Aaj Ki Aawaz

Pawar says ‘though I was overburdened I did my job well’!!!
Fact is he’s given the Nation and its citizens hell!!!

He’s single handedly made India on the food front insecure!!
And  he’s made ‘black marketers, hoarders, scamsters and profiteers abs secure’!!

In fact he’s a hero for this lot!!
And then its rumored that form them a ‘lot of material love he’s got’!!!

And such a man cannot afford to have shame!!
Also he has the art to deflect blame!!

If pig’s could fly then my wish would be,
That from his Ministerial responsibilities Mohna sets Pawar free!!

Many say apart from numerical compulsions Congress has got its share!!
So taking both into consideration Congress will not/does not dare!!

RBI has hiked repo and reverse repo rate…. too little and too late!!
But we know why RBI chose to wait!!

UPA did not want to reverse the stimuli!!
So that is why on inflation coming down Mohna had to lie!!

Because with such raging inflation money needed to be sucked out!!
Economist after Economist on this did shout!!

And the PM who is an Economist of repute chose to fib on inflation!!
Net result……Indian Rupee’s deflation!!

Today for an Indian the Rupee is worth much less!!!
And UPA is responsible for this mess!!

Another blatant fib of Mohna is that CBI is independent!!
Whereas truth is orders from Government to CBI are verbally sent!!

Even NDA did misuse CBI!!
Its wrong to say Congress Bureau of Investigation is the actual meaning of CBI!!

Some say CBI has been raped by every Government!!
But fact is CBI’s like a girl who to meet a boy herself she went!!

Its ‘married every Sakraar’ and behaved like an obedient biwi!!!
‘Once the hubby loses power this wifey automatically does a leavy leavy’!!

Confucius says…. Mohna knows to say CBI is independent is a lie!!!
It is just lip service to his Party as this he himself does not buy!!!!

Police can also acquire expertise in jungle warfare

Expertise by army personal in jungle warfare has not been acquired by birth. Police can also acquire it by hard training and leadership from the front.

CSS vs other services

The CSS controls the Ministries & does not allow any other service peoples to get promotion. Only two glaring example given. Post of director printing fallen vacant in urban development ministry and it belonging to technical cadre but CSS not allowing technical man to take over and post is held by CSS man who is enjoying facilities of post but taking no responsibility & not taking decisions in file but file pushing time pass, as taking plea he is not technical. Why CSS man holding charge of technical post ? CSS already have so many post so should allow other persons of other service to hold their legitimate post. If CSS allow other service men to be promoted & work in their own promotion post then no one is having problem. But truth is CSS usurping post of other technical cadre. Therefore resentment comes in others. Another example post of secretary CARA in Woman & Child development ministry kept vacant deliberately on plea no suitable candidate available & CSS man hold charge for three long years in 2005-06. This means CSS man hold charge for one full tenure enjoying vehicle, separate office etc. There are numerous example of CSS peoples working against GCS posts & limiting/stalling promotion & career development prospects of other service man. If only CSS in headquarters kept on high motivation by politicians & IAS & given more promotions because they afraid to face this cadre who know their hanky panky & if services in field kept away from secretariat post so that dealings are kept limited within this gang of Neta, IAS & CSS then it is very bad for transparency. It is a conspiracy to keep other services out so that these three can monopolise ministries. I pray to K M Chandrashekhar, to intervene on behalf of other service officers. the present Cabinet secretary facilitated in taking land mark decision of sending on compulsory retirement three IAS Officers for non performance which was unheard of in past. Chandrashekhar is sympathetic to Police, Army and technical services and is known to take middle path & does not side with even IAS if they are found to be corrupt. Therefore it is prayed in all humility to him to give fair deal to other services also & motivation of other services is equally if not more important. technical services are executing services & their morale needs to be kept higher CSS is only a monitoring service of the working & result of performance of executing service & cannot be allowed to take credit for positive results if technical & executing service does well but pass on responsibility & punishment if executing service do not do well. Do justice to other services.

Commonwealth Games

I have commented earlier too and I repeat, Delhi is not prepared at all to host the 2010 Commonwealth Games and if at all it happens, it would not prove a good host. Not only the Olympic Committee of India, the Governments both at the Centre and the State (Delhi Govt.) are responsible for the whole mess, if not everything preplanned. I am of the view that the Commonwealth Organising Committee should immediately reject Delhi as a host not only because it is not ready, but also to send a message to the future hosts that those not well-prepared, do not deserve to organise or even to send their claims for organising such big events. I don’t know how the PM, rising face of modern India and youth icon Rahul Gandhi, Sports Minster and officials and the whole of the Delhi Government are going to face the citizens of India and the sportspersons of the Commonwealth countries in both the situations – if the games are not held in Delhi or in case held, Delhi does not turn out to be a good host (which is well expected, considering the last minute preparations being made). I hope in such a situation these respected citizens do not shift blames and make fun of “Aam Aadmi”. I also hope that those responsible know fully well that hosting games of such nature concerns national prestige (provided they consider it their concern!).

