Aaj Ki Aawaz

Diplomacy during an Indo-Pak cricket battle!!!!

And India's dosti hand stretch towards Pak is like rattling in front of a cobra a rattle!!!

What message does this hand stretch send to the perpetrators of chabees gyaara (26/11)??

'Why not repeat chabees gyara dobaara???

'Because India lacks guts to take us and Pakistan on'!!!!

'We did chabees gyara and in retaliation what has India done'????

The attackers came here to die and one of them is in an Indian Jail!!!

And even to question the main protagonists in Pakistan India hua hai fail!!

India should have made handing over Sayeed as a precondition for resuming talks!!!

But do not know why from 'showing guts' this Sarkaar does baulk!!!

In the Foreign Secretaries meet they say Pakistan has given India '26/11 investigation access'!!!!

Means nothing if one understands the process!!!

Indian Investigators would be in peril investigating on Paki soil!!!!

And if they do stumble on something by a miracle the Paki minders will be there to foil!!!

Though some say post the Wiki Cable orders to extend the friendly hand came from USA!!!!

'Invite Gilani and he will come' the order did say!!

Zardari's and Giliani's high command is Kiyani and we know who is Mohna's high command!

But the real High Command is Uncle Sam and both do what he does demand!!

Sonia and her brood will be in attendance at the Mohali match!!

Hoping on TV their presence the US High Commission does 'catch'!!!

Then a Wiki Cable will go..... 'Sonia not only ordered Mohna to invite Gilani but went a step more'!!

'She was present with her brood at the event ... her willingness to please us (US) comes to the fore'!

Sadly the Wiki Cables show that despite getting our Independence we are still a 'gulaam'!!!!

And we thought we had shaken off this 'shamefull naam'!!!!

The Government and Opposition seem to be reporting to US's Delhi Mission!!!!!

And from the Cables it seems that both seem to be tacitly taking US's permission!!

And before I forget..... during the match Rahul and Priyanka will show their bro-sis love!!!!

The message......family comes sabh se above!!!!!

This is because of the Wiki Cables 'calls on making Priyanka politically active'!!!!

The inference being that Rahul be made politically inactive!!

Just a thought.... what do you think was Jamai Raja's mental reaction to this Wiki Cable????

He must have felt damn good though as an 'impossibility' to all this Cable he did label!!

Sheila Sarkaar says Shunglu Committee 'is self contradictory' thus confirming now she's seen the report!!

Just a few hours back she was lamenting 'I've not seen any report-sheport'!!

Congress has already started looking for scum to pin on Shunglu!!!!!

The way for donkey's years that Congress uses to make 'justice ka ullu'!!!

When in a fix Congress paints BJP black!!!!!

And when a Committee finds it guilty it finds some grounds to give the Committee flack!!

Coming back to Sheila Aunty..... delays in CWG caused huge losses!!!

Money is spent through the nose when the deadline crosses!!

Though on the surface one can say 'where was the ghoos-khori'!!!

In the delay is the 'chori'!!!

Confucius says...... where the chor has will he or she will find a way!!!!!

Chori is also an art chors say!

Flash....coming to Mohali....Ambani bros separately in their Jets!!!

And in to Mohali with Mallya on his Jet Pawar jets!

Praful 'Boeing' Patel is jetting in on a Falcon ...... is it borrowed or his own!!

Or has a taken it on hire or a friendly 'loan'!!

Hear that 'Motta Bhai Mukesh' has spent 5 crores for seats for the final!!!!

Black market for final tickets is thriving but will plummet if India loses semi final!!

The joke is for Mukesh from thinking about how to invest money cricket is an escape!!

For Anil cricket means from his debtors he can escape!!!!

Tommorrow 2 Nations will come to a standstill.....aman ki aasha!!!!!

Its cricket but on both sides people are using 'marne aur maarne' ki bhaasha!!

To weed out corruption

First of all I must congratulate Sureshmehrotra.com for its spreading popularity, so much so that even former President of India has found it a suitable forum to express his views on. Corruption in India has in fact taken gigantic shape and is spreading like cancer, calling for emergent action. As regards my views to weed out corruption, I feel that, firstly, corruption cases should be equated with cases of murder and hence stringent action might prevent such a crime, at least to repeat such crimes. Secondly, the Supreme Court should designate special courts in each State to decide corruption cases, which would also work as supervisory courts for similar specifically created lower courts . For this purpose 2 new posts of Judges be created in each High Courts. Thirdly, corruption cases should be decided within a fixed time frame, say within 3 months (maximum). In fact, I would like it to be tackled under a fixed time frame, just like steps to weed out polio virus. Fourthly, final hearing in all cases of corruption involving a sum beyond Rs.1 crore should be telecast live. Fifthly, children of corrupt ministers, officials, businessmen should be debarred from availing facilities under any type of reservation policy.

