CRPF Wives Welfare Association dawns
a new look
As a part of its rebranding exercise, the Central Reserve Police Force
Wives Welfare Association (CWWA) recently unveiled a new Logo
that enhances the image of the Association and reiterates its
commitment towards challenges thrown up at the families while the CRPF
officers and men carry on with their arduous responsibilities . The
new symbol will further poise CWWA to enhance its image as the welfare
harbinger of the Force. The fresh branding is another milestone towards
the future contributions of the Association with an eye to fulfill the
underlying CWWA brand promise. Now that CWWA has a new face and
is rebranded, the delivery on the welfare front with in CRPF will also
add new wings. This new symbol reflects and captures the strength and
stability, both emotional and practical, of the stake holders. The new
logo reinforces our core values, philosophy and commitments, says
CWWA President Ms Soni Srivastava who had also worked on the ITBP Wives
Welfare Association Logo during her stint as the President of the Association.

Why they are not dismissed immediately ?
As per a news item, the Railways conducted a total of 25,283
preventive checks between January and December last year, in which 215
gazetted and 6,650 non-gazetted officers were allegedly found to be
involved in corruption". Why they are not dismissed immediately?
Perhaps, it is next to impossible for CVC to prove.

State Civil service officers highly demotivated
If the country has to progress, its Government Machinery must be perfect
& well motivated. This can come only when the Government takes care
of its employees. As of today in all the States the main arm of Government
i.e. the State Civil service officers are highly demotivated due to
stagnation in one rank. The All India service officers get time bound
promotion and even a single day delay after the due date is called as
demotivating for the AIS Officers. There is lot of hue & cry and
even news papers carry reports that IAS or IPS officers are frustrated
because they have not got promotion after the lapse of one month after
their promotion is due.
There is no one to speak for the State Civil service officers as the
Corridors of power starts from AIS officers and end at the Ministers/CM.
A state civil service officer after completing 8 years of service is
eligible to get into AIS but due to the mismanagement of cadres the
situation is so pathetic that even after completing 25 years of service
they are still struggling to get into AIS. Since their entire career
progresses only after entry into AIS they have no other option but to
sit and wait. Their Colleagues in other services like
PWD, Irrigation etc. become HODs and these people are stuck at one rank
due to non entry into AIS. If the Govt. at Centre and in States are
serious about the welfare of country they must seriously look into the
grievances of State service officers

CWG-Gameplan
People like Mani Shanker Iyer, perhaps, don't know where to stop. They
fail to differentiate between right and wrong especially when they are
on criticising spree. It is rightly said that he is a disgruntled person.....extremely
frustrated..... In fact along with Kalmadi he too was responsible for
bringing CWG to India. These Games were decided to be held in India
in NDA regime with Vajpayee being at helm of affairs at that time. If
Congress is squarely responsible for all this mess, NDA partners can't
escape their responsibility. In fact, these Games were brought to India
in order to get a chance to earn, to exploit the situation...otherwise
who cares for sports or sports persons. All our political leaders, entire
bureaucracy wanted to cash in the situation. All are making hey. Now
it has been free for all. Loot to your hearts extent. Games Officials
are awarding contracts at hefty sums double, triple of original costs
and their political masters are getting their share from it. Worthy
Sonia ji, P.M. & entire government machinery is watching this game
going on quietly as if they are happening in Pakistan. Delhi CM is also
basking in new found glory. So what if stadiums are leaking, floors
are cracking, cycling track watered, incomplete roads!!!!! We must...
at least ....try to organise the Games... Who knows... they may be a
success... a huge success....and, God forbid, if not, She has already
availed three terms as CM and she knows that she is not going to get
forth one. Hence she is not a loser.... Who knows, she may be inducted
in Central Cabinet...After all such a ripe (widely experienced) person
can't be left out in the Sun. So, she will not be a loser. Govt. has
taken a calculated risk. Further, it has always been Congress policy
to eat and let others eat. Congress keeps all sections of society in
jolly mood in order to reap rich harvest in election times.
Pks
Iyer calls a spade a spade
Whatever be the reason( frustration or otherwise) but MS Iyer has right
said that there is mountains of corruption in organising the CWG event.
Everybody knows that Kalmadi is epitome of corruption in the sport field
and is now out to capture Hockey also.
Prafulla Mishra
Krishna's letter is an eye opener not only to all non-Keralites but
also to every patriotic Indian. Kerala had only one Muslim League prior
to partition and it was a branch of Jinna's Muslim League. After partition
only one or two leaders and few others(they are now trying to get back
to India courtesy Muslim League and Congress) went to their promised
land of Pakistan and others including the party continued here thanks
to Nehru's benevolence. Their pre-partition office remains the same.
They were branded as 'Secular' and taken into ruling fronts and presented
with vital departments both by communists and Congress during their
rules. The success of this communal party has given fillip to other
communal parties like Kerala Congress. At one time Congress was not
even prepared to give them the post of Speaker and now Sonia Gandhi
has inducted this communal party into Central Cabinet.
Rajgopal M
Iyer would have rejoiced !
If Pakistan has won a war against India, Mani Sankar Iyer would have
rejoiced with his same logic against CWG that there will not be another
war!!!!!

Naxalism in Chhattisgarh is not due to illegal mining
Its not correct to say that naxalism in Chhattisgarh is due to
illegal mining in Chhattisgarh. There has been no illegal mining in
Chhattisgarh. The mineral resources in the state are unexploited. Its
for the last 5 years than various industrialists from the country have
started making beeline for allotment of mines and putting up plants
to process minerals. These activities are at initial stage and production
would have taken at least 5 years to start. Now with naxalism on the
rise, the start of production from these allotted mines will now not
take place for a long time to come. So, since there in no exploitation
of mines, how can anybody allege that naxalism is due to mining.
Yes, one thing is correct is usurping of money allotted in governments
various schemes meant for upliftment of tribal. The money has never
reached to the intended beneficiaries over the last 50-60 years, due
to corruption at the level of Ministers and officers.
