Aaj Ki Aawaz
Of course Kalmadi will be ready for a probe!!!
Anything at this time to get off himself the Medias strobe!!
As these are the Commonwealth Games Soctland Yard should be involved!!!
And rest assured the case will be solved!!!
No I do not doubt the investigative prowess of our Indian Agencies!!
But then these Agencies are under pressure due to Political exigencies!!
Had these pressures not been there!!!
Faster than Scotland Yard cases our local Agencies would threadbare!!
And now Kalmadi has millions made form CWG under belt!!!
And here in India with moolah and power matters can be easily dealt!!
He can afford the best legal minds!!!
In so many political cases legal wizardry one finds!!
After all here law is how one interprets it!!!
And in making suitable interpretations here our legal wizards do their
bit!!
When it comes to law Lawyers tend to interpret the law by between
the lines reading!!!
Just see what in Manus case Jethu was pleading!!
Jethu by his between the line reading tried to get Manu off the hook!!!
And he still feels that Manus one month parole was by the book!!
There must be millions of Indians who would be willing to give CWG their
umbrellas on rent!
One offer on the Forum on Whispers has already been sent!!
M.S Gill who until recently was oblivious about the Games has sprung
into action!
Says ' when nothing is ready what can I inspect and take action'???
Gill as Khle Mantri is a flop show!!!!
Till about a few months back he behaved as if nothing about CWG he did
know!!
Pranab Da has shown that when it comes to economics he's a
novice or ignorant or both!
He said 'Inflation is an outfall of growth'!!
When parameters like growth, inflation, production etc. are politically
calculated!!!
Then a bubble of a kind is created!!!
If the correct figures were available!!!
Our economy would not be so unstable!!!
What was required now was ebbing of the stimuli!!
But rather than doing this on stats and predictions Government chose
to lie!!
Confucius says..... when so much money is available at such low rates!!!
Inflation is what it creates!!

Basic facts...
Petrol Price per liter in our neighbors and other countries
Pakistan = 26 Rs
Bangladesh = 22 Rs
Cuba = 19 Rs
Nepal = 34 Rs
Burma = 30 Rs
Afghanistan = 36 Rs
Qatar = 30 Rs
Chine = 23 Rs
USA = 2$ a gallon = 30 Rs/liter approx
In all these countries, basic cost of petrol is 15-17 Rs and taxation
comes to another 15 Rs or so i.e. price doubles because of tax.
India=53Rs
Basic cost of petrol =16.50 Rs
Central tax = 11.80
Central Excise duty 9.75
State tax=8
Vat 4
Total 50.50, now made 53
India is the only country which tripples the cost of petrol because
of tax
India collects the majority of central tax and Central excise from
oil only
(Actually our cost of oil is even less because ONGC produces 1/3rd
of our oil for 20Rs per barrel but sells at 70Rs a barrel to govt, which
pockets the royalties.)
HPCL profit 574 Cr
IOC 5556 Cr
BPCL 5015 Cr
Centre collects corporate tax also from these companies.
Why does our Indian govt collect so much tax from a raw material?
Because the finance ministry is lazy and corrupt and finds it difficult
to collect from end products - because then those babus will have to
actually work.
So much easier to apply a strangle hold on oil companies and extract
the money (like a ransom) even before it has been put to productive
use in the economy.
Cost to economy because of excessive taxation of oil sector is estimated
at 3% of GDP.

Take suo motto action
The CBI must take suo motto action against scores of officers of CWG
Organising Committee without waiting for a green signal. The Court must
step in as the GOI is scared of taking action against Kalmadi for fear
of being exposed. The CBI must prove its independence.

Don't demoralise Engineers
I agree with SD. In all projects the time wasted in getting various
clearances is more than double the time left for execution of works.
Imagine, just disposing of files consumes more time than building actual
structures.

"Khuda Hafiz to Indo-Pak civilian talks"
As a former diplomat who had a short stint in Pakistan, I think A K
Saxena's suggestion of replacing Indo-Pak civilian talks by talks between
the Army Chiefs of two countries,is a well thought-out advice. I would
like this to be followed during my life time. I am 80+ year old retired
IFS officer.

Stop political interference in postings
I refer to the letter from Sri Adi Anilraj. The problem with CRPF or
any other central forces is the method of selection of its top brass.
While excellent officers rot in inconsequential posts those with political
support garner all such posts. A DGP of a south Indian state who wont
even stand straight in front of his political masters is heading one
of the central forces now.

Why same gotra marriage now banned in law ?
The GoI is in the process of drafting law for severe punishment to
perpetrators of honour killings. Thats okay. But simultaneously
why the government is not amending Hindu marriage act and special marriage
act to ban marriages in same gotra. It is scientific fact that marriage
in same lineage is bad and causes many complication. Why the govt. is
not ready to listen to justified demands of Hindus where as it heeds
to even smallest wishes of other communities.
