Will Gautam Adani become next Dhirubhai Ambani ?
Will Gautam Adani , Chairman of the Adani Group, a leading trading and export company of India, prove to be next Dhirubhai Ambani of India ? It would not be a surprise given the manner in which he has made his business flourish in the past few years. Having started his career as a diamond sorter at Mahindra Bros, Mumbai, at the age of 20, he set up his own diamond brokerage outfit at Zaveri Bazaar after working there for two years. A year later, in 1981, his elder brother Mansukhbhai, bought a plastics unit in Ahmedabad and asked Gautam to run it. This marked the beginning of Adani's foray into global trading by beginning to import polyvinyl chloride (PVC), a key raw material for manufacturing plastics. After the economic liberalisation, the import duty on various goods was slashed and profits of Adani Exports, then his flagship company, grew immensely. Such has been his rise that on Nov 16, 2007, Forbes magazine announced that Adani was the 13th richest person in India with a personal wealth of US$6.7 billion, making him the first billionaire from the city of Ahmedabad.

Aaj Ki Aawaz

Pranab says come April and Sarkaar ko lagne waale hai disinvestment ke loose motion!
From April disinvestment chain will be set in motion!!

What worries is how the money will be used!!!
Because if it’s used unproductively then you can say disinvestment’s going to be abused!

If they are ‘selling family jewels to pay the house bills’ it’ll be counterproductive!!!
The money must go into areas where its usage is productive!!

Already our deficit is running out of control!!!
And in our economy it’s already playing a negative role!!

However in a socio-capitalist economy deficit is not a gaali or an abuse!!!
Akin to a dug out hole….. whether the mud to fill another hole or in something constructive kiya use!!

And also do remember reducing deficit has a direct impact on growth!!!
You cannot get both!!!

Also there is mindset….. like our PSU Oil Majors 'thinking like a Corporate'!!!
Public Sector Undertaking kaise apne aap ko Corporate karte hai rate???

They say this Budget is going to take India to new heights!!!
Hope it’s not a Socio Capitalist Nation setting on a Capitalist agenda its sights!!

In our economy first karro leaks plug or at least reduce leaks!!!
Of various kinds of leaks our economy literally reeks!!

After the leakage has been plugged or reduced then pour in disinvestment money!!
Pouring money into a vessel that is full of leaks sure looks and sounds funny!!

Mr. Yechury Communism is not the harbinger of change!!!
Your analogy of Communism sure does sound strange!!

Communism is the art of regression!!!
And of blatant oppression!!

Basu’s gone so it would not be right to point what he did to West Bengal !!!
All I’ll say Communism ne kiya WB ka burra haal!!

As a Commie Basu did not believe in ‘Upparwaala’ and so he gave his body for research!
No question of him given last rites as per Hindu or Muslim tenets or The Church!!

If I were Mulayam I’d now worry and always keep ‘looking at the back’!!!
Because from the back Amar karre ga attack!!

Amar may form a new Party…… choices galore!!!
Like Thakurs or Middlemen or of disgruntled Netas who’ve been ‘shown the door’!!

Mulayam says Amar’s fortes are parchaa (Media), charchaa (gift of the gab) and kharchaa (arranging funds)!!
But how come on ‘Amar's play time prowess’ Mulayam is not doing any charchaa!!

Rahul says he's an example of 'politics of the rishtedaari kind'!!!
Very forthright many karte hai Rahul ko find!!!

Now what he needs to do is get Netas who do not have relatives in power to the forefront!
And I think for such Netas already karr raha hai 'Rahul hunt'!!!

Rahul I am no longer going to address you as Baba as you've shed the tag!!!
Now no longer are you perceived holding your Mom's ungli and carrying your school bag!!!

EX NSA Naryanan's 'hacking story' I'm sure is a cover up job!!!
Seems some file from his Office someone has been able to rob!!

Otherwise while leaving NSA's Office why did he have to make this revelation!!!
There is an objective behind this 'hacking fire's' creation!!

Without a doubt Roddy put an engine in front of Chandigarh !!!
And if he’d got his way Chandigarh could have been business ka garh!!

With Rajiv Gandhi Technology Park !!
On Chandigarh ’s future he’s left his mark!!

From a City known for its green jhadis or plants and white daadis or white beards or City of retirees!
Jacob and then Roddy have given this City life ke new lease!!

Moral of his story…. You cannot make everyone happy!!!
But your name could be dragged into mud if you get Netas and Page 3 lot scrappy!!!!

Confucius says…… Good bye Roddy!!!
May you live a peaceful retired life in the land of pork vindaloo, siestas , Feni and Toddy!!!

Adds…. Welcome Shivraaj!!!!
Bachch ke rehna aur matt karna local MP , Soni aur Page 3 lot ko naraaj (sic)!!!

And..... You should keep this lot happy and forget about your duty as Guv or Administrator!!!
Even if to the interests of the State or UT and its people you are termed a traitor!

Bharat Kumar

Will Army Chief quit early ?

You mean to say the Present Army Chief will stoop so low? Will he have any place in the history? What an achievement!
Or is it another bouncer from friends in MoD?

A request to army top brass

I fervently appeal to all the top brass of the Indian Army to stop washing their dirty linen in public. For me a layman, from what I understand, it looks like both sides are trying to settle scores - the NOC problem of one and the wrong age reporting of the other. What the truth is will finally come out but for the sake of the morale of your junior officers and the jawans and the respect that the citizens have for such an esteemed institution like yours - please stop this bickering in public. It is very important to come out with the truth but please do it in a civil and dignified manner.

Retirement Age of HC Judges

Raising the retirement age of HC Judges to 65, while justified, needs to be accompanied by raising the retirement age of Members of various Tribunal too, to 67/68 years. Otherwise HC judges are not likely to offer themselves for membership thereof.
