Aaj Ki Aawaz

Pawar has made India insecure on the food front and this is indeed very sinister!
India was secure on the food front prior to his becoming Agri and Food Minister!

In fact now many say his Ministries have emerged ‘the malai Ministries’!
And why there should be no mysteries!!

Pawar has done both his Ministries proud (sic) on the malai meter!!!!!
Defence Ministry is ahead only by a kilometre!!!

Previously Defence Ministry was ahead by 10 Kilometres and now it’s just ‘one’!!!!
When it comes to malai productivity very well under Pawar his Ministries have done!

Pawar played games via import and export and created huge shortfalls!!!
And he’s responsible because he took the calls!!!

Now his pals in NCP who are sugar barons like him are laughing to the bank!!
Even in his previous stint to heaven high his stint as Agri and Food Mantri stank!!!

And Mohna needs condemnation too as he said price rise would benefit The Kisan!!!
Had it been the case some price rise happily karta India sahaan!!

But fact is it’s the middleman/hoarder and retailer/hoarder who have made money!
In Pawar’s stint their profits graduating from bag to gunny!!!

Pawar says he’s not an astrologer who can predict when prices will fall!
Just see his audacity……Chori and seena jorri iss ko karte hai call!!

To tackle price gap between farm and market should be reduced!
Tackle hoarding as many traders into this becuase of profits are being seduced!!

Tackle the supply side and reduce the loss from farm to retail!!!
Commodity Exchanges need to be relooked at as speculation in necessities this trading does entail!

Beni Prasad Verma has let us in on the raaz that are embedded in Amar’s chest or chaati!!
But then he should have also mentioned that in all the secrets Amar was 60-40 ka saathi!

Verma says Mulayam is stricken with various vices and he makes Amar the facilitator!!!
Whereas those close to Mulayam say Amar was Mulayam’s vices ka creator!!

Its well know Amar used Mulayam’s vices to get a iron grip on Mulayam!!!
And by Mulayam’s reaction to Amar’s resignation and ramblings seems the grip is still kaayam!

I don’t think Mulayam  ‘got scared’ on account of the Amar’s Bhaand Mandali’s threat to resign!!
He took Amar’s statement ‘ I know a lot but all is buried in my chest’ as a ominous sign!!!

Rathod’s lied that he did not know about Ruchika’s expulsion!!!
In the past in a statement he said he knew of her expulsion….seems to truth this man has revulsion!

Now his wifey pleads he’s aged and a heart patient too….using every paintraa to get him bail!!!
Litmus test of CBI’s intention will be known if Rathod goes to jail!!!

Its right ….. the higher the Office the higher the transparency and accountability!
It would indeed be judicious if SC was ‘opened via RTI for info accessibility’!!

Confucius says……..SC should have done this on its own,
Justice can never be dispensed with secrecy surrounding it is something that is well known!!!

Flash….. Now Pawar says prices will come down in 10 days!!!
And if prices do not come down then via his Cabinet berth he pays!!!

And a slight dip hardly can be termed as ‘coming down’  and why has he changed track??
He had said he was not an astrologer to predict when prices will back (reverse)!!

Pawar ko Cabinet se nikaalo!!!
Neta with a track record of performing ko Pawar ke place mein daalo!!

WHETHER MEDIA TRIAL OF FORMER DGP SPS RATHORE IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN OTHER NATIONAL ISSUES ?
Media reports in the RS Rathore case highlighted an important national issue i.e. the misuse of power by the police in cases of crimes against women. The issue affects 50% of the population and needs to be publicly debated. Infact, if media had not highlighted the case Rathore would have continued to be a decorated officer. It is an anomaly that no action is taken against politicians and they continue to be CMs , Ministers and MPs after committing heinious crimes.
Suman Swarup

Yes it is my opinion in personal capacity that media highlight/trial was definitely important than other national issue to bring the culprit to the book in the case of high profile police officer Rathore. Even after a lot of hatred, police organisation is yet to change its image. Media intervenes only when judiciary as well as administration miserably fail in delivering justice to the common people. What is the sense of taking up national issue if the right and dignity of the common people can not be protected within their own homeland ; moreover by their own elected representative.
A K Mishra