Getting jittery about Common Wealth Games

One reason why we have not been able to complete all the works so far is because of the plethora of agencies involved with the preparation. There are said to be about 40 committees and over 20 departments overseeing the works. There seems to be no co-ordination among such a large number of departments. That is why e.g when one levels the dividers the other comes and digs up the same for putting the electric poles. Then it is somebody else's job to remove the malba. It seems the overall control has not been vested in any person. In the absence of any Commander-in-chief it is free for all. This is in total contrast to Asiad 82 when the then LG of Delhi who was known to for his no-nonsense approach and was handpicked by the Prime Minister herself for Asiad preparation was in full command and the works went on smoothly. Times have changed. The governance is at its lowest and the self-aggrandisement at its peak. One-upmanship is the order of the day. Who is bothered about the country. It is me and mine alone. It is strange that the Chief minister should offer the incentive of one month salary to the engineers who finish their work by the end of the month. I wonder whether this can really be an incentive for some who would have made much more due to delay and escalating costs. Only the disincentive of severe punishment will work in their case as because of their inefficiency they are putting an average citizen to so much inconvenience because of all the dug up roads and also letting down the country.

Better, not to deal with Pak

I am with those two esteemed Gentemen who have demanded an enquiry into Pak Foreign Minister considering it fit and feasible to behave in a manner that he did. That reminded me of the notorious actions of the Chinese Red Guards beating up Indian diplomats under Mao's regime or Ms Nirupama Rao being called at midnight. Whatever be their personal merits, they represent India of one billion. The Pakistan establishment and nation need to pay for it. It is better to deal with GHQ men than such goons. At least they would conduct themselves properly.

Bureaucrat turned artists

The story about the new ‘Avtar’ of an IAS officer is interesting. But it’s just a continuation of the bureaucrat turned artists tradition .Ajay Pandey, special secretary in the Government of Chhattisgarh has already made a mark as the most talented and immensely gifted lyricist writer of Urdu, Hindi and English. In fact, he is being hailed as the new Avtar of legendary writers like Sahir and Faiz for the sheer depth and quality of his writings. Jagjit Singh, Chandan Das, Shishir and all top singers are singing his ghazals and songs. His album once more has already been released by T series last year. He is writing for some top directors in Bollywood now. He has proved his versatile traits by making the cheapest communication models in the field of HIV/AIDS also which have revolutionised the way HIV/AIDS sector was spreading preventive communication.
Congrats to Rao for joining this illustrious list of bureaucrat turned artists

“India’s humiliation in Pakistan ?”

India refuses to learn from its past mistakes. At least, so it seems! The timing of Home Secretary's statements on Headley on the eve of Foreign Minister’s visit to Pakistan seemed to be pre- planned. Was there a plot to show S M Krishna in poor light particularly after P Chidambaram’s success story in Pakistan?
The general perception is that S M Krishna is a figurehead in MEA as all critical foreign policy issues are handled in the PMO. FM is invariably not kept in the loop as he is not assertive enough. The browsers are free to verify the ground realities from any career diplomat in MEA . It is understood that S M Krishna never had any exposure to foreign policy, diplomacy and international relations in the past. His easy amenability was his only asset for appointment as FM.
India suffered in its self esteem at Islamabad. FM’s studied silence during the Indo-Pak joint press conference confirmed this impression as much as it betrayed the inept handling. He was expected to give a diplomatic blow to Quereshi on Pakistan’s soil itself instead of reacting on Indian soil. But, he seemed to be in a state of shock at Quereshi's unprovoked outburst. The latest revelations about US aid to Pakistan, being mis-used by the latter for funding the Talibans against its benefactor ( Read as American soldiers) have taken the wind out of Pakistan’s sails.
The media report of PM “slamming” the FM about his remarks on Home Secretary’s untimely statement re-in forces the impression that India’s foreign policy matters fall in the domain of PMO rather than the MEA. Was this public reprimand of FM by the PM justified on the ground that “G K Pillai is one of the finest civil servants”? How could S M Krishna be made the scapegoat? Why is the PM so over-dependent on his bureaucrats? Perhaps, “too many cooks spoiled the broth” ! Meanwhile, MEA’s imbroglio continues to puzzle the aam aadmi.
