Aaj Ki Aawaz The main expectation
from Pranab Da was he'd act on the inflation!!!! But seems Pranab Da's Budget
train did not 'stop at this station'!! Whenever our GDP has touched
+ 9%!!! Into an upward tizzy inflation rates and interest have been sent!!
Actually our economy cannot absorb a + 9% growth rate!! On this phenomena
in the Indian Economy there should be a debate!! The West wants
India to open up and allow FDI in insurance and retail!!!! They've already
started to wail!! What we need to see is do we need it???? And
the price India will have to pay ... whole and/or bit by bit!! Pranab
Da has allowed Foreign Individuals to invest in Indian Stocks via Mutual Funds!! Again
this route will be abused to park 'kaala funds'!! You will have
'Individuals' from Isle of Man investing ...... proxy for Indian moneybags course!!! And
India will not be able to check out the fund source!! Our spirit
of 'jugaad' always finds a way!!! FM's Budget proposals within the hour
at Nariman Point they find how to waylay!! People expecting Pranab
Da to plug the Mauritius route were Alice's in Wonderland!! He plugs this
route and Indian Stock market ka bajh jaye ga band!! Lakhs of small
Indian investors would be hit!!! Though to check 'kaala dhan' this measure
'bull's eye it would hit'!! Small innocent investors would have
been crushed with losses to users of the Mauritius route! The small investors
would loose their hard earned money and the 'chors' their loot! 'Let
a hundred murderers walk free rather than hang an innocent man'!!!! This
adage is what helps the chors when it comes to putting on the Mauritius route
a ban! This route was envisaged to give Mauritian business a leg
up!!! Seems 'the cup gave a miss to the intended lips and some other lips
glug from the cup! Hear Rahul has fractured his leg and has been
advised bed rest!!! 'Why does he not take advantage and stay in Dalit homes'
some would jest???? Chalo he needed rest...... he'll catch with
reading, movies and playing with his dog!!! And I'm sure he'll hog and sleep
like a log!! There was talk that he's going to step into Congress
President's shoes!! And I did hear from a section in Congress 'boos'!!!!
Actually Congress too has been hit by the Middle East unrest!!! The
feeling amongst a section of Congressmen is why should Gandhis rule the rest!!!
Congress today is a dictatorship and a section of Congressmen yearn for
Democracy! Want to free Congress of High Command's autocracy!! Basically
they've realised Sonia's vote catching ability is on the wane!!! And Rahul
is not a vote netter and is for Congress more of a bane!! So basically
the coming elections will be 'make or break' for Ma and Beta!!! Do keep
in mind every Congressman is a 'die-hard power hankering' Neta!!! Confucius
says.... a powerless Congressman feels he is nangaa!!! It's their selfish
hankering for power that will make them take with High Command panga! Adds....
This time if the big tree falls (toppled) there will be no earthquake!! In
fact in their shoes those seated on this big tree will quake!! More....
So Madam its time to change the rules and also realize 'Public is shaana'! Try
listening and heed ' Chodho kall ki baaten, kall ki baat poorani' gaaana!
Some more.... it is a new age and new aspirations...... new story!!! If
you feel bad on my forthrightness I'm sorry!!!!! Flash.... Pranab
Da says Budget could have been better!!! From giving a better Budget 'Pranab
Da what or who did fetter'??? Market is up by 500 points .... Mauritian
salaam!!!! I'm sure the 'ghoos khors' will be raising to Pranab jaam pe
jaam!! Fact is jewellery shops are full, airlines and hotels overbooked,
retailers are happy!! That means rich and sandwich class are happy but rest
of India is surely scrappy!! Pranab Da's flopped badly to do what
the situation did demand!!! Now let us see what Report Card he will get
from his High Command???
Bharat
Kumar To become 'Mahatma'
of Kalyug, Rahul has a long way to go True that Rahul Gandhi is
increasingly finding space alongside Mahatma Gandhi on the same wall in several
Congress leaders' chambers. It is also true that Rahul Gandhi who does not fight
shy of crediting his status in politics to his lineage to the illustrious Nehru-Gandhi
family but chooses Mahatma Gandhi when it comes to speaking about his ideal. Still,
Rahul has a long way to go to become 'Mahatma' of Kalyug. An ardent follower
of Mahatma Gandhi, as he claims to be, "If I have any ideal in politics,
that is Gandhiji for me", Rahul Gandhi is making efforts to replicate Mahatma
Gandhi by going around the country and getting the feel of the ground realities
and the problems of the people. Rahul also speaks about poverty and contends
that till the poorer sections of the nation are not given a lead on the road of
progress, India would never be able to match other developed nations of the world. But,
the young, innocent general secretary of Congress who appears to be contributing
his best to the party will have to go a long way to earn the epitome of 'Kalyug
Ka Mahatma', feel majority of those who responded to the debate - CAN RAHUL GANDHI
BECOME "MAHATMA GANDHI " IN THIS "KALYUG"? - conducted by
whispersinthecorridors.com. While few respondents said that he (Rahul Gandhi),
who wants to build cadre of Congress at grassroots by injecting a whiff of fresh
air, is not only an icon for the Indian youth but is also striving hard to do
a Mahatma Gandhi in today's " Kalyug, others - much more in number- thought
that the very idea of comparing Rahul Gandhi with the father of the nation Mahatma
Gandhi was like living in a fool's paradise. "The ideal and philosophy
of both these persons do not match. One fought for the nation during freedom movement
and the other is fighting for the party and, in other words, creating a space
for himself to become the Prime Minister of the country in the days to come". Rahul
Gandhi can, however at the most, become "Mahatma' for the sycophants in the
Congress party whose only qualification is that they know the art of being the
Yes-man and enjoy power. For more details read the upcoming March issue
of WHISPERS IN THE CORRIDORS magazine.
PM convenes
a meeting of senior cabinet colleagues Indian Prime Minister Dr
Man Mohan Singh had convened a meeting of his senior Cabinet Ministers last week
for the discussion on the issue of corruption. In the meeting, some ministers
questioned the Prime Minister. For example, Civil Aviation Minister Vayalar. Ravi
had questioned about an American Company wanting to know that as to why the system
had shown a liberal attitude towards that particular company? Home Minister P.
Chidambaram had said that bureaucrats have misguided politicians. HRD and Communication
Minister Kapil Sibal had asked that as to why he was put in the dock even while
he was the then Minister for Science and Technology? Law Minister Veerappa Moily
did not attend the meeting because he was annoyed.