Media Intervention is inevitable in this era of Transparency !!!
In my opinion, there is nothing called ‘Media trial’ as its reporting is based on oral evidences, which cannot stand the scrutiny in the Court of Law. The Media is mandated to inform the public . Surely, there are cases galore of Media hypes. The media tenders unconditional apologies and the Courts promptly acknowledges the same as admission of guilt. The matter ends there. Consider the case of Rathore. It came to limelight only after the petitioners (Girhotra and Prakash) went public through the Press. Since the reporting was based on direct interactions, how could the same be labeled as media hype? Let us not confuse ‘investigative journalism’ with the so-called ‘Media trial’. The Media does not and should not consider itself as the ‘Second Judiciary’. The court also cannot be expected to get influenced by the media hype. Its verdict is based on solid documentary (not oral)evidences. The public must understand the tremendous pressures under which the Editors are expected to function. The pressure groups could be: the public, the media barons and the advertisers who wish as much information as possible to be smuggled and kept in the public domain. Reverting to Rathore, imagine for a moment, could his alleged misdeeds come to light after seventeen years without Media intervention or Media trial-- call it what you will! Dr Suresh Mehrotra, Editor-in-chief, want us to focus on National issues rather than Ruchika’s murder. The infamous case of Aarushi Talwar murder, which still remains a riddle wrapped in enigma inside a mystery, has been re-opened ! These cases of moral turpitude also involve the national issues of like: Corruption, Ethics, Morality and Probity in public life. What other national issues has Dr Mehrotra in mind? Border management, the Chinese dragon swallowing India’s territory in J&K, shady land deals by the three Generals of India almost concurrently, the Power sector Scams, the bullet –proof jackets scam, the Quattrochhi’s disappearance and its quite burial !.These are being regularly reported by the Media along with the case of Rathore. So, let us stop blaming the Media particularly when our anti-corruption watch-dogs have started genuflecting before the political masters. To imagine the press refraining from media hype, is utopian. Our Media is pro-active!

Central Civil Service Cadres should not suffer
Just learnt from a report published in your website that Arvind Kumar ( IFS 1985 Sikkim) has been promoted as Additional PCCF and posted as Principal Resident Commr. in Delhi. With this, he becomes the FIRST officer of IFS 1985 batch in the country to be promoted to the HAG. My heartiest greetings for his promotion!
However, this leads me to flag the issue of stagnation prevailing in a majority of IFS cadres in the country, for which, the GOI, in her capacity of the Cadre Controlling authority, is sqarely responsible. Back in my State officers of 1977 batch are still working as CCFs. So what happens to the Fundamental Right to equality of opportunity guaranteed under Article 14? Then there is the question of All India Seniority. This is one drawback in the AIS Rules, due to which, junior officers in some cadres get promoted to higher scales much earlier and may end up getting higher salaries and even pension, regardless of seniority. Atleast, Central Civil Service Cadres should not suffer on this account.
This leads me to wonder as to what is happening to the implementation of grant of non functional scale to IPS / IFS officers when IAS officers two years their junior are promoted to a particular grade / grade pay in the State? Heard on the grapewine that proposal was sent across to the DOPT in the form of draft rules duly approved by the Minister many months back! Who is sitting on the file and why?

Future trading causing price rise
It seems now a days print media, electronic media and other means of communication has only single point agenda i.e. image building spree for Rahul. I am very sorry to note that your/our whispers is no exception. Do not attribute to anybody behind price rise or come to conclusion the rising prices a plot against Rahul. After all, it is because of market driven forces. The Government allowed trading in essential commodities long back and now you can trade in any commodity, except the prohibited one, on any future date, quote the price and quantity through Commodity Exchanges. Originally this mechanism is meant for benefiting farmers getting higher prices than minimum support prices. Now this futures option in commodities is traded speculatively irrespective of the option holder really wants the commodity or whether he readily holds the commodity.
This is only the reason for the price rise. You can cross-check the present position vis-a-vis before the period when no futures is allowed in commodities.

Honour The Brave Inspector Of TN Police
Whispersinthecorridors is a website devoted exclusively to public services. It would be most appropriate for it to pay our most respectful homage to the brave police inspector, who died in harness, while two ministers of the Tamil Nadu government watched him die, without doing anything to save his life! One was the minister of Health, accompanied by the Health Secretary and a posse of cars & security staff. Even the policemen on escort duty with the two ministers showed complete lack of humanity and professional efficiency. Are policemen not trained to react instantly on the spot at the scene of the crime and save the life of the victim? It is most inhuman to say that bombs were strewn around the injured inspector and so nobody went near him. Can the policeman do so if a minister is the victim in similar circumstances? We seem to have turned absolutely heartless! May be, the injured inspector was not put in the minister's car for fear of spoiling it's interiors!! Or was it because an ordinary police inspector is not "entitled" to the use of a car because of his low rank? Such inhuman response is the most unique first of it's kind anywhere in the world, but certainly in India and that too in a developed state like Tamil Nadu. The nation is angry when instances of misconduct of public servants come to notice. The nation is horrified, angry, disgusted at the inhuman conduct of the ministers, bureaucrats & policemen in escort duty at the scene of the crime.
The police inspector was a Bharat Ratna in the true sense of the word and must be so honoured by the head of the state, the Hon'ble president of India, by awarding him the Bharat Ratna this 26th January 2010!

No increase in retirement age recommended
Sixth Pay Commission has not recommended increase in the age of retirement. In para 6.1.5 of its Report, the Commission has recommended that the current age of superannuation should be maintained. Hence, if the Government decides to increase the age of superannuation, it will be against the recommendations of Sixth CPC. Ministry of Finance may also not support the proposal.
