Aaj Ki Aawaz

Why the hell are they fighting to inaugurate the CWG????
Don’t they know Chori Waali Games is how Public deciphers CWG!!

If the Games go off even 'half as well'!!!
Congress is going to tell all claiming for heads to roll to go to hell!!

Hope you have noticed that BJP is crying for heads to roll in a half hearted way!
Malhotra and Tent Wallah Mittal are pro Kalmadi insiders say!!

Fact of the matter is India’s image has taken a beating on account of these Games!!
And for any Nation this is indeed one of the biggest shames!!

After all the Games are supposed to show-case the Country hosting it!!
But in our case on account of CWG India’s taken a hit!!

They say Sonia is angry …… chalo better late than never!!!
Long time back Party ne Kalmadi ko CWG se karna chahiye tha sever!!

It’s worth finding out that despite the hue and cry why Kalmadi was not sacked???
Insiders say by Sonia he was backed!!

Mohna was least bit bothered!!!
Or maybe he protested but then on orders himself his protests he smothered!!

Its illogical that despite the alarm bells action was not taken!!!
With National prestige at stake why despite the alarm bells Congress did not awaken?

Such a colossal waste of money as with this money so much could have been done!!
So many battles 'on problems plaguing the Nation' could have been won!!

Simply the CWG is a case of priorities misplaced!!
And now a double whammy as because of CWG India’s got disgraced!!

Shiela Aunty played her own games!!!
One of the most crafty Dame’s!!

Gill the Clown!!!
As Sports Minister let India down!!

But alas in the end though CWG shame will stay but we’ll move on!!!
In the past too ‘on issues of National prestige’ this has been done!!

Montek says CWG controversy will not affect investment inflow!!
But fact is India has lost some of its glow!!

And Montek saying so means there can be affect on investment inflow!!!
For India this indeed is a low!!

Mohna released a book on ‘Monuments in Delhi’ … on tackling corruption he’s been one!!
A monumental flop as on Pawar, Raja and Kalamdi’s chori nothing he’s done!!

Confucius says… be it forced or voluntary Mohna’s silence is deafening ….sad!!
To side with the dishonest Mohna has shown he has a fad!!

Political Master Stroke ?
Ayodhya Babri Masjid judgement is being delivered just 3 days before the opening of the Commonwealth games. And congress party is rejoicing with the perfect timing of the judgment. The onus of maintaining Law and Order is on the State Goverments. And surely opposition will not like to shame India by having roits when CWG are being held in the country. If this was timed by the Congress Managers than its some Chanakya brain at work !

Whom to post as Police Commissioner in Jaipur ?

Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot is facing a dilemma as far as introduction of much awaited Police Commissioners (PCs) system in state was concerned .IPS officers are to be posted as PCs in cities of Jaipur and Jodhpur. However, it is yet to be firmed whether there should be an ADG rank or an IG rank IPS officer in Jaipur. As the grapevine has it, efforts are afoot to get an IPS officer of ADG rank posted as PC in Jaipur. Logic being advanced for this is that Jaipur is a bigger city than Jodhpur. If an IG rank officer was posted in Jodhpur then naturally an ADG rank IPS officer should be posted as maiden PC.

KUDOOS Justice Venkat

I could have never gathered enough courage to write the ills in our highest judicial system. You have just scratched the tip of the ice berg. The system needs to be over hauled. I was watching television today and heard learned attorney Harish Salve narrate how the hearing in case of Babri Masjid demolition (Kalyan Singh) was fixed. He forgot to mention that SC delivered a guilty verdict and punished only one accused for just one day on last day of CJI's retirement. History will remember us through our judgements and not through our off the cuff comments in the courts. And you are right, we are the last hope for the common man of our country and if we fail him he will lose faith in our Nation.

GoI should sieze CWG related files

What will the retired Judge see as all papers will be destroyed by Kalmadi and his men. Earlier they burnt Sports Ministry files which were brought out by one officer who was later on employed in OC. The Government must take over all the files if they are serious about any investigation before it is too late.

IPS Governors

I only mentioned that it is intriguing that so many governors are from the Indian Police Service because it has not happened in the past, and there must be some good reason for it. It does not mean "brahmanical mindset" and other such nonsensical things. Perhaps the government feels that IPS officers are better suited to implement their policies and keep an eye on the governments in the states than others? Many of the IPS governors have been intelligence officers in the past.

CWG

Has it been ever considered by our worthy press or our intellectuals ,that celebration of CWG by us is celebration of the memory of British rule over us. Further ,whether India has any benefit of being a part of Common Wealth countries ? Are Indians not required to obtain visas for visiting any common wealth country including the colonist Britain  or ,do we get any aid/help being a part of Common Wealth ? What is the sanctity of celebrating our Independence day ,as also welcoming queen's baton and requesting the British monarchy to declare the CWG open?

Next step of Cabinet Secretary !

Cabinet Secretary has done a lot for up-lifting the morale, spirit and status of the civil service. Will retirement age at 65 be his next step?

Discard CWG

Why don't we get out of this Commonwealth. This stupid slavish group of nations still regards the Queen of England as their ultimate leader. What benefit we achieved being its part for the last 60 years except giving an opportunity to people like Kalmadi to loot us and to have training/visit to some stupid slavish bureaucrats.

Retiring bureaucrats and Times of India news

In today’s news (28.9.10), Times of India published news about retiring bureaucrats in Ministry of Finance, Government of India and tried to conclude as if India’s economic policy is under threat in view of the senior bureaucrats retiring in quick succession. In other words, it wanted to convey that the economic policy of the country is being framed by only those heading the Departments (Secretaries concerned) and those subordinate to them are incompetent or have no knowledge in that field. I was disappointed to find such views in the Times of India which boasts of a most-read national newspaper. In case the daily is trying to hint at giving these officers extensions or increase retirement age limit, then would not the Indian economy collapse when their extended period too expires or (god forbid) something happens to them in harness. When would we all understand that nobody on this earth is indispensable? If at all their experience is to be utilized, they could be appointed Advisors or Consultants (in any case they are certain to be selected for some tenure posts) and assist their successors in continuation of their policies and programmes, instead of blocking promotional aspects of their juniors. In the above context it is my humble request to all patriots, news channels and dailies that if they want the government to extend retirement age, it should do so openly but with logistics in the Indian context, and not give importance/space to such news items just because those retiring bureaucrats happen to be friendly to them.

Let us lift our spirits

We are angry,  we are shamed but for God's sake let us lift our spirits and get into the celebratory mood. Let the two Mikes-Cooper and Fennell not get away with disparaging remarks about my country. Yes there were Dogs and snakes in the Games village and Tennis stadium besides filth. So what? We love animals. We let them roam free on our roads-cows and bulls, dogs and cats. They are part of us. Leave it or take it you sportsmen of the world. But do appreciate our hospitality you athletes and delegates of the Commonwealth countries, the kind of spread in the Games' dining hall, the doting we do on our guests. There are special lanes on the roads to ferry you, special buses to take you around and the entire establishment from the Chief minister to a MCD sweeper of Delhi are at your service. even the Prime minister of my country is monitoring your comfort. Now play and win medals. As for the media please get into a positive mode. Do not give more bad name to India. But yes do not forget those who created all the mess ,chaos and waste. Pursue them with vigour and honesty and see to it that they are punished. But after the Games. Now give a helping hand to lift the clouds and usher in sunshine of pride in the nation. Forget the thieves and robbers of the Games, think of the thousands of workers, labourers, sweepers and volunteers who have been made to work hard for no particular incentive but their daily wages. Clap for them and be generous to clap for the country.

Aarti Khosla
