Aaj Ki Aawaz

This CVC must go!!!

Despite the SC's observations he's saying no!!

CVC or the Watchdog cannot have taint!!

Not even wee bit or 'faint'!!!

This CVC's appointment is a black mark on Mohna's Report Card!

Cannot be erased though Mohna could try hard!!

Even if this CVC resigns the black spot will not go!!!

And Sonia is ultimately being held responsible as her line he does toe!!

In fact in the International Circles we are the laughing stock!!

A tainted CVC or Watchdog has put India in the dock!!

As it is CWG gave India the 'corruption rules' tag!!!

Will a tainted CVC on corruption waive the red or green flag???

Raja says ' 2G loss figure is' notional!!!

He says Media has got Indians too emotional!!!

Well he just has to work backwards and work out the figure!!!!!

From 'total under the table intake' the loss he can easily figure!!

When negotiations for 'intake' were done windfall must have been calculated!

Only excuse now Raja has is to say ' the windfall I miscalculated'!

Fact that Karuna is standing behind Raja means Raja's account with Karuna is clear or saaf!!!

Or Karuna nahi karta Raja ko maaf (would have gone after him)!!

Karuna too has quoted from his recent IT statement!!

For public consumption this was meant!!

Karuna thinks that we are that naïve that we will believe his IT declaration!!

Does he think India is gullible logonn (people) ki Nation????

Don't we know that Netas IT statements have only the 'iceberg ka tip'???

The entire orange is hidden and all that is shown is a pip!!

Like can you believe Sharad Pawar not owning a car?????

Even his cook must be having chaar (four)!!

He roams about in the swankiest cars but does not own even one!!!

Via a very crafty mode all this is done!!

The joke is in Lavasa Pawar must be owning three quarter of the resort town!

So maybe Jairam Ramesh is trying to bring Pawar down!!

If BJP wants to gain from Congress's loss!!!

Then first Ghadkari into the bin BJP needs to toss!!

And it also needs to made explicitly clear!!!

That Advani becoming the PM the minorities do not need to fear!!

Advani has retired!!!
Though many would say 'he was tacitly fired'!!

A Neta and Neeti would indeed be the right prescription!!

And if Neta is not possible atleast put out a 'general description'!!

Let the Public know what to expect from the next BJP Neta Number One!!!

Top on the list....... will not promote/favor his daughter or son!!!

Confucius says...... at present only Modi and Javdekar fullfill this stipulation!!!!!

Javdekar cannot become PM and Modi is still not fit to lead the Nation!

Early polls in Uttar Pradesh likely
If the insiders are to be believed, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Ms. Mayawati may go in for polls in 2011 instead of 2012. It suits her because the entire opposition does not seems to be in a position to face the electoral battle. They are more busy fighting within be it the BJP, the Congress or the Samajwadi Party.

Has the UT cadre lost its efficacy?
This question is doing rounds in the corridors of power because such officers from UT cadre have bene posted in different areas who hardly know languages of that region. So in present context will it not be more appropriate to have such All India Service (AIS) officers in Daman or Pondicherry who can interact with local population in their language. This is quite pertinent because in most of the cases AIS officers (despite being essential) hardly know local language of the region where they are posted. So can't the UT cadre be done away with by merging its officers in other cadres?

Plight of Traffic Police officials

From the day the new Police Commissioner (Mr. Gupta) has taken over in Delhi, Delhi Traffic Police is visible everywhere. Not only the persons are on duty, they appear to be doing their job actively. But while saying so, most of us should also notice that these traffic police officials on duty are not only on duty for quite longer hours but they are generally standing all the time, without shed or shelter. There is no provision for food or even water for them as all are not lucky to be stationed around market areas, for they cannot even leave their posts. Needless to say that most of vehicular pollutions are being consumed by these poor officials.

If the Police Commissioner has shown real interest to ensure smooth and safe road journey to Delhites, is not it our responsibility to care for these brave soldiers. If not the big corporate houses, the NGOs or kind hearted individuals need to come forward and offer each individual at least one water bottle a day, if not light snacks. It would not be difficult to ensure supply to individual policemen on duty, if the responsible corporate houses or NGOs take up district wise. I am sure, they would not only make these policemen more responsible towards the public but would also make them honest citizen.

Greedy light-fingered predators

It is amusing to see some comments on here by civil servants. Their self image seems to be of brave souls struggling against a dirty system to do their "honest days work". Possibly its true. But let me tell you that the public at large does not see them as such. Instead, through its million dealings with government offices, the public regards civil servants as greedy light-fingered predators, always out to make a quick buck at the expense of the taxpayer. It sees them as the enablers of crooked politicians, and roadblocks in the way of our honest elected representatives. The public sees you- as a defunct colonial legacy, still milking the country at large, as the British did decades ago. The IAS- a disgusting colonial vestige, used nowhere else in the World, always scheming to bend rules to get themselves advantages, and keeping the public down. The IPS- a brutal force of oppression, again loaned from the British empire, unaccountable to anyone, and above the law, seldom working to enforce it. And the rest? Opportunists, trying to "get what they can". Sorry, but thats how most people see things.

CVC should be above suspicion

Just as 'Caesar's wife should be above suspicion', the CVC should be above suspicion. After the observations of the Supreme Court it would not be correct for P.J. Thomas to continue as CVC, esp. if he is honest and upright. It is also not clear how he was promoted and empanelled as Secy. when an enquiry was pending against him. The rules provide for 'sealed cover' procedure in such cases.

Amazing !

Lot has been debated about the propriety or otherwise of appointment of P. J. Thomas as CVC. I would like to draw the attention of readers to DOP & T letter dated 29th Oct 2007 available at the link http://www.persmin.nic.in/WriteReadData/SV/104_33_2005-AVD.1.pdf.

It is amazing that in spite of the instructions contained in the letter, Thomas was appointed CVC.

Barkaha is a prattling child

Barkaha is only a TV anchor and a prattling child. I used to watch NDTV for the content not her presentation. Being nimble and developing contacts she has "mixed" with the politicos not keeping the line. News gathering does not mean corruption and trickery. Here she has done this for pecuniary consideration or in future such contacts would yield direct and indirect benefits of money or otherwise. I agree with N. Ram that upstart journos should be stopped and shown their palces. She called the people "lynch-mobs" I think Manu Joseph and Open mag are under reference and people of India.

Be after the well known corrupt officer Thomas as it India's shame to have him as CVC anymore.

Mention nomenclature of services correctly

Disseminating as it does the news mainly about civil services, one would expect that the nomenclature of the services is mentioned correctly on your site: IA&AS is "Indian Audit & Accounts Service", and not Indian Account Service.

Nothing immoral in bringing out truth

Long back there was case. A Havaldar use to move around with a thief tied in a rope for going to jail, thana and court. During this process the thief pickpocket the havaldar and took his small diary where the latter use to keep details of the money which he was earning illegally. The Havaldar was charged and the matter reached the Supreme Court. In the Supreme Court the lawyer of the Havaldar tried to plead that in the fist place the theif had committed a wrong and his client is not guilty of the charges. The Supreme Court said even if the method was immoral but it helped in establishing the wrong doing and hence there can be nothing wrong in the case.
