Aaj Ki Aawaz

Anna ki jeeth!!!

Netas karr rahe hai seethe!!

Though technically the Netas conceded very little..... in fact Sharad Yadav and Laloo heckled Anna and his lot in their speeches...... but in the end they too agreed with conceding to Anna's demand!!!! Without a doubt no Neta worth his or her salt wants a Lokpal...... yes they are all for a Jokepal!!!! A Lokpal would indeed be the start of the end to their 'fun and games'!!!! After all what is their objective of being in power????? Their submissions on their assets to EC show the phenomenal rise in their assets....just the tip of the iceberg is revealed......so you can imagine the increase in what's not 'shown'!!!!! Congress tried to dent the numbers by getting majority minority Leaders and Maya to stop Muslims and Dalits to lend support to this movement!! Congress forgot that when people see poop on the road, then be they of any caste or creed their reaction is just the same....so people's reaction is the same to the poop that they see in the Indian political establishment!! Anna and his lot have won this battle but there is a war ahead!!!! So Anna Ji fatten up because you will have to undertake a few more fasts before Jan Lokpal Bill becomes a reality...... keep in mind Netas have not 'given up hope yet'!!

Rahul lost out on an opportunity to show his mettle!!!!

The Nation his 'interruption' during zero hour sure did nettle!!!

Had he been so absorbed in this issue he would not have read out his speech during zero hour but would have spoken extempore!! This was a drama staged for Rahul..... Priynaka's presence when Rahul made this speech shows this! Rahul's think tank conjured up this plan and it fell flat on its face!!!! So bad was the fallout that next day Rahul did not even show up in Parliament...... standard procedure that he follows whenever he flops!!! And Speaker Meira Kumar sure flouted procedures by allowing Rahul to read out a five page sermon to the House!!!!!

PC and Sibal are in the doghouse!!!!!

And fire once again Congress's trusted fire fighter did douse!!!

Not that both did not try to create more fires but seems they were put in place!!!! PC went into a sulk and Sibal shamelessly kept smiling and showing he's relevant!! PC's son even tweeted and got a slamming from Tweeters!!!! PC's son like Laloo was surprised as to how a 74 year old Anna could fast for so long..... hinting that Anna' s fast was a put on and slyly he was being given replenishments!!! And how can I forget Manish Tiwari....... the man had literally gone berserk insulting Anna and then he went berserk apologizing...... hope he's permanently removed from being Congress's bhonpoo!!!! Sheila Dixit did her bit..... drunkards and bottom pinchers were mobilized to give the protest at Ramlila Ground a bad name!!!! Ultimately it was Pranab Da who was called to do the needful and he delivered!!!!

PS....... China and N Korea are known to treat the health of their Leaders as a State Secret! Why are Gandhis following their example?? Priyanka has razed her house, that was being built near Shimla.......official expenditure incurred Rs. 30 lakhs so all Congressis should follow suit! And if you recall I had told you that Agnivesh is a Trojan Horse!!!!

DEBATE (1)

Send Army officials on deputation

Instead of formal entry of Army Officers in to IPS it is better that they come for 5 years sort of deputation as SP, SSP etc. Similarly IPS can also be sent to Arm Forces giving them one post less than their present designation. As they become DIG, IG very fast, so IG as Brig, DIG as Col and so on. Atleast 10% post can be filled like this.

Vinay

DEBATE(2)

It's an excuse

Shortage of IPS officers is merely an excuse. Army has much bigger shortage. Idea is to slowly militarise the leadership of police forces to combat Maoists and other groups who are increasingly getting alienated from the corrupt governments.

Narendra Sharma

DEBATE(3)

Good decision

Presently the government has taken a policy decision to have less permanent commission officers and more short service commission officers in the armed forces. This concept has perceived to give a second career to all the short service commissioned officers retiring from the armed forces after 10 years of commissioned service. Predominantly the officers while retiring will be major equivalent. The point which needs to be considered is the seniority of the officers has to be preserved while executing this concept.

