Aaj Ki Aawaz
To the Women Quota Bill Laloo and Mulayam should be thankful!!
They’ve been able to get back some of their lost pull!!

Out of the 3 Idio…. sorry 3 Yadavs two are going to bargain!!!
For them politics is the ‘art to gain’!!

On this Bill seems Congress did not do its homework!!!!
They say had it done so to introduce the Bill at this juncture it would shirk!

Seems the female versions of MCPs Jholawaalis who surround Sonia egged her on!
A little bird tells me on this Bill there were apprehensions from her son!!

Laloo and Mulayam while withdrawing support left the door half open!
A caveat was made with which door they could reopen!!

The caveat was ….. we will do everything to keep secular flag up!!!!!
Post withdrawal of support expect a slip between the lip and the cup!!

Amar Singh has banged SP for not supporting the Women’s Bill!!
And to stress his stand he recited ‘Jack and Jill’!!

He said its Jack and Jill and not only Jack!!
And after Jack fell down and broke his crown Jill did not stay back!

With these pearls of wisdom Amar tried to prove his point!!
Aur apne aap ko Messiah of Women power iss Thakur ne kiya anoint!!

Maybe using Jack and Jill Amar will pen his thesis on sex equality!!
Though I would not be surprised if he writes Equality as Ekwality!!

There is a feeling the Women's Bill is not fair!!!
In it's attmept to be fair to the one's who are fair it is in more than on one count unfair!!

Isn't it unfair that with every election constituencies will be reserved and dereserved!
Isn't it unfair to a MP who with his heart and soul has served!!

In the lottery Constituencies that cry for women candidates would lose out!!!!
And in general will not serve the purpose is the doubt!!

A woman MP can stand from the same constituency even when it is de-reserved!!
But a Male MP cannot stand from the same constituency once its reserved!!

Like Leaders getting their wives nominated for tickets to keep the seat garam!!!
And the wife obediently doing a wive's dharam!!

And women MPs will be treated as 'backdoor entries'!!!!
Backdoor entrants do not get salutes from even the sentries!!

Yes without a doubt more 'elected' Women in the House will be good!!!
But the means will not achieve the end and this needs to be understood!!

I feel Congress needs to take a step back and think!!!!
Because on account of this Bill in Congress's armour I can see many a chink!!

Madam this Women's Bill has the potential to push Congress towards its Waterloo!
A piece of advice.... the best place to contemplate is while on the throne in the loo!!!

MPs who threw the torn bill at Speaker who tugged at Speaker's mike!!!
Should be for the rest of their term told to take a hike!!

Confucius says....Behaviour in the House made every Indian ashamed!!!
Democracy these MPs have have shamed!

Flash.... the Women's Quota Bill has been passed.... Sonia's got her way!!
But for this your guess is as good as mine as to the price Congress will pay!

Laloo and Mulayam are open to being wooed!!!!
Maybe today after striking a bargain with Congress just for show their MPs booed!

Or maybe Congress will woo them before the Finance Bill!!!
That's why a Congressi said we'll give them the choicest wine to swallow the Quota bitter pill!!

Story abhi baaki hai..... its not over by a long shot!!!
Though at present what Sonia wanted she's got!!

Disappointing report
Your report on IAS officers in MP cadre "Working to Rule" is a disappointing one. In the first place, if IAS officers have been suspended, it is the prerogative of the democratically elected executive to exercise control over civil servant, who is an employee of the state, and through the elected ministers, of the people.
In the second place, MP IAS has been in the news of late, for the standard of corruption scams its officers have been capable of. Surely they did deserve to be suspended, if so many crores are found in their homes! I hope MP IAS officers are not making the case that IAS officers are above the law, and should not face even a basic disciplinary action like suspension, even if they are taking the public and the taxpayer for a ride! Honest officers should protest this so called "Work to rule" move. It is tarnishing all their reputations.

It’s interesting
Interesting to know that IAS officers of MP consider following the rule books a form of protest !

Sachin deserves Bharat Ratna !
Bharat Ratna should be conferred on Sachin Tendulkar simply because he represents the restless youth of India, bubbling with energy to bring more and more name and fame for their country. You can name several of them from Bhupati, Paes, Sania, Nehwal, Somdev and several others even Deepika Padukone (Star) list is end less. Every single Indian who has heard the name of Sachin tendulkar would agree and recommend "BHARAT RATNA" to him. I think Government must reward such young and ignited youths early to encourage others to emulate them.

For the cause of women
The entire world saw the shameful drama being enacted in the Rajya Sabha over the women reservation bill. Could we not have a simpler solution to the entire issue by converting all the Lok Sabha constituencies into two seats constituencies whereby each one of them could send one man MP and one woman MP. This would ensure stability, continuity and certainty besides ensuring adequate representation to women as well as caste based reservations

Can Child Care Leave be denied?
While the government on one hand gave all women working in the government the added benefit of child care leave with one hand it took away its benefit to those women who have served the govt. for 18 or more years and whose children are studying in class10th 11th or 12th by adding the clause that LAP has to be exhausted prior to child care leave being availed of. Most of the ladies have accumulated about 300 days of earned leave . This leave will have to be exhausted prior to child care being availed of. Once LAP has been exhausted and child care leave availed these ladies would have no earned leave to their credit despite having put in over 20-22 years of service. Hence the latter provision of LAP being exhausted may be amended to read that if a lady has over 300 days of LAP then it has to be exhausted prior to Child Care Leave being availed.
Also does it mean that those women who have LAP in their account will not be entitled to Child Care Leave in case sanction of LAP is refused by the Competent Authority. Can a lady officer posted very far, in a non metro, from her previous posting at a Metro be denied CCL which she needs to be with her son who is appearing for class Xth exams in the same metro as her previous posting as she has LAP to her credit?
It is requested that on the occasion of Women's Day the concerned Authorities take some steps to rectify the much needed anomaly so that CCL can be utilized by all ladies whose children are less than 18 years of age.

TAIL-PIECE

Even God has a Sense of Humour!! God was in the process of creating the universe. And he was explaining to his subordinates "Look everything should be in balance. For example, after every 10 deer there should be a lion. Look here my fellow angels, here is the country of the United States. I have blessed them with prosperity and money. But at the same time I have given them insecurity and tension.... And here is Africa. I have given them beautiful nature. But at the same time, I have given them climatic extremes. And here is South America. I have given them lots of forests. But at the same time, I have given them lesser land so that they would have to cut off the forests... So you see fellows, everything should be in balance.  One of the angels asked..."God, what is this extremely beautiful country here?"  God said....... "Ahah...that is the crown piece of all. " INDIA ", My most precious creation.  It has understanding and friendly people. Sparkling streams and serene mountains. A culture which speaks of the great tradition that they live. Technologically brilliant and with a heart of gold..... The angel was quite surprised: "But God you said everything should be in balance."  God replied -- "Look at the neighbours I gave them.