FORUM
Why not compare Rahul Gandhi with Lord Rama ?
Frankly speaking the Rahul Gandhi-Mahatma Gandhi debate initiated by you
gives me creeps. Such ludicrous comparison and debate lowers the standard of this
forum. If the intention is to give publicity to a middle aged man whose only claim
to fame is his connection with the dynasty, why don't you compare him with Lord
Rama himself. I am sure there will be people who find similarity between them.
Navnith Messy Government rules India !
A haggard PM who committed himself about the so called Indian involvement
in Baluchistan in a joint press conference, gulps the insults of China like in
the case of the stapled visa, tries to extricate himself from the Spectrum scam
pointing fingers at coalition politics and now makes funeral like speech in Parliament
defending the indefensible; a senile foreign minister who shamelessly gulped the
insult meted on him by Pak Foreign Minister and now reads Portuguese diplomat's
speech in UN; a Foreign Secretary, who has nothing to show other than her broad
smile; a lackluster and inefficient Defence Minister who bothers more about his
personal reputation than the needs of the defence services; a NSA about whose
work nobody knows and all these under the virtual control of a foreign born UPA
Chairperson sums up the condition of our Government now. No wonder Pakistan and
China have contempt for us. The unelected politician as he is, the PM is following
the footsteps of his Chairperson and employer who has no answer to the heaps of
open allegations being poured on her daily by Janata Party President. Any lesser
mortal would have filed a defamation case. Silence is a virtue but it also shows
admission of ones guilt. N Krishnan No room
for dissent in democracy For selection of CVC there is no infirmity
if person has a case against him, he can still be considered & selected for
the post. The DoPT sympathises & supports the cause of tainted officers having
outstanding ACRs because the only thing that matters is the ACR of last five years,
never mind if the person had been implicated in a vigilance case & exonerated
in the past as charge sheet very weak & framed deliberately to let off the
official, but is very strict if somebody is having only Good grading which being
below benchmark & even if he does not have even a recorded warning let alone
any charge sheet yet the officer is not considered for promotion. What kind of
system is this which strengthens & favours those who have twisted & manipulated
system to their advantage. DOPT conveniently withholds adverse information pertaining
to such officers on file & does not bring fact on record deliberately. The
Officer gets selected due to withholding of information. Why heads do not roll?
If any Officer of any level & belonging to any service in the Government does
not give full information in File & withholding facts then he should be prosecuted
& not allowed to get away lightly on pretext of overwork, rush of work, oversight
or that subordinate failed to give full information in file therefore he is not
responsible & that subordinate clerk is responsible. After all full time job
of all Babus senior or junior is submission of file & if they cannot do this
one task properly then it is deficiency in service & action needs to be taken.
Clerk is low paid with limited knowledge & is bound to make mistakes his mistakes
cannot be passed on mechanically because Officer job is to ensure all facts brought
on record. So many hierarchies of officers has been provided & they cannot
act as mere signing machines. The GOI should bring in an enactment regarding fixing
of responsibility for incorrect irresponsible submission of facts on file. This
will save the politicians from facing the brunt & arriving at wrong decisions
because the Babus chose to give only limited information in File. If for
selection of CVC there are three members then no purpose is served by having a
third member in form of leader of opposition. If all three members are from ruling
party/ government in position then the embarrassing situation of overruling one
member will not arise. All three can discuss & agree. Having third member
as leader of opposition has only complicated matter. If every time leader of opposition
gives dissent note then such embarrassing situation will bound to occur &
both other two members will have to overrule & get their preferred candidate
selected. Majority view has to rule & prevail so why provide room for dissent
which is unnecessary. When final selection is going to be based anyway on majority
view then having third member from opposition only complicates things.

Kudos to Rajasthan Governemnet , to appease and avoid confrontation and
to hide land dealings, the government is giving sobs to judiciary and press. Because
these are the people who will highlight issues. But the same is not necessary
for babus because they are voiceless tigers and can be booted anytime anywhere
any number of times, for anything. Delhi are you watching this. Malick

RTI Prosecution record Copies
of certain documents were denied to the Applicant claiming that it consists of
analysis of evidences by various decision taking authorities and their opinions
thereon which has the potential to influence these evidences and to interfere
with the proceedings of the court wherein prosecution of the Applicant is already
under process. The Commission noted that copies of the relied upon documents submitted
by the Respondents to the Court have already been provided to the Applicant
by the Court and that there is no order from the Court not to disclose any further
information available with the Pubic Authority. The Commission directed to provide
the documents after severing those portions that are exempt from disclosure under
any of the sub clauses of Section 8(1) of the RTI Act. Comments Public
Authorities tend to avoid disclosure even after the filing of the charge-sheet,
on various pretexts. With the filing of the charge-sheet which marks the end of
the investigations, the documents should no longer be held as exempt. Shri
