Aaj Ki Aawaz

In the past when Anna wrote letters to Sonia she ignored the letters!!! After not getting a response ultimately Anna during his fast wrote to Sonia and Mohna and released the letters to the Press...... lo and behold.... he got a response!!! So this time Anna took the precaution and releasing to the Press the letter he penned to Sonia about Congress Leaders defaming him and other Civil Society Members!!!!! Sonia is being advised wrongly .........yes Congress has sent the message via Ramdev's eviction that Government can use muscle power....... but what Congress seems to forget is that Anna is not Ramdev and she needs to realize when the Constitution was written no one could imagine in their wildest dreams that corruption would take such proportions....... but then they say 'talking of tackling corruption to Netas' is like blowing a 'been in front of a bhains' and may I point out Sonia is a Neta too.....metamorphosed into a real crafty one!!!! Congress is trying to put BJP in the hot seat now...... BJP is going to say how come Congress now wants BJP to be part of the Lokpal Bill...... though this is a fact that BJP too is interested in a toothless Lokpal!! Come 2014, if not earlier, Congress is going to pay the price for 'its games'...... Madam ji Public sabh dekthi hai aur sabh jaanthi hai...... socho Madam Ji...... and go by your gut feeling and not what PC and Sibal say...... this duo is known to mislead!!!

Sonia's biting more that she will be able to chew!!!!!

Cooking Congress's stew!!!

Now Meneka says Sonia's stashed money in Italy.....if that be the case and doing some calculations of my own based on news reports Italy could confer on Sonia its highest civilian award!!! Maybe this is the reason why Italy has been able to weather the economic downturn better than what was being anticipated!!! But I doubt this......that's the location!!! Forget where the money is Meneka saying that Sonia has 'black money' is like proof from a onetime insider!!! Will Sonia sue Meneka..... I think not!!! She'll let 'clawing cats lie' ........would not like to use the original adage 'let barking dogs lie' as Meneka is a Lady....... Meneka would not mind the 'cat' twist to the proverb as she's an animal lover.... and Congress's Maverick Spokesman will say ' Sonia's not reacting as she's behaving like a family elder..... after all Meneka still has the Gandhi surname'.......... clap..... clap.... clap (sic)!!!!

Sonia and Meneka's relationship hits a new low!!!!!

And this is causing the info flow!!!

In Punjab people are shocked at Amrinder's and Sukhbir's cordiality with each other!!!! So is Punjab back to the olden days........ no questions asked about each other's corruption????? Prior to Amrinder all Congress CMs shared this cordiality with Badal and vice versa!!! Though some say this is a temporary truce and very soon both will be at each other's throats!!!! Amrinder is still not very sure about getting to nod from Sonia........his own wifey is a dark horse in the race for CM if Congress comes to power!! Manpreet Badal has everything crossable crossed hoping he'll be 'the spoiler' and possible Kingmaker!! By the way Manpreet says he is a huge fan of Anna....... but I'm sure Anna will not have reciprocal feelings..... Anna's got an allergy to Netas and then certain surnames make him get the hives.......Gandhi, Abdullah, Badal, Chautala, Pawar/Sule, Thackrey etc. For Anna's kindly glance and for gaining credibility will Manpreet change his surname......Manpreet Gidherbha (name of his village) or Manpreet Punjab .... showing that he considers entire Punjab like his village!!!

Lady CM would indeed be an example to Punjabis that the girl child can go places!!!!

When birth of a girl child is announced to a family they'd not have horror on their faces!!!

The Mauritian route is under the scanner...... Mohna as FM signed this agreement..... of course he'll say at that time there were other strategic concerns ....... I'm sure he would not have visualised at that time that this Agreement would be so blatantly abused......... not that he did not have an idea that inflows would be abundant...... but then at that time India was starved for inflows!!! When the news of this treaty came out in the News yesterday (June 20) the Sensex and Nifty slumped...... some shares fell like a rock....... think ED needs to study this minutely!!!

India is the butt of the joke called the Mauritian route!!!!

70% of the inflows are from those jinno ne Nation ko kiya hai loot!!!

Yes Rahul should take over Congress and let Mom be a kind of Chairman Emeritus..... advisory role!!!!! But then there are those who say he simply doesn't have it to lead Congress or become PM....... his track record up to now points to this......and there's no crash course that can help him out!!!!! His dramas...... his not taking issues he takes up to logical conclusions..... and his ducking out of sight when things get hot all stack up against him!!! He's also a decent guy and I think basically he's a misfit for the scum that's in Indian Politics..... and believe me as President of Congress he's going to lose out more than gain!!!!

