It will be sad day for SEBI

It will be a sad day for regulation. The country needs a tough fair regulator in capital markets. Very few have the knowledge and attitude to look after investor interests. MMS ACT should be decisive and given the extension. Let us not have a nincompoop commercial banker with PR skills ruin SEBI.

Russia writes death certificate of Marxism !

Russia has decided not to set up the nuclear plant at Haripur in West Bengal! The plant was reported to be for two 1000 MW power plants initially,, with a potential for 6 reactor units. Even though communism died its natural death in the century of its birth, its last vestiges remained in India, specifically in West Bengal & Kerala. Something our progressive alliances celebrated from time to time, calling them their "natural allies". Generations of Youth were mislead by marxist ideology propounded by Indian communists, ending in their last avtar as the Maoists/Naxals/PWG/PCPA etc., viewed in the critique penned by a veteran like Somnath Chatterji in his autobiography. These differences were kept under wraps without ever being made public. Words like revolution and progressive delude the youth even now. The bitter truth is that in India (WB/Kerala included) obscurantism is progressivism and corruption is transparently visible to every one! Communism/Marxism is laissez faire in social, political, economic & moral life. Battalions of hungry unemployed youth numbering a few crores is a fertile recruitment ground for Marxists as well as the Jihadis. But the world has no faith in the faith of the faithful Communists/Marxists as certified by Russia by withdrawing from the Haripur facility completely! Will our comrades still claim to be Communists, cast in the mould of either Basu or Karat or some other icon?

Now decide parameters also

Now that the elected representatives are going to get a hike in their salary/allowances, some special rule should also be made that the elected representatives spend one day every fortnight looking into the problems of their constituency and hold junta durbars to listen to the problems of the citizens.  Further, the Government of India has brought in the system of the Performance Management of Departments.  In this they have included various mandatory parameters.  Amongst the mandatory parameters the subject of sending timely & appropriate reply (in % age terms) to the MPs, MLAs and VIPs should be included.  The government employees should not get offended by this and realize that the Parliament is supreme.  The mandatory sending of reply to VIPs to a great extent leads to the resolution of the problems of the citizens.

It must be a joke

MHA seems to be trashing the ambitious policy of Ms Sonia Gandhi for Disaster Management. The members have the status of Union State Ministers. So now they will apply to a joint secretary of MHA including the vice chairman who is retd Army Chief ! Wow God save this country.

Seeking Sonia's help for Going Abroad

It is really ridiculous to read in these columns that once PM has, logically, refused 10 Ministers to visit abroad during the ongoing session of Parliament, it seems to be further astonishing to approach Madam Sonia Gandhi and seeking her intervention. This tantamounts to flouting (a) defying PM's order (b) embarrassing Madam Sonia Gandhi or (c) exploiting Sonia's position as Chief of the Party. This type of approaches by the sitting MP will, certainly, breed the rift between PM and Sonia and in Congress at large. The fact remains, there have been all-round flood situation within the country, and even abroad in many countries, and the time is to think over the success of the Commonwealth Games where eyes of the World leaders are striking.  Respect the Chair, perhaps, lacking in the Ministers, who may be thinking them superior to PM even may be politically, or giving a point to opposition to pin point the rift in the ruling party in majority. In my views Sonia Gandhi must teach these 10 Ministers a lesson to behave as a learned politicians.

Is India still in British Commonwealth ?

The Commonwealth Games are being held in Delhi because India is still in the British Commonwealth. Why is India still in the British Commonwealth, which is a polite name for the British Empire headed by the British Head of State? India should immediately quit this ghost of the British Empire which only feeds the post colonial delusions of the British. Look at the Irish Republic! It does not belong to the British Commonwealth because it fought the British like a man and won its independence ,unlike India, which begged the British for Dominion status in 1947. Gandhi was suitably attired like a starving beggar begging the British for freedom. Nehru was only too keen on retaining Mountbatten as Governor-General of a partitioned India as he was sleeping with his wife, Edwina. Later Nehru hung on in the British Commonwealth even though India had become a sovereign Republic  in 1951 because it gave him the opportunity of meeting his mistress, Edwina every year at the Commonwealth PMs meet in London. Mountbatten did not mind at all as he was a homosexual and a paedophile. It was the IRA which assassinated Mountbatten by using an Irish  boy as a sexual bait. India could learn a lesson or two from the Irish in fighting the British. Consider this - the scandals about the corruption in the CWG started from Britain and the probe by the British Inland and Customs Service. The Anglo-phile electronic media  of India slavishly picked it up and added to the confusion. The Anglo-Saxon countries of the British Commonwealth are now boasting that non-white countries are incapable of hosting such Games. And that it is the White Mans Burden after all, and not Kalmadis Burden!
