SAIL posts Q1 profit after tax (PAT) of Rs. 1177 crore
Notwithstanding sluggish market conditions, Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) has recorded a sales turnover of Rs. 9,931 crore during April-June (Q1) of the current financial year, showing an increase of nearly 2% over the corresponding period last year (CPLY). SAIL registered profit before tax (PBT) of Rs. 1,749 crore and profit after tax (PAT) of Rs. 1,177 crore, which were respectively 13% and 11.5% lower than CPLY. The company’s profitability was affected by different factors, including sharp input cost escalations and lower volume of sales. The unaudited financial results of SAIL for Q1 were taken on record here today by the company’s Board of Directors. In Q1, SAIL’s cost on employees increased due to additional provision of Rs. 299 crore towards employee-related benefits, compared to net reversal of Rs. 199 crore in CPLY towards provision for revision of salaries & wages. In addition, the adverse impact of increase in prices of inputs such as coal, ferro-alloys, nickel, etc., during Q1 amounted to Rs. 556 crore (Rs. 368 crore on account of imported coking coal alone). These factors were, however, partially neutralised by better product-mix, higher production of special/value-added steel items and savings achieved through management initiatives. SAIL plants produced best-ever 1.18 million tonnes (MT) of special/value-added products during Q1, registering a growth of 3% over CPLY.

Aaj Ki Aawaz

Inflation has got Indians by the collar!!
But all our Netas can do is at each other holler!!

Congress is desperate that on this issue there should not be voting!!
Whereas BJP feels that by raising this issue it will again start floating!!

In all this Pawar is laughing to the bank!!!
Without a doubt because of him India’s food security sank!!

And if you think Pawar has stopped his hay making you are mistaken!!
Not even a breather he’s taken!!

I do not want the Delhi CWG to fail!!!
But I know games will not be a smooth sail!!

Mani says Games will fail cent percent!!!
A bouquet of cacti to him Kalmadi has sent!!

Kalmadi attached a card to the cacti saying ‘ Mani is not a patriot’!!
Of course in his shudh Angrezi Mani has responded ‘ what rot’!!

Fact is the work undertaken is shoddy and will soon come apart!!
Some has even come apart even before the Games ka start!!

Karat should be given the Bharat Ratna for making Communism fall!!!
And by the looks of it Communism in India could be in its ‘death throes’ by next fall!!

Karat needs to be commended for what he’s done!!
A huge battle for India he’s won!!

Because Commies are for India a pain in the neck or galaa!!
On anything that is progressive for India they create a hulla!!

Their objective is India should never come close to Cheen!!!
Look into History and amply this is seen!!

Laloo of course will take offence to Ghadkari’s CBI remark!!
And the reason is very stark!!

CBI on the orders of the Sarkaar in power has got Laloo off the hook!!
The law CBI was able to rook!!

Confucius says…. CBI goes after Shah but lets Tytler off the hook!!
And for both cases we know from whom orders CBI took!!

Secular politicians have been ignoring bare fact
A fact that has been going around among sensible masses, but given a blind eye by the so called secular politicians in Kerala, has come out now with the revelation by Kerala CM that certain Muslim parties are trying to make their religion a majority in Kerala by fraudulent conversions, love jihad, maximizing child births etc with in the next twenty years. Mullahs in medieval Madrassa in the state allegedly propagate this. According to Government itself there are more than 800NGOs,some in the garb of human right groups, working in Kerala and legal inflow itself is more than 1800 Crores. And almost all of them are coming from Gulf itself. Vote bank politics do not allow both state and central Governments to look into this. This funds are also used for purchasing lands. Sources say that more than 80% of land transaction in Kerala in the last 5 years is done in favour of people of a particular religion. Meanwhile Congress, who even considers Muslim League(a left over of the pre-partition Muslim League) a secular party and inducted them into central ministry, is baying for the blood of the CM. Kerala soon is going to be threat not only to its neighbours ,but to the nation itself.

Should we really talk to Pakistan ?
Pakistan made a fuss over our Home Secretary just stating a fact that 26/11 was planned, guided and financed by ISI. What have they to say to the US military documents made public by website WikiLeaks which reveal that ISI has been paying Taliban and the Haqqani terrorist outfit to kill Indians working in Afganistan and to kidnap " doctors, officers engineers and labourers" working on the road projects. That the attack on Indian mission in July 2008 also was planned and helped by ISI. The polish intelligence agency had informed about it a week before the attack. In view of these revelations should we really talk to Pakistan. Is it not disgusting that we still allow them to be offensive and aggressive. They are being 'chor' and 'chatur' at the same time .Their intelligence outfit is responsible for killing so many of our nationals in Afganistan .Why can not we tell them that no meaningful dialogue is possible till they stop such activities. Pakistan is adept at playing this double game. This is what they are doing with their ally USA who is giving them $ one billion every year as aid to eliminate terrorists (read Taliban). They are using the same money to let Taliban kill US soldiers. USA is helpless since they are caught in a piquant situation in Afganistan. They are not winning the war nor can they get out. What makes us so helpless in continuing the dialogue with Pakistan inspite of their nefarious designs of getting Indians murdered in Afganistan. Is it on orders from their ally US? Are we so bereft of national pride as to do something at the bidding of a third country howsoever powerful what we should not do in our national interest and also as a mark of respect to our citizens whose lives have been so mercilessly sniffed out. The WikiLeaks documents reveal what we already suspected. We should feel out-raged by these acts of criminality on the part of one wing of Pakistan Establishment of which i am sure their foreign Minister Qureshi must not be ignorant.

An anti-national statement !
Notwithstanding the present state of unpreparedness for Commonwealth Games, every Indian wishes and prays that these should be a success, a great success. Only disgruntled and frustrated persons like Mani Shankar Aiyar would be unhappy if the Games are a success. His personal enmity with Kalmadi apart, it is an anti-national statement. Only a mad person will say this. Congress led Government which has sponsored these Games and is making great efforts at all levels to hold the Games should rein this person whom it has brought to Parliament through backdoor.
