one's ship through. The same is the quotation application for Congress party, where 'Gandhi' name is enough for them to remain as a flock together.
Ashok Kumar Bhimani
Well Rahul Gandhi is not the best leader, he lacks expertise, though he will have a vision. But if he stays actively in politics, he can make significant contributions and next elections he will be more qualifying for Prime Minister.

Say if pre poll Alliances cannot form Sarkaar what will President do!
Well then President should call the one ahead and the one trailing too!!
People's verdict is for a hung house so no one has the mandate to rule!!!!
So by calling one to prove majority why make the Voter look like a fool!!!
Post election when no one has our mandate to rule!!!
One Alliance should not benefit in bidding and buying Allies should be the rule?????
So in such a condition based on our verdict call the leading two!!!!!
Though there will be demands and rightly so call the third one too!!!!
Via this process at least to some extent our mandate is being respected!!!
And post election from our verdict the process is not disconnected!!
Indians need to worry as post election we and India will be put on the block!!!
As Alliances try to increase apne apne flock!!!
Look at the demands being made for support!!!!
You all must have already read ' Mulayam's sack Maya for our support' report!!!
Speaking of Mulayam…. seems his and Amar's relationship is now breaking!!!
Closeness for some time both were faking!!
And maybe after Amar's exit Mulayam will see light!!!
Then for Stars and prominent Businessmen he will not fight!!!
From poonjiwaad to samajwaad he will return!!!
But this will only be possible if all bridges with Amar karta hai Mulayam burn!!
Amar's Neta days may end abruptly and he may turn to becoming an actor!!!
In his life this is the X factor!!!
Laloo seems to have lost it!!!!
While voting at the Media he chose to hit!!!
He's angry that Media saw his downfall and reported this to us!!!
Now Laloo who used the Media says Media ke saath merri ho gayi hai buss!!!
And Laloo has gone green with envy seeing Nitish's demand!!!
Nitish got glowing recommendations from Congress's second in Command!!
Laloo thought the ticketless travel he allowed to and from Bihar would make him win!!
Seeing Nitish's performance voting for Laloo in the past Biharis consider a sin!
And Paswan's sulk means he's keeping his options open!!!!
Its well know channel with NDA kiya hai Paswan ne reopen!!!
And imagine this man wanted to be the Messiah of the poor and weak!!!!
Now not even their language karta hai Paswan speak!!!!
In Punjab the 'Badal versus Amrinder' war Badal has won!!!
In Bathinda Badals 'Noo' has thrashed Amrinder's son!!!
But in the rest of Punjab Congress seems to be on the rise!!!!
And very cleverly Sukhbir has positioned Bathinda as the main prize!!!
A gung-ho Jaitley has been replaced by a Jaitley who is cautious!!!!
In fact some would say overcautious!!
If BJP does well in Assam a Mittal aka 'tent wallah' will be a thorn for Jaitley 'vakeel'!!!
They say let down by the party Jaitley karr raha hai feel!!!
Mittal has a survey that has mapped the entire Nation and then his fund raising prowess!
Jaitley feels Mittal is a real mess!!!
Confucius says…... in such matters negative and positive repel!!!!
Only negative and negative tend to gel!!!Flash.....On supporting Congress led Government Commies are having a rethink!!!
You can say Commies are ready to blink!!!

The need of PPS/Sr.PPS/PSO in GOI

PPS/Sr. PPS or PSO do not take dictation/typing except telephones. I have seen some of this class - they sometimes take dictation from bosses and then do pass on the dictation to poor steno/PA for typing!!! I would also like to update all readers that the post of PSO [Director equivalent] has already been sanctioned by DOPT. It is done on the recommendation of 6th CPC. It is either to please a particular cadre or to let CSS and CSSS continue their ongoing fight; as a result of which both CSS and CSSS suffer and others take the benefit. This is just a mockery of the GOI system. My view is that all the PPS/Sr. PPS and PSOs posts be converted to PA and PS. After PS they should be merged with the general cadre [Under Secretary]. This again is the recommendation of 6th CPC. I wish DOPT apply their mind and common sense while formulating such policies and not leave such matter to Cabinet Committee of Ministers (politicians) who have no sense of administrative set up. These politicians have already done disastrous harm to the country - May some good sense prevails on the voters and they do vote to a government which understands its responsibility to the nation!

