Aaj Ki Aawaz

'For peace in J&K Mohna made an appeal!!!
However the cry for 'Azaadi from Omar' Mohna no hahi karta appeal!!

And then the Guv is as hard nosed as one can get!!!
Even in the worst of tragedies his eyes will not ‘go wet’!!

And if Faroukh is Omar’s replacement!!
Then many would withdraw their calls for Omar’s displacement!!

And just see the money Centre has been sending to Kashmir!!
In actuality the State should be very very ameer (rich)!!

The Abdullahs, Muftis and Azads have all ‘made hay’!!!!
And for their hay making Kashmir is being made to pay!!

If the Central funds reached their goals strife would be lesser to a great extent!
But gross pilferage took place of funds that by the Centre were sent!!

And if Sonia is still trying to find out why in the Valley there is so much rage!!!
Then she’s trying to educate herself at a very late stage!!

What the Valley needs is all Netas be banished!!
Then in a few months Kashmiris will be saying ‘ do not know how strife just vanished’!

All the Netas in their attempts get the political upper hand!!
Are bajaoing Kashmir ka band!!

On demands of pulling out the Army or curbing Army’s powers!!!
We all know who will be ecstatic if guard India lowers!!

This all Party Meet is just hogwash…… nothing will come out of it!!
Some will hit out at each other or twiddling their thumbs some will sit!!

Rahul says that PM is not the only job!!
From Rahul another high lob!!

And one with a lot of spin!!!
His warning ‘ mujh ko nahi karr sakthe pin’!!

There’s also the danger that he’s enjoyed PM kind of power without responsibility!!
In his present role he has all the power and no accountability!!

But many would agree to become PM he should first get married!!
He needs experience in getting harried!!

Confucius says….. man and woman are not made to live alone!!!
Lonely starts with lone!!

Our CWG

This is not a joke this is exactly how things have been done & are still being done !!
Three contractors are bidding to fix a broken fence at the No. 10 Downing Street. One is an English worker, another is a Scottish worker, and the third is an Indian worker.
All three go with a No. 10 official to examine the fence. The English contractor takes out a tape measure & does some measuring, then works some figures with a pencil.
"Well," he says, "I figure the job will run to about £500: £200 for materials, £200 for my crew and £100 profit for me." The Scottish contractor also does some measuring, figuring, then says, "I can do this job for £600: £250 for materials, £250 for my crew and £100 profit for me."
The Indian contractor doesn't measure or figure, but leans over to the No. 10 official and whispers, "£1500." The official, incredulous, says, "You didn't even measure like the other guys! How did you come up with such a high figure?" The Indian contractor whispers back, "£500 for me, £500 for you, and we will hire the English contractor to fix the fence."
"Done!" replies the government official. Now you know how the CWG got where it is!

Arrogance of India's ruling class

Yesterday while I was switching through the news channels on TV, two news caught my attention and again reminded me the sheer arrogance of India's ruling class. The one was a Union Minister shooing away a Dronacharya Award winner coach and the other about merciless killing of a security guard of a cinema hall for daring to stop the Superintendent of Police. Citizens of this country witness naked display of feudal power by netas and bureaucrats alike on our roads daily with beaconed cars loaded with gun bearing security personnel shooing away the common citizens to clear the roads for so called VVIP's. One does not witness this kind of naked display of power even in African Dictatorships.
On the side of spectrum is our great minister talking about administrative reforms and making the governance 'citizen centric'. Can Mr. Minister tell us a single administrative reform carried out in last six years pl ? Or all this talk is for consumption of big seminars where lakhs of rupees are wasted without a single visible outcome.

Save the country

Save the country from division- UPA govt. is bent upon bringing Kashmir to pre 1953 position. There will be two PM in country, two President in country-one for Kashmir one for remaining India. The bureaucrats should come forward to save country from division. Oppose the UPA move.

Let there be justice in bureaucracy

The circular regarding empanelment of non IAS officers to the posts of Secretary is a welcome step but it remains to be seen that when the actual empanelment and posting takes place .By far, all non IAS services know only one thing ..Joint Secretary and above are the domain of a single service.

Real worth of CPMFs

Why Indian Army feels insecure while talking on issues of other forces? Doesn't it reflect their complex and overbearing attitude? How do they lose anything in case government gives to others? The lady writer has really touched the core of our mindset, i.e. The Colonial Legacy. We in India are still suffering from this as well as the Castiest Attitude in all our system and functioning. Indian Army is the Holy Cow and Brahmins of all services, not by their actions but by their status only. How long this respect will remain, has to be seen. All my countrymen should know what is happening in Kashmir Valley today. Kindly study the trend before and after 2007 in Valley's incidents. This was the year when BSF was withdrawn from there. In the overall security deployment since early 1990s, this is the only change. Army was there and is there. CRPF was there and is there. Dear countrymen this speaks for itself, who is the missing link and how adversely it has affected the situation. It is conveniently forgotten that IPKF was a great failure. Kargil was a cheating done by them to India. Insurgency in North East is the byproduct of Indain Army's atrocities. Hello, North, South, West Indians, just go and see what the NE people say about Indian Army and its stooge Assam Rifles. Have we forgotten Manipur case which has alienated them further from us by whose acts? What their officers and troops are doing in Congo and on other UN Missions are making news for wrong reasons from Rape to Minerals smuggling. But yes they have got a very well organised PR system including Ms Barkha Dutt and other electronic media who earned them several Gallantry Medals during Kargil, first for giving away the indian land to pakistan and then taking back some portion of that. Armymen can take a stand before government, blackmail it by sheer strength of their symbolic aura and established leadership. But same privilege is not with CPMFs. Their Leadership is drawn from IPS who are always kept on tenterhooks by politicians and bureaucrats and can be shunted out, kicked out anytime and thrown to another politician's basket. Then tell me who will take up the cause of these forces. Why cannot Indian Army fight for our issues? Are we lesser mortals?