DEBATE (4)

It will set a dangerous precedent

Entry of Defence Officers or for that matter officers from any stream into IAS/IPS/Central Gp A services through limited departmental exam or through any route other than open competitive exam will not only set a dangerous precedent but also be an injustice to civil(general public) candidates as the positions which rightfully belong to them are usurped by the privileged through backdoor. It will be next to impossible to revert back to the original system of recruitment to these coveted cadres of service even when so called shortage of IPS is over.

Debate (5)

Will GoI would oblige ?

This can be done only with concurrence of GoI. I wonder whether

GoI would oblige.

S M Shukla

DEBATE (6)

All civil servants should first serve in Defence services

Why IPS, why not all civil servants first serve the Defence services and then they should be inducted into the civil service through proper UPSC Examination so that they have some discipline, national character and are matured too.

Kudos to whispers for its openness to opinions

This has reference to the comment of N Sriram. There was no opinion appearing in this forum against him for him to complaint. So whose pseudonymn is he! He also says that the officers are not able to defend themselves. What prevents them from defending themselves, except of course if there is no truth in the self-promotional planted news on their behalf!

Whispers derives its strength not in the self-promotional items which are out of place here, but in predicting genuine postings and boldly stating later that 'We said this on such and such date'.

John Thomas

Is this proper conduct of a minister?

During the Video conferencing with heads of circles, Kapil Sibbal was so exasperated at Secretary Posts that he reprimanded her in full view of all circle heads. Everyone knows Sibbal does not likes Secretary Posts who is in vulnerable position because complaint against her, about irregularities of massive scale in INDEPEX which the accounts wing has highlighted, is being inquired by the Cabinet Secretary. There are complaints of favoring officers from S of Vindhyas and all such officers are accommodated and given good posting in large metro cities while secretary post is having autocratic functioning and everyone stiffled in suffocating work environment in postal headquarters. It is also very much wrong for Sibbal to lose his cool and scold her before the Postal Board and Chief PMGs and Directors.

Anna taken for a ride !

Poor Anna has been taken for a ride by Bedi, Kejriwal and Prashant. Thank god, he has sidelined them and got other advisers. This situation would not have arisen if these guys were not there negotiating in the first place, their inexperience in such matters showed. The inadequacies of the police commissioner system have been fully exposed. In our traditional system, the DM would have represented the state and talks would have been smoother.

Subash Sharma

Lokpal or Lokayukt will not solve the problem

Lokpal or Lokayukt will not solve the problem as these will again be filled up with retired Judiciary, IAS, IPS and CSS officers who toe the line of the Government in power. Issue of corruption will remain as usual. They will find fault with honest people and punish them.

D S N Murthi

Where was Rahul so long?

Now Rahul Gandhi is talking about a constitutional body like CEC to combat corruption. Where was he so long? Why this idea was not coming to his mind. The people in power have amassed huge wealth at the cost of poor. They provide cheap rice/ wheat to the poor people to survive to vote them to power. Now things have changed. If you want to serve the people think what you should legally get nothing beyond that. Now Anna has shown the path. Agitation would continue till the people are free from corruption.

DPS is a Public Authority

Information related to admission made by the Delhi Public School (DPS), Rohini under the policy framework specified by the Department of Education (DoE) for the academic year 2010-2011 was denied claiming that since it is an Unaided Private Institution, the RTI Act is not applicable to the school. The CIC noted that 10,000 sq. mtrs. of land was allotted to the School by the DDA at a nominal rent of Rs. 10/- per annum while another 6000 sq. mtrs. have been allotted at concessional rate of Rs. 65 lacs per acre. The CIC observed that the terms and conditions of service of employees of DPS are as per the norms of DoE and the School enjoyed exemption from Income Tax on its earnings. The presence of two nominees from the DoE in the Managing Committee indicated the Government control in the running and administration of the DPS. The CIC held that the DPS, Rohini fulfills the essential elements of being called a 'Public Authority'.

Comments

Getting a child admitted in a good school has been very difficult for the residents of Delhi. Hopefully, this order would usher in transparency in the working of the educational institutes in the country who shall now be bound to designate PIOs.
