16 chewing gums in crucial places!!!! Is someone very high up in the Finance Ministry a chewing gum buff???? Also why did Pranab Da not write to PC who is the HM and why was IB not called to check the suspected bugging.... instead a Private Agency was called in by CBDT!!! Its well known that there is a war between Pranab Da and PC and this is one of the reasons why Mohna is 'fond of PC' ..... dushman ka dushman is a dost!!!! PC's fixation with the Finance Ministry is well known!!!! And then how can we forget PC's alleged deviousness...... the alleged election magic trick he performed!!! Congress's Janaki ' lying with a straight face' Natrajan says nothing is a amiss...... fact is a lot is amiss!!! India's Gumgate has blown up in Government's face and this has PC written all over it!!!!!

PC is devious ....... a Machiavellian bhagat!!!

Mohna is getting a bad name because of his sanagath??????

Realizing the gravity of the situation Government has postponed the start of the Monsoon Session of Parliament!! Government wants a Lokpal or what is now being called a Jokepal...... or a pally Lokpal!!!! PC and Kapil Sibal have done the needful..... not only drafted a watered down Lokpal Bill but also damned the Civil Society Members on the Panel!!!! Future generations of Indians will curse these two if the Government succeeds in instituting a Jokepal!!

Doh (two) shaane will end up as all shaane do always!!!!

For such shaanpathi every shaana pays!!

As per Karuna his Kani is special...... only natural ..... for all Fathers daughters are special!!!! What about the other Dads whose daughters are in jail........Sonia has already indulged in sheer ludicrousness by saying she's worried about Kani who is a woman and is in jail......okay she's the daughter of an ally who was crucial when she said this.... Sonia has never been bothered about other women in jail!!! Now Karuna says Kani is suffering from blisters........I think now at least Karuna's family will fear the law and the next time they come to power they'll think twice before indulging in anything unlawful! Jaya too would have taken note of Kani's case!!!! Though there are some who say Netas have hides that are thicker than a rhino's hide....... and with what has been robbed what are a few blisters and a few months in jail?????

Kani tried to get bail on the terms that the ex IMF President got bail!!!

Had she got it every VIP prisoner would have said 'I'll rent a home and you can make it my jail'!!

Become a Neta or Godmen and you can strike it rich in a short span of time....overnight is some cases!!! Both hoodwink the Public..... one we elect and one we follow and both let us down!! Recently two Godmen have hit dirt....... Ramdev and Satya Sai Baba!!! Why should a Godman stash such kind of wealth in his room?????? Government should take over these Ashrams..... what am I saying..... because then these would come under the control of the other 'deceivers'.... Netas!!

On this side stand thugs and on the other side thieves!!!

Or you can say each one of them is like a spider .....a web of deceit each one of them weaves!!

Next Lok Sabha-Congress and BJP to get less than 100 seats ?

Correct: While Congress has taken corruption to the grass roots, BJP has neither a leader nor a vision to take India forward.

JS

Next Lok Sabha-Congress and BJP to get less than 100 seats ?

It is certain that Congress would bite dust for next 15years.BJP is slated for a bigger role if unwarranted ambition of a few leaders is curbed. Ravi Shankar Prasad or Narendra Modi deserve to play greater role.

Let down by Govt

I have read both the drafts prepared by Government and Anna Team. What a let down by the Government as they are not sensitive to the aspirations of the people of India and no responsibility to the next generation. These intellectually dangerous Ministers is doing disservice to the nation and future will tell this. We need a movement like we did in 1942 or something like Tahrir Square. I am fully with Anna Team. Are you?

Mohan

Proposed bill should also treat misuse of office, perks etc.

The proposed bill should also treat the subjects of misuse of office perks & facilities (including exploitation of PSUs etc) and favourtism and nepotism shown in Government offices as cases of corruption.

B B Srivastava

Lok Pal Bill

Whatever it is, the MPs are only to vote and pass the bill. They will see to it that their interests are protected before passing the bill. No use in wasting energy in propagating for stronger provisions.

Prasad

Lokpal Debate turned into a farce

The five members from the civil society have turned the entire Lokpal Debate into a farce by insisting on conditions that have no logic and sense. A golden opportunity is being wasted by these self centred individuals who are more interested in harping criticism over the Government in media rather than doing some constructive work. We are being made to think that Lokpal shall solve all our problems. Karnataka, where Lokpal is already there, is a testimony to a big land scandal. Corruption can reduce only by a self cleansing exercise and imposing another institution is not the solution. Every one seems to have turned a blind eye to the wrong doings by the corporate sector and the entire focus is only on lambasting Congress. This entire Lokpal controversy seems to have been fomented with political reasons and people who are unable to fight elections and respect the constitution of this country are trying to topple elected representatives.

Kusum

Corruption every where

There is corruption every where. CAG only tries to point out corruption of great magnitude like Bofors and 2G cases. But, these people go on inspection enjoy the hospitality of the visiting institutions and just for name sake write some small objections. When these people are well paid by the Government, why they should behave like beggars - God only knows. You are asking chors to prepare a law to deal with law and order. When there are so many anti-corruption agencies in force, nothing tangible could be done. I do not this Lok Pal Bill will become a reality in its full shape.

Vijay

What a shame ?

1985 batch army and Air force officers have become colonel by tomescale(grade pay 8700/-) What a shame and disparity ? Armed forces officers 13 years behind AIS officers.

Vikas Bhat

Assets declaration by IAS and other officers ?

The recent media report pointing out Non-submission of property details by the civil servants to the DOP&T website is a misconduct on the part of IAS and other organized Services officers and calls for strict action. One wonders why is DOP&T headed by the PM himself taking such a soft line towards them. It calls for like initiating disciplinary proceedings against them by the Appointing authorities. Putting their names in the public domain could be one step. Making entries in their APARs could be the secondary steps not amounting to penalty. The defaulters could straightaway be put under the scanner of CBI. Incidentally, a friend of mine belonging to the IAS ( batch withheld) of UP cadre confided in me that the corruption index needs to be re-defined for UP cadre officers and calls for a separate benchmarking than the rest of India. This was years back. The present position must be far worse. Now, with Mayawati at the helm of affairs in UP, the corruption index must have gone up many times over by now. Other cadre officers are not lagging behind their peers in UP.

RTI

Copy of application of wife

The applicant asked for the copy of application form his wife had supposedly sent to the RBI including her educational certificate. The CPIO refused to disclose the information claiming that it was personal information as she had not been selected for the job and is not an employee of the RBI. The CIC upheld the order of CPIO holding that there was no apparent larger public interest to be served by disclosure. The CIC noted that there was nothing on record to show that the lady has authorized the Appellant to access this information.

Comments

This order shows that the Public Authority is not bound to disclose information about a job-seeker who is not his employee, even to her spouse.
