Aaj Ki Aawaz

AICC session showed Congress is in denial mode!!!
Many say UPA today is corruption's abode!!

During the AICC session you had culprits like Kalmadi in full form!!
To keep such people away is the norm!!

But as Congress is in no mood to make Kalmadi, Raja, Pawar pay for their deeds!!
So down the 'garden path' the Nation Congress leads!!

Congress's stand is 'guilty will be brought to book'!
But from what's happening it seems the guilty will be let off the hook!!

Adarsh scam ……Chavan offered to resign!
But after this there was no resigning ka even sign!!

In Congress this is the SOP…… say guilty will not be spared!!
Caveat ' first guilt has to be bared'!!!

Then the accused offers to resign but do not do so!!
Usually it's a verbal offer and beyond the offer they do not go!!

To 'cries for taking action' the Party Leadership apne ears karr lethi hai cup!!
Then the accused and Party waits for some other scandal to crop up!!!

The next scandal too will be about Congress!
Acceptable.... a scandal staying in public glare beyond a certain perior causes stress!

CWG was there in public domain!!
Kalmadi knew for a limited period it would remain!!

Then came the Adrash scam and CWG was pushed out!!!
And there was a sigh of relief from Kalmadi the lout!!

Sonia and Rahul target Nitish but fact is they know Congress's situation!
But post the results for Congress there will be cause for some elation!!

Congress will do better and this will be at Laloo and Paswan's expense!!
Loss Laloo ne already karr liya hai sense!!

Obama will hand over the 'overseas asset info of Indian Leaders' to Mohna!!!
Mohna has 3 options…. reveal political foes names or on it sonna (sleep) or khona (loose it)!!

But what needs to be seen is why Obama is doing this…..blackmail!!
Message will be ' toe my line or I'll make list Public if you fail'!

He expects the entire polity cutting across Party lines will exert pressure!!
After all it's known that practically every Leader has 'overseas treasure'!!

Obama has his pressures and he wants India to do the needful!!
And he has lots of demands …. bag full!!

From Nuclear Civil Liability Bill to defence deals to usage of Indian bases,
Sorry not 'bag full'…Obama's coming with demands ke suitcases!!

Confucius says…. USSR kept the Indian polity in line with a similar threat!!
USSR had its ways to make those in power in India out of fear sweat!!

Adds... how can we forget an ex Congress PM's sudden Moscow unscheduled stop over!!
Seems he got a threat in Russian and English ' stop over at Moscow or Congress's game is over'!!

Only God can save India

Scams followed by another scam,
corruption, nepotism, galore;
Politicians, outwardly asking end to all this,
But, what to do, their dil mange more and more.

God would certainly reincarnate soon,
Thought our forefathers during British mis-rule;
Never imagined at time of freedom,
Native rulers would make democracy a tool.

A last ray of hope, the disciplined Indian forces,
Alas! Its top brass too, hungry and greedy;
Can't ask foreigners to rule us again,
No use now preventing soul to leave the body.

Secularism, freedom of speech, freedom of worship,
Highlighted as tenets of democratic India;
For Indian politicians those principles mere ideas,
Lost all hopes now, only God can save India.

Why should Ministers have a say in postings of officials?

What is the Cabinet Secretariat for? Is it to sub serve them and toe their line in every damn thing and get into a mess later on. Its time bureaucracy resists this evil practice.

Quite interesting

It is interesting to know through newspaper reports that Obama is bringing a list of 'netas' who have stashed millions of dollars abroad. There are other details like the names of tax heavens and the banks. If true what could be the purpose? Quite a sinister revelation it would be. Is it to blackmail the Govt. into giving in to what he wants to peck up his image back home after the present election debacle by picking up thousands of crores of defence orders to create jobs for Americans? Or is it to provide his 'friend' with a weapon of blackmail for his rivals and boss or is it to get a whip to subdue stalwarts from the opposition or those of Allies by blackmailing them after picking up the names only from them and hiding those of the Congress. It is all very intriguing. One thing however the media should sincerely follow is the nature of agreements to be signed with USA. Imports from USA may create jobs there but we will lose jobs here. Already our garment exports are down leading to closure of mills and slashing of employment. The defence agreement of them having bases here and use their bases there has already been objected to by the three Chiefs of Armed forces. It is ridiculous on the face of it and dangerous too. They can use our bases for Pakistan, Afganistan and what not. What for are we going to use their bases. It will indeed be interesting to watch the outcome of Obama visit keeping in view our Prime minister's equation with him.

Why can't they increase the age of retirement ?

Time and again government recognises that services are still required from the bureaucrats. Why can't they increase the age to 62 years as done in China and France.

Yeh kaisa Athiti Devo Bhava?
I have been watching with curiosity the media stories and statements from the GOI ministries about the forthcoming visit of the American President to India and wondering why such coldness was being spread for this athiti rather than the warmth of the red carpet! I have found the answer and wish to share it with WIC surfers. Actually we want our athiti(guest) to be like Dev(God). It has been misunderstood to mean that Indians treat their guest as God. No, they don't! They simply want their guest to be cast in the mould of God--nothing more, nothing less. The guest is supposed to be athiti devo bhava. The guest should not be like humans or demons. Because then the ritual of welcome is totally different. Now, when President Obama is coming to India with a list of Indians, who have stacked their ill gotten money(corruption incomes like G 2, CWG, Adarsh, Madhu Koda, Quottrocchi, defence deals, food exports, sugar imports etc) in foreign banks, complete with their name, designation, addresses, banks details along with account number etc, what more should he expect! He is behaving exactly like the human/demons behave: rather the Indians behave. How can he be treated to a warm welcome? Corruption protocol does not permit it. How can he destabilise the Indian polity. The Indian democracy, like the American counterpart, takes serious view of such conduct. In Obama's case, they can't even call it communal, fundamentalist, fascist, marxist, socialist or capitalist conspiracy to harm the government. It robs them of referring to the "invisible foreign hand", since Obama spills the beans with both his hands in front of the cameras and the hand can no more remain invisible. Hence the coldness. Hence the negative coverage. Hence more of his losing the confidence of the American voters. If Indians can play their games from the American soil, can't the Americans play theirs from the Indian soil, especially when political party to political party bonds are strong. Unless President Obama changes to the image of a dev, he can not be treated as one. For him to decide whether he would like us to chant again Athiti Devo Bhava?
