What People say about WHISPERS.I agree with B.P.Singh that WIC gives lot of advance information which is 99% correct. However this cannot be said against IB's in this regard. While WIC gives information about postings and promotions, IB operatives used to give all the information about a bureaucrat, corporate leaders in the shortest possible time. While IB operatives had to share responsibility for their news (reports), WIC enjoys journalistic freedom. Wish some reports from IB were published to give an idea of its operative's depth and commitment.

Aaj Ki Aawaz
Our PM is now fixated on Obama’s November ‘Visit de State’!!!
If it were left to Mohna at the Airport now itself he’d wait!!

Everything has been put on the back burner!!
Nowadays for Obama’s visit Mohna’s become a ‘midnight oil burner’!!

Night and day our PM is on the job for Obama’s State Visit!!
Sonia should call up Mohna and order him ‘ease it’!!

Or by the time Obama comes Mohna’s going to be extremely wound up!!
Mohna is desperate to win the ‘Sucking up to Obama Cup’!!

US maybe called a Democracy!!
But when it comes to dealing with other Nations US believes in autocracy!

US usually ends up making an offer ‘ accept it or lump it’!!
Too many ‘fires’ all over the World US has lit!!

But US is all for its citizens and this is its biggest plus point!!
In this India sure does disappoint!!

Here India is for those who are in power and for others it does not care!!
You matter if you ‘occupy power waali chair’!!

On Ayodhaya verdict Congress is in a tizzy or you can say in a spot!!!!
And in billiards terminology 'its cue ball Congress will pot'!!!

And for the dual talk Diggy has been pressed in service!!!
Though some of his past rants have in fact been to Congress a disservice!!

This verdict should in actuality be accepted by all!!!
And for joint efforts to build the temple and Mosque there should be a joint call!!

But then if this takes place how its siyaasat ki rotis Congress will cook????
Congress creates fires and gives a worried, innocent and caring look!!

Does Sukhbir Badal want Manpreet Badal out of the Akali Dal?????
Insiders say this was bound to happen ‘aaj ya kall’!!

Sukhbir is good for Akali Dal and Manpreet good for Punjab State!!
Sukhbir is good at politicking and as an able administrator Manpreet many do rate!!

Why doesn’t Sukhbir be like Sonia and let Manpreet be his Mohna?????
Win elections and be the King maker and let Manpreet handle the administrative ronna dohna???

Only problem unlike Mohna Manpreet is ambitious!!
And to be a ‘Mohna for Sonia’ one has to be totally unambitious!!

Confucius says….though saying ‘I am not ambitious’ is like saying ‘I’m humble and damn proud of it’!!
Within each one of us ambition doth sit!!

Adds…. don’t tell me Mohna did not aspire to be the PM!!!!
So it was his ambition that made him happily become Sonia’s GM!!

Adds more.... And now he knows he'll be the PM till Sonia trusts him!!!!
He may not agree with Sonia but his ambition forces him to abide by her every whim!

No monsoon wedding but talent & technology
Sports are one of the most powerful tools of the foreign policy of nations in the contemporary world. We seem to ignore this aspect: the External Affairs minister was compelled to ask the sports minister to express regrets to the injured foreign dignitaries and still there is no media report on anything having been done. We do not seem to attach much significance to sports. Or do we really appreciate what sports are, what they can do, what benefits can flow to the nation apart from a few medals? The way our sports ministers have been allotted the sports portfolio and their comments and curses do not assure us of any appreciation of the value of sports in the nation's foreign, trade or cultural policy. One happily thinks it is no more than a monsoon wedding, while another curses the failure of the CWG. We mock ourselves publicly in the company of dignitaries from more than 71 countries by applauding one and booing the other in complete breach of decency and decorum. But we are quick to shower barrage of acidic comments if some foreign media says something inappropriate. We distribute largesse instead of promoting sports talent. It has become a game of patronizing, rather than hunt for the potential & actual sports talent. What is our investment in technology in sports? The foreign media might be saying uncharitable things about India hosting the CWG, which can be ignored also , provided we develop or invest in sports technology, sports persons and sports infrastructure in a big way. Just recapitulate the essential sports items like shoes etc and see whether we are at a stage to produce sports shoes of international quality on our own without technical help from the developed world. Or can we even make roaring business of sports as they do. For the developed world, sports are an "industry". For us? A monsoon wedding? Perhaps yes, perhaps no. We have a long journey to perform and yet we have not yet started. We have been in sports for so long, but have no brand name of any sports product to our credit! We have to treat sports as an area of specialization (not simply patronization),talent(no mediocrity),trade, foreign policy, culture and international exchange. We must resolve now to invest in talent and technology in sports in India.

A true 'Karma Yogi'

I was keen to post my tribute to the noble soul that S. R. Sankaran was. He guided many of us from our probationary days. His simplicity, spontaneity, transparency, devotion to duty are but few qualities which I can recollect here. Rare are such individuals nay he was a true 'Karma Yogi'. I bow my head to him and pray for his blessings.
