What people say about us !
For the last 5 years, I have been regularly enriching my knowledge on various issues of national importance and concern besides getting to know in advance about the possible movements both in the bureaucracy and the political establishment. You are indeed doing a great service to India and we Indians.

With certainty about your resources; knowledge and rich experience, I suggest you may indentify honest and sincere people in the Government and Political field and highlight their achievements.

I can contribute by naming a politician from Orissa, Shri Mangala Kisan of BJD is a Rajya Sabha Member. He was 6-7 times MLA also earlier. He is one of the best examples of honesty. As a Minister of Water Resources in the State, I recall he never had even a pucca house. The nation should salute such living politicians.

Aaj Ki Aawaz

This Meet the Editors that Mohna undertook was in all probability on the orders of High Command.......she was advised by her 'think tank' that Mohna's silence was making people think that Mohna is not in agreement with what is going on and so he's keeping mum...... not like the ole days when he issued clean chits left, right and centre!!! He may go blue in the face saying he's not a lameduck PM ...... the definition of lameduck is : a lame duck is an elected official (Rajya Sabha MPs are elected indirectly) who is approaching the end of his or her tenure, and especially an official whose successor has already been elected..... I think this definition 'fits Mohna 100%'....... though some would contest this and say he's not a lameduck PM but a sitting duck PM......both would be courtesy Madam Sonia!! On the Cabinet reshuffle as Mohna himself has very little knowledge he just put up verbally placard ' work under progress'...... he' still not sure if Maran will be dropped!!!! Mohna says he's got maximum cooperation from Madam and that she's done a superb job and either Madam has ordered him to say this or he has Madam's permission to say this........ Mohna is habituated to marking his own exam papers...... wasn't his Report Card for UPA a classical and hilarious example...... his self praise has Editors sniggering!!

He made it clear that he's not the Boss!!!!

PM's authority has gone for a toss!!!

Mohna said Media cannot be accuser, prosecutor and judge......the same taunt was made by Manu Sharma's family prior and after he was sentenced and also by Ram Jethmalani in his bail arguments for Manu!!! Media just highlights the wrongs and demands action.... this cannot be construed as accusing, prosecuting and judging!! Take the 2 G revelations ..... first Government denied any wrongdoing..... then when investigation was demanded Congress tried every trick in the book to block investigation.... when matters went from bad to worse and cover up was no longer possible investigations started........ arrests were made under 'extreme duress'......... and now you know why Government wanted PAC to look into this scam..... because Congress knew it would be in a position to handle matters!!

Media needs to tell UPA that Media does its job of highlighting and demanding action!!

It's the UPA that is responsible for fibbing, adopting delaying tactics, cover ups and inaction!!!

Mohna said strong Lokpal must but Lokpal is not a panacea..... well my take is that as Netas are so opposed to a strong Lokpal its pretty obvious that a strong Lokpal would dent their objectives to be in power....power and money...... so if Lokpal is not a cure Lokpal sure is very strong medicine........ both preventive and cure to some extent!!! As Anna knows that Sonia's the biggest impediment in this Lokpal Bill he's sought and appointment with her..... mind you he's not meeting Mohna!!!!! And Mohna ji nobody resents Ramdev's eviction ... it's the helpless gullible Public that faced wrath of the Cops is what rankles us!!!! And its Congress that gave legitimacy to Anna's Civil Society...... now Public has accepted Anna and his lot as their reps for a strong Lokpal!!!! And in case Mohna Ji you have any doubts step out of your citadel and ask the common man on the street 'aren't Netas also a part of Civil Society' and I'm sure you'll get responses of which 99% will not be civil.....though many would say calling a thief a thief is not being uncivil!!!!

The more our Netas try to hoodwink us on the Lokpal Bill the more they make it clear!!

That a strong Lokpal is causing amongst them fear!!!

On the chewing gum attack on MoF Mohna said it's a close chapter.....till some recording surfaces!!! Rather than being worried and taking action this Government is in denial because of politics!! If you ask me Pranab Da 'has been silenced by the Party' and the Congress's fire fighter turned the hose on himself!!! We all know about the turf wars going on in Congress..... Congressmen see a power famine for at least five years staring them in the face post the next general election and many of them want to 'fatten apna apna kitty'!!! Also Sonia's hold on the Party is slipping.......some Congressmen now feel that Rahul has been grossly overrated..... he is not a 'panacea' for Congress's woes...... he in fact is one of the causes for Congress woes!!!

At the bottom of a lot of the stupidities Congress has indulged in is PC's advice!!!!

Paying heed to advice of a Jalebi called PC is unwise!!!

BJP would be hoping that in the next general election Congress position Rahul 'for the top job'!!!

Congress does this and BJP will feel it's got in its 'hand on the door to power ka knob'!!!!

On inflation Mohna spoke little....... Economist PM has proved to be a flop in guiding the Indian Economy!!!!! Or maybe our PM is using reverse psychology to cool down inflation.... let prices rocket and people will stop buying and thus prices will fall!!! He has no control whatsoever on the games that the Agri Mantri in his Cabinet plays!!! The Agri Ministry has indeed proved totally inept when it comes to India and Indians interests....... yes Agri Ministry is the darling of profiteers... legal and illegal!!!

Mohna sipped green tea and chomped on biscuits and titbits!!!