Happy belated or forthcoming birthdays to all MPs/GSs

Whenever I fed up to see news channels creating news (rather than informing news), I always prefer to switch to DD news for at least some authentic, genuine news. Yesterday (19.6.2011), during the news bulletins, one underlined news belonged regarding 41st birthday of Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi. As a layman I was just thinking, whether he is the only General Secretary within the Congress party or DD news has make it policy decision to inform about the birthdays of every General Secretary/Member of Parliament as one of the revelation of ?know your leader (KYL)? or am I right in assuming that the news was being telecast because he belongs to the first family of this country and the DD authorities have some grounds to achieve/compulsion by limelighting his birthday. This forum is requested to kindly put some light so that I can be enlighten myself not to see in this any contradiction. Just a few days back I have read this quotation ?Dream is Not that what u See in sleep. Dream is the thing which does Not allow you to sleep?. One case guess why I have mentioned this quotation with this subject.

Comments on CCL

Vinod Lalchandani?s comment is not targeted against common problem but it is only indicate his personal problem. When the govt. is giving quite a large concessions to women employees there should not be any grievience. When a women employees who had already taken their full quota of CCL of two years where is the necessity of getting further concessions. His comment also highlights that women employee who are above the age of 50 also needs rest. Could you find any place/organisations in the world where such concessions are available. What about the male employees who are not lucky enough to have their spouse in govt. service. Would any employer, except govt., give such concessions.

Mr Seth is not only seniormost officer but has an excellent image. He is calm and balanced too. GOI did right to appoint him as Cab Sec.

Lokpal Bill :
Request contributors to go to the internet sites floated by Civil Society. However, I feel that each one of us can atleast strive to make ONE person corruption free?

It is really sad to see the peculiar tactics used by the CPIOs of important organisations like CVC, MoD etc. Regarding a particular enquiry case, when I asked for certain information only under the possession of CVC, the CPIO concerned quietly transfers the query to the Min of Defence and the Min in turn transfers the query to DG Defence Estates. The interesting aspect is that the matter related to the inordinate delay caused by the DG DE in finalising the enquiries. When you want to know the action taken by the independent CVC and the Headquarters Min of Defence, both of them conveniently transfer the queries to the DG DE thus failing to do even their statutory duties. Who will bell the Cat ? They try to make even the RTI useless !

? DOP&T must decide with a logical mind, not an emotional heart !!!?

The media hype in support of a Thalassemia afflicted Civil services aspirant is unwarranted. Worse, the political support garnered in his favour by serving Ministers of the Congress-led UPA, is anathema to the concept of Good governance often preached by the Prime Minister to Civil servants. There is, unfortunately, a tendency in India to ignore experts? advice and decide issues on the basis of emotions rather than merit.

There could be several cases in the past where appointments into civil services might have been withheld for lesser or equally degenerative diseases. Relaxation in one case is bound to open a Pandora?s box of demands from similarly circumstanced for reviewing all previous cases and give them employment even at the belated stage. The GOI cannot decide the case in isolation as the same would have sweeping repercussions on scores of other organised services for which recruitments are made by the UPSC and the State Public Services Commissions. The Combined Medical Services examination conducted by the UPSC, would also be affected. Can we have a doctor who is physically challenged, visually handicapped or Thalassemia afflicted? This would be unjustified.
The DOP&T headed by the Prime Minister would be advised to refer the matter to the Medical Council of India for independent recommendations keeping in view the practices prevailing in other countries for facilitating taking a holistic view in the matter. I am surprised that views of two top government hospitals of Delhi (SJH and RML hospitals) are not being endorsed by PGI Chandigarh. Having served as Joint Secretaries in UPSC and DOP&T respectively in the Nineties, I find it difficult to visualise an isolated post in GOI to cover the present case.Thalassemia, attributed to genetic disorder, is accompanied by symptoms like aenemia, osteoporosis, liver function disorder, vulnerability to infection etc.It requires regular blood transfusion and medication as treatment.

If the motive for entering civil services by a candidate with pre-existing medical ineligibility, is to get the medical expenditure re-imbursed on regular basis besides paid leave, the case is liable to be rejected.

RTI

Copy of application of wife

The applicant asked for the copy of application form his wife had supposedly sent to the RBI including her educational certificate. The CPIO refused to disclose the information claiming that it was personal information as she had not been selected for the job and is not an employee of the RBI. The CIC upheld the order of CPIO holding that there was no apparent larger public interest to be served by disclosure. The CIC noted that there was nothing on record to show that the lady has authorized the Appellant to access this information.

Comments

This order shows that the Public Authority is not bound to disclose information about a job-seeker who is not his employee, even to her spouse.
