Kapil Sibal is looking London and talking Tokyo on his diktat to Social Media!!!
After Google's Transparency Report on his objective we've got a very clear idea!!!

Time and again Kapil Sibal has said that on account of content that can incite religious strife and content that is anti India he has been asking Social Media platforms to expunge such content and to enforce procedures so that such content is not allowed in future!! But the real story is disclosed via the Google Transparency Report... most of what Indian Government has asked Google to expunge is criticism of the Government and Congress and its first family!! Did Kapil think that we would not come to know of this and he'd pass off censorship in the name of religion and Country's prestige???? Okay in Congress it may be blasphemous to criticize Sonia... but India's a Democracy and we have every right to criticize!!! And now US too has expressed surprise at World's Largest Democracy wanting Internet Censorship!!!

On A NDTV talk show Mani Shankar Aiyer simply lost it!!!!
Congress is wilting bit by bit!!!

Many would agree with me after viewing Mani's behaviour on NDTV that Madam Sonia's livid with the turn of events.... Mani's often mirrored her mood and stand!!! Mani called BJP blackmailers..... new terminology for those who do not agree with what Congress says or does!!! And then he made some very personal comments about Rudy and when Rudy laughingly tried to make a point Mani flew into a rage and walked away!! Mani blames NDA for freeze in Governance reforms...fact is if there is no reform in Governance it is Congress's fault!!! Has Congress done anything on Governance Reforms in UPA 1 or 2???? Journo Swapan Dasgupta has been on the receiving end.... he and Mani participated on a talk show on a talk show on NDTV and Mani's been downright rude and acerbic with Swapan!! In fact if you look at it Mani's mindset is ' it's my way or I'll kick and insult you to the highway'!!!

Swamy too like Team Anna has paid the price for taking on Congress!!
Though it's not going to give Swamy any stress!!

Harvard has discontinued Swamy's summer lectures!! Harvard has cited an article penned by Swamy and opined that his views are reprehensible!!! Initially Harvard had refused to take action citing 'free speach'!!! But seems Harvard has faced extreme pressure and Swamy's been shown the door!! Many of his students has expressed shock.... one has even said 'is this America'???? I hear some say it's been done because Congress got its arm is US to send in numerous letters demanding Swamy's expulsion.... they say Montek also played a pivotal role.... ole boy network!! Congress will soon realize its folly..... for a few months Swamy got out of Congress's hair..... now he'll not be visiting Harward and will spend his time 'literally plaiting Congress's hair'!!!

I think it's time for PC to quit!!!
To sit in HM's chair he is both morally and technically unfit!!

Swamy's got the Court's permission to question ex Joint Secretary Finance and Joint Director CBI...... many would agree PC's goose is cooked!!!! Of course Congress will back PC..... but PC will have to go!!!! His continuance will be unsustainable!! You have Kursheed saying 'PC is very valuable to Government'..... I look at as balm from the Party for a Minister who will 'axe himself from the Cabinet'!!! Why PM too may have some stellar words for him...again balm!!! Bottom line is ...can Indian have a Home Minister who faces corruption charges.... and who will be questioned by CBI ... technically CBI does come under him!!!!

PS.... in a KF flight the Pilot announced ' We have not received our salary for two months and we fly you out of our sense of duty'!!! Any guess why does Congress want UP elections to be held last....???? Will EC oblige??? Joke..... Kursheed's statements have elicited following comment ..... is he the Law Minister or Anti Law Minister??? BJP MPs to declare we do not have black money......and we shalt take this oath by BJP MPs with a sack full of salt! Dada says 'FDI decision was right but we did not want mid term elections'.... meaning.... we know we are on the way out and we would like to complete our term in Office'!!!

Cameras and attendance machine could extend reduce corruption

Installation of hidden video cameras and biometric attendance machine could to great extend reduce corruption. Keeping the Group 'C' employees out of the purview of the Lokpal should not hinge on an election process in a state. The group 'C' employees to a great extent spread the impression of the functioning of government. Nobody would like to take a risk.

Out of sync with present day realities

I regret to say that views expressed by ML Gupta are totally out of sync with the present day realities. For how long, we will continue to be afraid of competition and open markets. If we had followed the left ideology of close markets, there would have been no Indian IT growth. India would not have been in the reckoning of being a superpower but we would have continued to be a country of pied pipers. The opposition to FDI in retail smacks of the same mentality wherein the interests of middlemen were kept ahead of the interests of the farmers and consumers. Gupta may like to consider that even if the retail stores would have initially opened up in 53 cities, their sourcing of food items would have been from rural India thus making the farmers a direct beneficiary. I do hope that Govt. will be strong enough to expose us to competition so that the monopoly of our middlemen could be broken up. Increase in inflation is nothing but a result of these vested interests who are raising prices at will keeping in view the improved purchasing power of the common men.

RTI

Should the Property returns be disclosed?

The applicant sought the copies about the movable and immovable property returns of an IAS Officer for a particular period. The PIO consulted the officer in terms of the provisions of Section 11 of the RTI Act. The officer objected to giving the details stating that the property file returns is purely a personal matter and is not related with any public activity or interest. In line with the view taken by the CIC in numerous decisions in the past, the Commission upheld the decision of the PIO not to disclose such information. The CIC has consistently held that the immovable property returns filed by officers are their personal information and should not be ordinarily disclosed. Section 8 (1)(j) of the RTI Act exempts such information from disclosure. The CIC observed that in recent months, on their own several state governments have published the immovable property returns filed by the All India Service officers in their respective websites. Therefore, the Commission directed the CPIO to ascertain from the State Government of Uttar Pradesh about this and disclose the information to the Complainant provided such returns have already been published by the State Government.

Comments

Immovable Property Return (IPR) of a government servant is a personal information and is not liable for disclosure under the RTI Act.