Inflation rages despite the fact that in the PM's chair an Economist of repute sits!!!

PS..... marks the Editors gave to Mohna ...... 2/10..... Remarks..... if Sonia got Manmohan Singh to 'Meet the Editors' then Manmohan Singh continues to be misused and he's to blame because he allows this.....and if this was his own initiative then sorry to say Manmohan Singh has metamorphosed into a Indian Neta!!!

Pakistan : Non reibursement of medical claim for treatment in India
Lahore High Court has taken up a petition filed by a retired government officer of Pakistan's Punjab against non reimbursement of medical expenses incurred for treatment of his dependent daughter in an Indian super speciality hospital. Dr Sajjad Hussin's daughter Sara was referred by Lahore's Sheikh Zayed Hospital for liver transplant in any neighbouring country as the facility was not available in Pakistan. Sara was treated at Delhi's Apollo Hospital in April 2010 and a reimbursement claim of over Rs 47 lakhs hasn't been so far cleared by the provincial government. Rejecting the government counsel's plea that such reimbursements for treatment abroad have been banned since 1997 the court has asked the government counsel to submit details of all government servants whose reimbursement claims for treatment abroad have been cleared since 1997 and explain why Dr Sajjad's claim has been treated differently.

Problems faced by technical cadre of Income tax dept.

The technical cadre of Income tax department in India, especially the Data Processing Assistant (A/B) cadre, are faced with a host of problems. Several legal matters are pending with different CAT/Court across the country on Seniority issues like seniority in respect of directly recruited Asst. Directors(Systems) in 1994 and those promoted as Asst. Directors from Programmer Assistant/Console Operators (PACOs) of 1989. Seniority issue also exists with directly recruited DPAs in 1996 and former PACOs & DEOs of 1989. Because of this pending litigation matters, many technical persons in both AD (Systems) and DPA (A/B) are have still not received a single promotion even after completing 14 to 16 years.

The other problems include improper work allocation to the technical cadre while most of the technical work has been outsourced by the department, improper distribution of technical strength in different states. While some computer centres are manned single handedly by DPAs, many small computer centres have many DD( Sys.)/AD(Sys.) etc. Besides, there is no transfer policy for executive level posts in technical cadres.

Also, the DPAs were not allowed by the income tax department to apply for employment in other departments/ organizations or go for deputation in other departments etc., for better career avenues. Many of technical personnel were denied NOC (No objection certificate) by the department for attending the Interviews by other department/organizations.

Add to it, during the cadre re-structuring of the department in 2001, almost every staff member of the department benefited in one way or the other through pay benefits and/or promotions but the technical cadre was not even considered though the cadre re-structuring was done citing comprehensive computerization.

Finally, the cadre review of the Incometax Department is going to take place soon. Even though the picture is not clear, there is a buzz that this cadre review also neglects the technical cadres.

DOP&T's step motherly treatment

"CS-II Division of DOP&T, responsible for restructuring of CSSS cadre has given step motherly treatment to those members of CSSS (employees) who retired as PS, Steno Gr. 'C' and Steno Gr. 'D' in January 2011 and February 2011 by denying them the benefit of restructuring i.e. ad-hoc promotion while the persons who retired on 31st March, 2011 have been benefited.

The Union Cabinet decided on 20.1.2011 to create additional posts of PPS and the same was notified by DOPT on 27/1/2011 and allocation was also made to various Ministries/Departments but the orders giving effect to the said decision were issued as late as on 29th March, 2011 thus depriving the benefit of promotion to those who retired in January and February, although they were eligible otherwise being very senior in the relevant select lists covered under the said restructuring.

As restructuring process has almost been completed, DOPT may consider giving benefit of promotion to such unlucky employees who retired after the decision of the Cabinet in January 2011 and February 2011. As this is a life long financial loss these individuals are forced to bear due to time consumed by CS-II Division in implementing the Cabinet decision and thus denying promotion, it is requested that a favourable decision may be taken on this anomaly".

Misuse of manpower and vehicles by supervisory officers

Misuse of manpower and vehicles by supervisory officers of Police is astounding. This is true for both state police and the central paramilitary forces. Any voice of dissent is quelled in the name of discipline. The expenditure is covered in the name of "Operations". Even the earmarked funds for police modernisation are being used for building the comfort level of a few.

Mystery behind Ramdev's action !

Those who have enormous assets are bound to have some thing to hide. They will become mince meat for the Congress? dirty trick department and their servile investigation agencies. They can easily snare their victims for under valuation of properties, foreign exchange violation etc and under innumerable laws. Bhushans escaped since they have nothing to hide. And Congress will not dare to do the trick on Anna. But our business man Swamy Ramdev is different. With thousands of crores of assets, how can he rub the Government on the wrong side? It is better for him to understand the biblical saying 'He that is among you without synne, let him cast the first stone'. Naturally people think he is a Congress plant. Otherwise why should he after running away from Delhi like a rat and ending his fast as a joke come back to Delhi other than for stealing the thunder from Anna's agitation and that also when Anna is getting ready for the final show down? Is it not to help the Government?

The shoe missiles fired by journalists became a rage all over the world. The latest episode was reported from a reporter in Delhi. He did not hurl the shoe at Janardhan Dwivedi of the Congress party but merely waved the same at him!
