Aaj Ki Aawaz

The Right to Food Bill will cost the Nation 5 lakh crores!!! You can imagine even if the delivery rate is artificially high ...say 30% ......what a fantabulous amount of money will be made by the unscrupulous lot.....Netas, Officials and their 'helpers'!!!! It's being said that NREGA has benefitted only 10% of those living under the poverty line..... had it served its purpose there would be no need for Right to Food Bill!! You can imagine what will happen when The Right to Food Bill comes into force.... deficit will balloon..... field day fore chors.... inflation will rise and Rupee will take a beating!! My feeling is Sonia's got her version of the Bill passed by the Cabinet..... now Rahul's got something to tom-tom about in UP and Congress in Punjab and Uttrakhand!!! In its passage to become law I'm sure this Bill will be watered down and fine tuned.... but Sonia's ensured she'll get credit for the original version!!!

As it is Pawar's finished India's food security!!

And the depletion in the Agri land bank will only add to our food insecurity!!

Rahul saw a heap of potatoes in UP and thought he'd hit an 'electoral issue jackpot'!!! After this wherever he went he spoke of ' farmers getting Rs. 1 / Kg for potatoes and the same potatoes being sold as chips.... half a potato going in to make a Rs. 10 packet of chips.... after this he went on to extol the virtues of FDI and assured the Farmers that when FDI in Retail became a reality they'd get better prices for their produce'!!!! What he forgot is that it's FDI that's milking the Chips market!! In fact they are gobbling up domestic brands!!!! The basic principle of Big Ticket Retail is 'big eats small' at the sale end..... and big dictates terms at the buying end.... and then ruthlessly control operation costs!!! Of course our Rahul Baba only knows the front end ... the friendly end of Big Ticket Retail!!!

Biggest Chips Brand here is Lays!!!!

This should show you how FDI 'wayLays'!!

In Punjab the electoral scene is getting heated!!!! Manpreet's PPP has been virtually reduced to Papa (Gurdas), Puttar (Manpreet) and Prankster ( Bhagwant Mann).........those deserting him blame his autocratic behaviour, his wife's and Saala's interference and the lack of transparency in the finances of PPP!! Weren't transparency, honesty and doing away with Pariwaarwaad Manpreet's planks???? Even Barnalas are on the verge of exiting Sanjah Morcha.... Barnalas were Congressmen in Akali (they had their own Akali faction) garb and now are on the verge of becoming Congressmen 'khulam khulla'!!! There are rumours of a 'wild card' entry in the CM race if Congress wins!!! Badal in the meantime will now start getting electorate emotional... 'this will be my last chance to serve you'!!!!! Oh I forget Trojan Horse Simranjeet Singh Mann..... he's Congress's trouble maker... though he positions himself as one who give Congress trouble!!

Looks like anti incumbency will again take a toll!!!

This has been the trend on every poll (State Elections)!!

PS..... very soon Kapil Sibal will say that the Right to Food Bill will have a 0 effect on the exchequer!!! Logic behind Right to Food Bill.... Mother's Recipe (for Rahul)!! Is Mallya going to get KF Airlines pic in his Calendar.....Kingfisher is being stripped.... routes, Pilots, hubs???? Hopefully in 5 years there will be a Kimchi Spring in North Korea..... and Communism will get the boot.... USA has now got the time after its exit from Iraq... in fact now even China is embarrassed about North Korea's Communism .... they feel North Korea is giving Communism a bad name!! Dr. Swamy has sworn that he will not allow Rahul to becoem PM.... and I'm sure Rahul will give him all the support for fulfilling this vow!!

Submission to CBDT

As per last budget speech by Hon,ble Finance Minister, the ITRs of senior citizens and small tax payers whose taxable income is less than 10 lakhs will not be ordinarily scrutinised unless income tax authorities have otherwise information. In this respect it is submitted that tax authorities should follow the same in the same letter & spirit. Secondly the income tax department charges 1% penal interest on the amount due from tax payers, the department should also pay the same interest along with refund from 1st April of next FY to the date of refund. It will provide great relief to tax payers.

DoPT is not fair to Central Services

I agree that the entire system has been tuned to favour IAS officers. No fair system is followed when it comes to empanelment, fixation of scales and other allotments - take it either foreign tours, house allotments or trainings, posting of officers at some important posts, etc. This hypocrisy is again evident from the two years seniority provisions. And of course, there is no logic in it (It is not just two years but four years till Selection Grade since two additional increments are already provided for the IAS officers when they reach the Senior Time, JAG and Selection Grades, thus making a total difference of four years). In States, such discriminations are still higher since all the other Department officials need to depend upon IAS officers even for routine legitimate things. When the Government really bothers to come above board and treat all the officials in an unbiased professional way, the real talent of many officers of other Departments can be tapped and effectively used for development!

It is really very surprising

It is really very surprising that Highly educated Electronics & Telecom Engineers are sitting without work and non technical people are occupying various posts in technical departments of govt of India. May the good senses prevail in decision makers of this country and they understand the importance of this technically and administratively rich pool of Engineers.

Would somebody answer this?

It is surprising that P Chidambaram is now talking of seniority.Where was this argument when the Railway Ministry appointed Member Engineering a very much senior person with what merit?

The Crusade

There was a sea of people on the grounds The message of zero tolerance was on the rounds
Emotions like the rising tide ran rough and wild Crusaders against corruption were anything but mild The day had come when "They would overcome" The war against corruption would now be won!

Men, women and children had gathered from far and wide.

Chiku with his mother stood on one side

He gripped his mother's hand tight

To withstand the force of the human tide

He had witnessed such scenes in films and television

But live action was new to his childish vision

"Ma, who is the villain and who the hero?"

"Son, politicians and bureaucracy are the villains in our democracy…

We the common people are the hero, and we have joined hands to make them zero!"

Just then Papa intervened and much to Chiku's relief said it was time to leave

The crusader family walked out of the ground

But a policeman was on his routine round

Their car was parked in the no parking zone

No way would he leave them alone

A hundred rupee note did the trick

The thorn was broken before it could prick.

Papa drove fast as boss was coming home for dinner

Adequate pampering could make him the winner

He had managed an important information leak

Promotion list was due next week

An expensive gift and a sumptuous meal

Would surely help him clinch the deal.

Ma had worries of her own

Next week she had to travel alone

On their way home Papa spoke to the tout

He would confirm the ticket without doubt

Some extra payment was all it was about!

Chiku sat quietly in the back seat

His question he wanted to repeat…

In this story of corruption who is the villain and who the hero?

And who would make the villain zero?

I see the vacant look in Chiku's gaze

His question fills my mind with the same haze…

Don't takers and givers of bribe belong to the same tribe?

Who is responsible for our moral derailment?

Are empty rhetoric, blame-games and candle light marches a panacea to this ailment?

I tried to find an answer to Chiku's query but failed

With no internet search could the right answer be nailed

I have failed but others might be more bright

If you find an answer, let me know the address of that website!
