Going by PM's take that Indians are eating too much, stomach stapling of the poor would fit his innovate for the poor call... do away with the cause of their woes... and that is hunger!!! India loses humungous amount of foodgrain from farm to fork.... and add to this the humongous profiteering from farm to fork... innovate here!! Plug the leakages in the subsidy delivery!!!! Technology is there but will is simply not there!!!

The Congressmen who ran up to beat the protestors at Rahul's Chopper landing site did this for gaining brownie points!!!! Footage clearly shows the protestors at Rahul's Chopper site had been felled by the Cops and were being beaten with lathis when Rahul's cutlery ran up to the fallen protestors and started kicking them!!! Chalo this was expected from Tiwari but not from Jiten..... he's a Cabinet Minister and should have maintained decorum!! And Congress's fib that they feared threat to Rahul's life is hogwash because by the time Tiwari and Jiten ran up to kick the protestors it was clear that these protestors were just there to wave black flags and sloganeer!! Digvijay had said that these protestors were students of Allahabad University and today he says this was a milli bhagat of BSP and SP!!! And now a defamation case has been filed against Rahul in Mumbai... very rightly.... very demeaning to UPites who are working hard to make a living in Mumbai!!! And now Maya has queered the pitch with her 'divide UP into four States'!! Of course if this does take place it'll take a few years, but the effect of her proposal will have immediate effect!! Congress especially is in a fix.... though they are putting up a brave face!!

Every attempt is being made to save 2 G's Q!!!!! CBI Court ordered CBI to handover a file that CBI has been hiding to Swamy.... but the file was not handed and Swamy had to go to Court to get the file.... now Court has ordered CBI to handover the file in 2 days!!!! Will CBI handover the complete file or will Swamy get an 'edited' file????? But here there is a twist in the tale as its rumoured that Swamy has a copy of the file.... however he wants the file 'officially' from CBI!!! And what is wrong for PAC Chairman to request CAG to 'hurry up'....... Congress is trying to show this request as interference...... going by the adage 'choron ko saare nazar aathe hai chor'... those who interfere term others as interferers... and Bofors shows how Congress interfered and to the similarity between Bofors and 2 G!!! My take is that despite CBI's best efforts 2 G's Q will face the music soon!!

PS.... Mayawathi they say has chosen three of her statues to rule 3 States being carved out of UP... fourth State she will rule herself!! They say Mukesh is interested in buying KF from Mallya..... toy for him.... and if this happens KF will lose its 'red' color.... Mukesh is partial to 'blue'!! By the way it was providential that Mallya chose red as KF's color.... it's been in red right from the start!! Have you noted that of late Corporate India are speaking up against UPA...... Congress is comparing the list of those who have done so with those who attended the Vibrant Gujarat Conclave!!

Has UPA missed another opportunity for oil reforms?
Nobody is in any doubt that the oil price cut has been forced at the behest of Ms. Mamta Banerjee and not by any real fall in crude oil prices, as R. P.N. Singh claims. UPA-II has missed another opportunity to restructure the tax regime and fix the mess of inefficiencies that the oil companies are in.

When will domestic oil prices rise?
The next opportunity to raise prices of Oil will come in December, when wholesale prices are likely to fall, as has been claimed.

Has UPA missed the bus on oil pricing?
It is a case of bad politics compounding the problem of bad economics. Between 2004 and 2008, when the economy was booming, any oil price increase and cuts in subsidies could have been absorbed easily by the corporate sector. The government did not hike the oil price then. In June this year, the government raised diesel, kerosene and cooking gas prices to reduce losses of oil companies' by Rs 51,000 crore. But it also hurt its own purse by reducing customs and excise duties by almost the same amount - Rs 49,000 crore, thereby, making it revenue neutral.

Procedure for empanelment is not transparent

The procedure for empanelment is non transparent and highly politicized. There are no clear citeria laid down for empanelment and the record of officers is interpreted irrationally e.g.officers who have held soft and cushy assignments in Raj Bhavans , international bodies are treated at par with those who have held difficult assignments in the field in remote areas. The grading of C.R.'s is also faulty . The list when finalized is not known and is changed at will. There is also no time frame for the process to be completed.

The feedback about Kiran Bedi is a statement of fact. In fact Kejriwal should also explain as to why he first transferred Anna's movement money to his account and when caught red handed, offered to return. Why he in first place accepted it. All is not well.

Don't bail out Kingfisher

It is rightly said by many, not to bailout Kingfisher Airlines from tax payer's money. Mallaya has already earned billions from various businesses, specially as a liquor baron. Business losses are ought to be borne by business man when all profits are also kept in their coffers. Spending Government money on business losses will encourage others to demand from goverment. As such the Government has made all villagers also kamchor by giving them money for no work through NAREGA. There fore, if one can live without doing work through such schemes, the whole country will eventually become Nikamma. Beware.

On bailouts to Kingfisher

There is a huge difference in the banking sector and every other sector in any country. The banking sector gets bailouts since everything else depends on this sector. Tomorrow if State Bank of India goes bankrupt, or there is a panic run on the bank, there will be huge turmoil in the overall economy. Every central bank in the world has tight control over banks, and ensures they are protected. No other private sector deserves a bailout, since the concerned business is responsible for their own profits and losses. If Vijay Mallya made silly decisions in running Kingfisher airlines, he and his shareholders deserve to suffer. Vayalar Ravi even mentioning this possibility is laughable. In fact, not just Kingfisher, even Air India should not get any bailout. Tomorrow if both Kingfisher and Air India close down, the broader economy would not be affected. Indigo airlines is the best in India today, and will take up the traffic. Indeed, Kingfisher illustrates the worst form of crony capitalism, and explains why Vijay Mallya wanted to become a member of parliament.

Free travel by police
The Applicant wanted to confirm whether a wireless message i.e. WTM dt. 15/16.09.1997 was issued by the then Chief Minister of Delhi allowing Delhi Police personnel to travel for free in Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) buses in contravention of the decision of the cabinet No. 259 dt. 28.06.1997. It was intimated to the Applicant that the records relating to the issue of WTM dated 15.09.1997 are not available with the office of the public authority. The Appellant claimed that the Delhi Police personnel are still travelling free of charge on DTC buses resulting in loss of revenue amounting to over Rs. 60 crores annually. In view of the above unsettled dispute between the Delhi Police and the DTC, the CIC recommended that the Principal Secretary, Transport Department, Government of NCT of Delhi settle this dispute between the two organizations decisively through an order or notification by December end. The CIC also directed the PIO to file an affidavit before the Commission - with a copy to the Appellant - affirming that the public authority has no document authorizing the Delhi Police Personnel to travel free on DTC buses.