NHAI is second name of Irregularities

In NHAI the extensions and appointment at senior positions of GM and above are normally made in concurrence of Department of Road Transport & Highways. Why this department is silent on NHAI's irregularities? What its CVO is doing? Why Ministry of Finance and CVC are moot spectators? Why same officer is allowed to continue on deputation in NHAI for more than 7 to 9 years when rule is for 5 years? When CVC and Dop&t debars such appointment, extensions and deputations, why no action? Who are the beneficiaries at Public money ( every citizen of country is paying one rupee cess for road building but no work of NHAI completed in 2008).

Tail-Piece
It's another morning..

... Again I have to go to office.

Ohh, this is me. I shouted having a glance on my snap in today's newspaper.
But what the hell it is doing in the death column??

Strange.

One sec... Let me think, last night when I was going to bed I had a severe
pain in my chest, but I don't remember anything after that, I think I had a
sound sleep.

Its morning now,
ohh... It's already 10:00 AM, where is my coffee?
I will be late for office and my boss will get a chance to irritate me.

Where is everyone.??? I screamed.

"I think there is a crowed outside my room, let me check." I said to
myself..

So many people... Not all of them crying.
But why some of them crying.

What is this??? I m laying there on the floor.

"I am here" . I shouted!!! No one listen.
"Look I am not dead" . I screamed once again!!! No one is
interested in me.
They all were looking me on the bed.

I went back to my bed room.

"Am I dead??" I asked myself.

Where is my wife, my children, my mom-Dad, my friends?

I found them in the next room, all of them were crying. still trying to
console each other.

My wife was crying. she was really looking sad.
My little kid was not sure what happened, but he was crying just coz his
mom was sad.

How can I go without saying my kid that I really love him, I really do
care of him. ??
How can I go without saying my wife that she is really most beautiful and
most caring wife in this world..??
How can I go without saying my parents that I m . just because of u ??
How can I go without telling my friends that without them perhaps I have
done most of the wrong things in my life. thanks for being there always
when I need them. and sorry for not being there when they really need me..

I can see a person standing in the corner and trying to hide his tears.
Ohh. he was once my best friend, but a small misunderstanding made us part,
and we both have strong enough ego to keep us disconnect.

I went there..
And offered him my hand, "Dear friend. I just want to say
sorry for everything, we r still best friend, please forgive me."

No response from other side, what the hell?? He is still preserving his
ego, I am saying sorry. even then!!!
I really don't care for such people.

But one sec.. it seems he is not able to see me!!!! He did not see my
extended hand.
My goodness. Am I really dead???

I just sat down near ME; I was also feeling like crying.

"Ohh almighty!!!! Please
Just give me few more days."
I just wasn't to make my wife, my parents; my friends realize that how much
I love them.

My wife entered in the room, she looks beautiful.
"You are beautiful" I shouted.
She didn't hear my words, in fact she never heard these words coz I never
said this to her.

"God !!!!" I screamed. a little more time plzzzzzzzzzzzzzz..
I cried.

One more chance please. to hug my child, to make my mom smile just once, to
feel my dad proud on me at least for a moment, to say sorry to my friends
for everything I have not given to them, and thanks for still being in my
life..

Then I looked up and cried!!!!

I shouted..

"God!!!! One more chance please!!!!"

"You shouted in your sleep," said my wife as she gently woke me up. "Did
you have a nightmare?"

I was sleeping..
Ohh
that was just a dream..

My wife was there. she can hear me.This is the happiest moment of my life.
I hugged her and whispered.. "You are the most beautiful and caring wife in
this universe.. I really love you dear"

I can't understand the reason of the smile on her face with some tears in
her eyes, still I m happy..

"Thank you God for
this second? chance."

So, Now it's not late.. Forget Ur Egos, Past. and Xpress Ur love to others.
Be friendly. Keep smiling. for ever...

Dear Friends,
Keep your ego aside and express your love, care, appreciation, friendship, because you
won't get a second chance always
If you respond, i would know you read & liked it
