Cops are putting the blame for Cash for Votes on Hindustani and Saxena...... why did they need to undertake this 'slap on Democracy's face'!!! Who gained from Cash for Votes????? Could Hindustani and Saxena afford to undertake Cash for Votes???? It's pretty clear that Cops conclusion that Cash for Votes was a Hindustani and Saxena 'production' is laughable!!!! Cops say they grilled Amar Singh for four hours...... what a joke!!!! Amar regaled the interrogators with Bollywood stories.... both veg and non veg...... and he kept making and receiving calls on his mobile!!! Meanwhile Saxena and Hindustani are in Tihar...... I'm sure both must be worried sick about being 'bumped off'!!

We all know who from the Congress produced this drama and who directed it!!!

And we also know how into this drama Amar, Saxena and Hindustani fit!!

Yeddy must go.....Advani is as usual trying to be a bit too smart..... Ghadkari is too busy stuffing his gob..... Jaitley is too busy with cricket..... Sushma is in a tizzy hoping the Bellary Bros taint does not taint her image..... and she reduced her stress level by dancing to Punjabi 'shaadi' songs!!! BJP is Bharatiya Jammed Party..... jammed up!!! If BJP thinks it can spare the rod on Yeddy and beat UPA with the same rod then BJP's got it wrong!!! In the meantime Yeddy with his family is on Mauritian Holiday.....it was a 'timed' holiday!! Anyway BJP's antics provide much needed relief for Public in such stressful times!!!!!

Bharatiya Jokers Party of BJP is living up to its naam!!!!!

Public ka hasaana hai jokers ka kaam!!!

Karuna will ultimately Will his succession!!! Why should he kick start a war within DMK by naming a successor!! They say Stalin is blaming Alagiri and Kanimozi for DMKs' fall..... and Alagiri is blaming Dayanidhi saying he started it all!! What worries Karuna most is what will be Jaya's next move be!!!! DMK family is to blame for its woes!!!! What really perplexes is that did they think they'd get away with such choris?????

Power does strange things to those it afflicts!!!

Powers makes minds go wonky and makes people into 'convicts'!!

First Raja wanted to attend Parliament......now Kalmadi wants to attend Parliament!! At most they should be allowed to view the live Telecast that we get to see!! As long as they are in Tihar they should not be allowed to attend Parliament.... once they are out on bail they can attend Parliament....... Parliament should be out of bounds for jailbirds !! Maybe they'll get support from Bhai Digviyaya Singh!!!!! If they are allowed to attend Parliament Balwa and Morani will say they should be allowed to attend Office!!

Kalmadi tries to show he may be in the slammer but he still has power!!!

And after Digvijaya's support we all know from where he draws his power!!

Rahul chooses not to comment on vital issues!!! This is more because of 'self preservation'!!! He avoids Media discussions like plague...... he'd not last a minute on any discussion panel!! He cannot take him prompters and minders on discussion shows and on his own he is a classical ' Alice in Wonderland'!! Viewing his shortcomings the only way he can become PM is via the parachuting in the PM's chair!! He too will be a kind of puppet PM........ surrounded by minders who will help him to make up his mind.....their way!!!

PS........ the land acquisition policy up to now was unfair.... and now Sarkaar is making it ludicrous. Acquirers will have to pay 20% of land appreciation for a decade to the Farmers.......ludicrous!! NAC Members lack realism and this is the biggest impediment in NAC fulfilling its role...... it is afflicted with pandering to the gallery!!! Its sole objective is to allow Sonia to legitimately interfere in Sarkaar's work and keep the Gandhi family flag flying!!

