AAJ KI AAWAZ

‘I want a young Cabinet’ says Mohna who himself is beyond retirement age!
But why did he bring up ‘his not retiring at this stage’????

‘I cannot be held responsible for other’s wanting to grab PM’s chair from me’!!
From this what is going on in Congress is so very easy to see!!

‘Sooner than later’ Mohna will have to vacate 7 Race Course!!!
Now bets on this are being placed in every Indian betting ‘bourse’!!

Mohna’s biggest ‘lapse’ has been his looking the other way!!
Honest men do not forgive dishonesty is what the ‘Honesty Manual doth say’!!!

Yes he was under pressure from his Boss and Party!!!
But by looking the other way to the dishonesty of others he’s become party!!

His insensitivity to the pain Indians suffer on account of inflation is also doing him in!
He and Montek created a 'inflation will fall soon' fibbing din!!

Rather than fighting inflation he was perceived as 'siding with it'!!
'He had said ' When growth is there inflation does rise a bit'!!!

And then he was the proponent of the 'fuel prices decontrol'!!
In inflation's 'meteoric rise' Mohna's played a dubious role!!

Mohna has advised US Nuclear Equipment Supplies ‘have no fear’!!
Yes ‘to them India’s PM seems to be very near’!!

Mohna was saying this in response to news that Suppliers in US are up in arms!!
And so to calm frayed nerves Mohna’s using his charms!!

After all Mohna takes America and Americans seriously!!
It’s with us that he behaves 'carelessly, heartlessly and imperiously'!!

How can Mohna term SC’s ‘distribute rotting grain order as ‘policy formation’??
What would any sane human do when he gets ‘ this rotting grain information’???

In a Nation with so many hungry won’t he say ‘give it away to those in need’!!!
And this advice a sane person would heed!!

But seems Mohna under advice from Pawar is not doing so!!
Pawar to SC’s order said ‘no’ then said ‘yes’ and now is getting Mohna to say 'no'!

Nowadays Pawar has another worry on his mind….glut of sugarcane!!!
News that next crop will be more than abundant is giving him tremendous pain!!

When sugarcane crop fell he suffered no pain at all!!
As a ‘Sugar Baron’ he’s taking on the glut prediction a timely call!!

He wants sugar prices to be decontrolled!!!
And then by the Sugar Lobby the prices will be controlled!!

What if next year the crop fails????
Why do you think as a saviour Pawar ko the Sugar Lobby hails???

He’s one of them and he too has a finger in the pie…. all ten fingers and toes too!
Whatever he can do to favour this lobby Pawar does do!!

Now he’s off to Brazil on a decontrol of sugar prices tour!!
To Brazil’s approach India he wants to moor!!

Confucius says….Honest and dishonest can never see eye to eye!!
However our Mohna and Pawar show that this theory is a lie!!

IRS promotion –wrong notions

This is with regard to comment of Rohit Sharma on IRS promotion. His contention that Account services whose ranks were lower in UPSC vis a vis IRS and despite this lower rank they are getting faster promotion. This contention is not correct-
1. Many Audit Account service officers ranks are higher than IRS. Craving for IRS is a recent phenomena.
2.If rank in UPSC has anything to do with promotion then 50 percent of IAS candidates ranks are lower than many of the other Group A services. ( this apply to all the services)
3. Ranks also depend on year of vacany. A candidate at certain rank is getting certain service but at the same rank in subsequent year he may get so called superior service.( and vice versa also)
4.Promotion can not be demanded on the basis of rank in UPSC. There is inter services discrepancies in promotion, no doubt about that, but if UPSC rank is taken for promotion irrespective of service allotted then many of so called good services officers will be lagging behind.

DTC - a mockery of sort

The direct Tax code , called DTC, has been made a mockery of sort. What a great effort might have gone in to tampering with a cohesive simple law easily understood by people. It would have improved compliance and increased the comfort quotient of tax payers. It apears that interest of income tax officers triumphed over the national interest. No wonder there is competition to see which service attracts the top rankers in civil service exam. Carry on rent seeking activities.

Tea Board Chairman

Poor Steno Gr. 'D'

When a 2003 UDC has been promoted as Assistant and 1993 UDC has become regular Assistant vide SL 2003, why 1983-1984 steno is promoted as regular Steno C from 2008 SL. This problem is because of acute shortage in number of vacancies in Steno C posts and wrong policy being followed till now whereas the posts have been wrongly been filled up by direct recruitment as well as through departmental examination whereas the promotee quota is very low or negligible which is the real cause of stagnation amongst Steno D who are not being promoted despite having put in more than 27 years of continuous regular service in the cadre. DOP&T may kindly look into the matter, stop direct recruitment and clear the backlog of feeder grade i.e. Steno D, promote them as Steno C in the same manner as is done by promoting UDC to Assistant. There is no departmental examination to promote UDCs to Assistants, then why is it in case of Steno C, the wrong policy of filling up the vacancies is being followed due to which Steno D are stagnating. Change the policy at once and promote them as is done in case of UDCs. All the posts are increased in proper ratio and regular all Steno C aad-hoc who are working since 1993 as ad-hoc no financial benefit or budgetary provision is involved. It is only a change of policy that will benefit all hard-working stenos who despite working for long hours and doing more of the officer's work are being humiliated for no fault of theirs. If it had been done sincerely, all steno D till 1993 would been regular Steno C atleast till the SL of 2006 itself. But instead, DOPT has increased the no of PPS/Sr.PPS/PSO posts and dumped steno D. Our promotion is done on ancient method; i.e. 1983 latest as per 2008 Select List.

Real sufferer

I completely agree with G. Saran. Cadre of Steno Gr. 'D' is the real sufferer. I exhort all my fellow beings to get united and put pressure on the government for redressing our genuine problem.

Subhash Gandhi

Attention Chidambaram

Being DOPT under your charge, I would like to bring to your notice the service of CSSS cadre, especially Gr.D and Gr.C Stenographers who are the great sufferers for opting the service at their early age due to wrong promotion policies of the Government. They are getting their promotion even after 27-28 years of their dedicated and sincere service to the GOI. I being a citizen and dedicated worker, on behalf of this class of service request your honour to kindly look into it personally and a sympathetic view may kindly be taken to restore the dignity of this class.

Correct the folly
There is a whisper regarding action against a Customs Officer who belongs to Customs House at JN Port and not JNPT, which undoubtedly is a separate organisation under another Union Ministry
