Aaj Ki Aawaz
Now in the race to CWG finishing line twenty times the money is being spent,
It’ll be said ‘ by a few hundred crores up the oft CWG revised budget went’!

Workmanship is shoddy and it’ll be a miracle if things hold up!!
And please do remember actually for preparation time is already up!!

Facilities should have been ready and it was showcase time now!!!
Time to generate revenue and not ‘more money karro plough’!!

Congressman Kalmadi has made India’s reputation take a dip!!
And mind you what is being revealed is just ‘iceberg’s tip’!!!

Such a sporting event is undertaken to make a Nation's prestige rise!!!
In India’s case sadly the opposite has taken place…. downsize!!

And what was most appalling!!
That in the Lok Sabha ‘sack Kalmadi calls’ Congress was seen stalling!!

On Kalmadi BJP too was soft …. must be because of a Tentwallah!!!
That BJP went soft on Kalmaadi Gameswallah!!

Tentwallah’s nephew got orders from CWG in bulk!!!!
So BJP is scared if it demands action on Kalmadi Tentwaalah will go into a sulk!

Tentwallah is a Mahajan crony and has his ‘plus points’!!!!
Why do you think people feel BJP disappoints?????
BJP boasts of being a principled and disciplined Party!!
When it comes to corruption its face like Congress is equally ‘warty’!!

The difference is Congress when it comes to corruption has tried and tested ways!!
Whereas for its inexperience in this department BJP pays!!

Give BJP another five years of power in Dilli and BJP too will get the know-how!
BJP too will get the expertise of ‘how to khao and pachao’ (eat and digest)!!

Funnily Farrouk says after the shoe throwing Omar is now in a select club!!!
Hope he realizes what his Muslim brethren will feel when with Bush Omar’s name they club!

In Bush’s case he ducked the shoe and in Omar’s case it missed Omar!!!!
I’m sure the cry in the Valley was ‘ abhe aim le karr agli baar maar’!!

For a lot whose net worth has gone up many fold in the last five years!!!
Isn’t it funny when they say ‘inflation brings them too to tears’!!

Most of our MPs are affluent and still they want a hike in pay!!
A rise in their pay India does flay!!

Salaries are performance linked!!!
To serve the Nation an oath MPs have taken and then inked!!

Confucius says….In the eyes of the Public MP's image mein there has been a steep fall!
And if a free and fair recall is done 90% of MPs would face recall!!

An extraordinary piece on Pakistan

The author, Satyabrata Pal, was Indian Ambassador to Pakistan at the time he wrote this article in the summer of 2009, when India did not want to resume any sort of structured dialogue with Pakistan, until it got satisfaction on terrorism.
Ambassador T P Sreenivasan forwarded it recently describing it as "an extraordinary piece on Pakistan - exceptional in perception as well as in language."
Unlike most writers on Pakistan, Ambassador Satyabrata Pal has offered not only a credible diagnosis of the problem of Pakistan, but also proposes clear-cut recommendations for a tenable Indian policy toward Pakistan.

President Award

In respect of promotion of steno 'D' this award should be given to DOPT. A 1983 Steno D is being promoted as Steno C according to seniority quote list 2007)i.e. after 24 years; whereas a UDC of 1993 has already become Assistant from SQ 2003. Apart from this, PS in this line are quickly promoted as PPS/Sr.PPS/PSO and their posts are increasing. But a steno D even after 24 years with lesser GP attend to higher officers as an addition to PPS./Sr.PPS/PSO who simply not only rub the chairs as taking dictation is beyond their capacity. Is there anybody in DOPT to consider Steno D pathetic state. In case, if there is none, then steno D designation may be replaced with some animals name. Because, recently, even the Rs.7450 fixation pay(i.e.18,460) has been deprived to them though being adhoc Steno C, they have been given Rs.4600 GP and thus they are adhoc, others who have joined recently have got the benefit of Rs.18460/-. Kudos to DOPT. I feel that DOPY should increase the no of vacancies of PPS/Sr.PPS/PSO and under their rotation policy; all the present PS/Sr.PPS/ should be rotated for the above posts for enjoyment; but Steno D will dance to the work.

Go for specialised services

Can you say in how many Developed countries, the system of IAS (the country's administrative service system) prevails. The Britishers started it to rule the mass not to serve the mass. How many really feel the S in IAS stands for service. Bihar since long has been sending maximum number of IAS to the country but the state is poorest in India. Why? If we need to see a developed India we have to go for specialised services only.

India needs to develop a violence Gauge!

With so much of violence all over the country, India needs an instrument to gauge it. We invoke mahatma Gandhi, especially on Independence Day, Gandhi Jayanti & republic Day and talk of the virtues of non-violence. Are we serious? Do we, as individuals really believe in non-violence or it is just another exercise in dissimulation? The country wide atmosphere of violence is the direct product of failure of Rule Of Law. The ease with which police resorts to shooting the agitating masses does not vouch for a vibrant democracy. With the Federation or Union becoming loose and the federating units spinning out of constitutional control, violence presages doom of a healthy democracy in India sooner than wished by hostile forces. With autocracy of the local satraps, democracy has been reduced to a mockery in the hinterland. Incidents like the shooting of the farmers agitating for better compensation for their land, point towards bad economics. Agriculture lends stability to the Indian economy and also the farmers. It is so because it is a sustained source of regular incomes for the family. There is no retirement in farming. It is an assured rural employment guarantee scheme for more than 60% Indians. It never causes economic meltdown. Even with humble incomes, farmers the world over are happier than fixed wage job people. They contribute to preserving a clean & healthy environment. They also lend stability to society by practicing social values and bonds. When the state decides, only in public interest, to alienate them from their only asset i.e. land for ever, they are entitled to demand satisfactory price for it. Instead of allowing them to get paid adequately, if the state fires bullets at them, it is proof of bad economics, worse political vision and worst lawful order. Hiding behind "politics" or other lame excuse only enhances the hostile arrogance towards the people. Another unpleasant fall out of such attitude is that it provokes people's violence. When the people turn violent, no power on earth can stop it. It has failed at global scale in more than one case and it has certainly failed in India under Mahatma Gandhi's Leadership! Abjure state violence and re-establish people's faith in the virtues of non-violence.