Refreshingly different

The observations of Chaudhry on current Corruption scenario are refreshingly different. The Anna / Baba and Co. will never appeal to general public and their supporters to shun Corrupt practices because then entire support sytem to the agitation will collapse in no time. If they are really serious about Corruption as an issue and not UPA bashing, then they should ask the supporters /opposition leaders, to do three things. 1. Opt for Compulsary auditing of their IT and other financial returns 2. Allow their accounts to be put up on Net for open access to public and 3. Quote their PAN numbers while supporting any mail based/ sms based/signing any referendum in support of the anti corruption crusade. This will ensure that only non corrupt people are in the forefront. The case of Kiran Bedi mentioned is an apt one. Its likely that current millions of numbers of supporters may not cross even four figures.

In fact, during next fasting/agitation by Activists, Govt. too rather than lathi charges or any other harsh measure, should start noting down above details of the participants ---the lawyers, movie stars, businessmen, builders, etc. and after quick scrutiny, share their assets/income details with Public and enjoy the resultant scenario.

WIC's editors should scissor unabashed encomiums

Bhalla's laudatory about Pullock Chatterjee is well taken. But instead of using panegyrical and flattering words like 'remarkable', 'creating adventure', 'fabulous', 'sincere , 'rarest of the rare' etc ,it would have been better if he has mentioned a few of the contributions made by Chatterjee when he was in the PMO earlier. To me as a civil servant, Chatterjee is one of the privileged bureaucrats and a favourite of the 'high command' and his career graph shows it. I feel your editors should use their prerogative to scissor our such unabashed encomiums.

Intellectuals and eminent public figures in poor light

The unravelling of Gulam Nabi Fai enterprise has shown once again many so called intellectuals or eminent public figures in poor light. That they would not mind selling their conscience for free juncket and having good time abroad. Many of them now professing their ignorance about the ISI-links of their host in America. Can one believe it? As the name indicates the Kashmir American Council had everything to do with Kashmir and the man running the show being from Kashmir and having Pakistani links would certainly be promoting Pakistan line on Kashmir. Sheer commonsense. The fact of the matter is that many of our 'civil society' members just abuse the freedom and rights which our country as democracy bestows on them. It pays them to be anti-Indian. One of the small-time owner of a newspaper of the troubled state became a media baron in publishing by abusing his country in every forum specially on the Pakistani soil or such seminars or conferences circuit. He had been a regular guest in Fai's party. The defence given by a retired judge, who too enjoyed this agent's hospitality ,on a TV channel last night was so hollow that it was difficult to accept it. How can one be not motivated to support the cause of one's hospitable host who gave you a wonder-ful trip to America with all expenses paid .Many of us are small persons and are willing to sell our country for such favours. The sad part is that we in Government trust these very fellows to study and report on the issues crucial to governance ,integrity and sovereignty of the nation. Mark that one of the interlocuters currently engaged in Kashmir problem had also been a guest of Fai!

Age of Army Chief

This matter has been engaging the government for some time past. Why it has come up near the time of retirement? The entry at the NDA exam form consonant with the then matriculation board's exam should have been followed. If it would have been a case of some junior defence personnel, it would have been rejected by Army chief Singh himself.

Ram Kanwar

Probably, Gen V.K is too straight to be bent by the corrupt Indian political class.

Old Soldier

Pay Scales Of Chief Commissioners/Commissioners

The CBDT/CBEC must be ashamed that their officers of 28 years service are in PB IV whereas their ineffective counterpart services like forest, police etc are placed in the scale of 75000-80000.Where is the spineless IRS Association?

RTI

Claiming exemption as the third party

Certain information about a property assessment was refused by the PIO claiming that the owner of the property had opposed disclosure of the information to the applicant. Since no grounds were advanced as per Section 8(1) of the RTI Act to justify the denial of information, the Commission did not accept the objection of third party and directed to provide the information.

Comments

When a citizen applies for information which has been provided by or is related to a third party, it can be denied only if it is exempted under Section 8(1) or Section 9. Section 11 merely requires the PIO to seek the objections of the third party and keep them in view while deciding whether to release the information as per the provisions of the RTI Act. Many PIOs fail to do so even 5 years after the enactment of the RTI Act due to ignorance and lack of proper training. The third parties too remain ignorant of their rights and fail to defend their case.