Get TDS certificate

If there is mismatch in form 26 AS and the claim made by the assessee, what can the third outside agency do. Better course is to get TDS certificate from the tax payer and give credit ,if required ,after making necessary verification from the deductor. In all such cases all penal action should be taken against deductors as they think 'Government ka paisa apna hai.'

Declare 31.3.2011 for Income Tax Refund for AY 2010-11 by CBDT

Income tax department has fixed last date for payment of tax as 31.3.2011 for AY 2011-12. In similar way, can IT department fix date for its own work to finalise and issue refunds for AY 2010-11 as 31.3.2011 and advertise in every news papers for the benefit of public at large. This will give real situation of work done by income tax department officials. Let the refunds or dues be finalised and issued according to ITRs submitted. At least there should not be problem in finalising ITR 1 &2. If department finds any dues are pending, they can issue demand note for the same. The cases should not be delayed due to mismatch of 26 AS and TDS deducted. The assessee can be asked to submit hard copy given by banks, employer etc. as the case may be who has deducted tax. Give a try to fix refund date 31.3.2011 for AY 2010-11.

Is this not sheer madness ?

The hype around the semi-final match between India and Pakistan. All roads are leading to Mohali. Corporates are flying in by their private planes, the tickets are being sold at an astronomical rate in black. The massive security build-up with anti-aircraft guns in place and with NSG,SPG commandos assisting the Punjab police and the Air-force also roped in creates an atmosphere of a war rather than a sporting event. Is it a match of cricket or a battle between the two traditionally hostile neighbours? The public response is also as if it is a war between the two countries. All this and the media shrill on the game is bound to cause stress and pressure on our boys. Why could we not leave them alone to play their natural game with genuine fans and lovers of game in the stands. Where was the need for the Prime minister to intrude into this match with his cricket diplomacy? This mad rush to Mohali by VVIPs, corporate honchos, filmstars and others is nauseating. We are not helping our team by creating this pressure. This extravagant hype is really ominous and we are certainly not helping Indian team to achieve their goal though I wish and pray with lakhs, nay crores ,of my countrymen that India wins this match.

Dr Manmohan Singh's negative shadow

Having cast his negative shadow on all sectors of governance, I only hope Dr Manmohan Singh does not cast his negative shadow on the performance of Indian Cricket team in semi final against Pakistan at Mohali. Good Luck to Dhoni, his team and lot of Indian fans!

Disparity in pay between UDCs and Assistants

As in the case of UDCs and Assistants so in the case of Sr PPS and PSO of CSSS and also in the case of Deputy Secretary and Director of CSS - the difference in the pay is too high after the 6CPC. Prior to this, the difference in pay was only 1000 - 1500 between DS and Director. Now that PSO is equal to Director and Sr PPS is equal to DS, you find both Sr PPS and DS who are on the verge of superannuation rushing to get PSO/Director promotion as the difference in pay/pension works out to roughly 14000/4,000 respectively. They seem to be asking for all kinds of relaxation in RRs etc. so that they walk home with a higher pension. I find nothing wrong in that. It is the Govt. in the M/o Finance and DOPT who do not want to help their employees. Govt. must remember that this is the same group of CSS and CSSS officers who have stagnated in 1994,95 - and with great difficulty they got insitu promotion from SO/PS to US/PPS. The denial of promotion at that time, because of lack of vacancies could now be made good by relaxing RRs and giving them the benefit towards the fag end of their service. Or alternatively, to lessen the heart burn of not getting Dir/PSO payscales, the pay of DS/Sr PPS could be placed in PB 4, say with a lesser grade pay say 8,000 or something like that, so that there is no need to revise the grade pay of PSO and Director. The wide disparity between these two payscales/bands etc, has led to much heart burn which the Ministry of Finance and DOPT can certainly take note and reduce the hardships being felt by both CSS and CSSS officers.

Increase in retirement age:

This is no logically correct. Instead, it should be 6-day week instead of 5-day week. The main reason is only about 20-30% of government employees are in office from about 9.00 Am to 5.30 P.M. Others, they come at the convenience. Particularly, females, they have chalked out their own time, though government in 6th CPC has given them more benefit. This is benefit is not available to female employees in private companies. If it is a 6-day week, they office will automatically be from 10.15 A.M. to 5.15. PM which was existing earlier. Biometric Machines should be installed in all the Governments buildings, so as to ensure that all come to office and leave office on time. This will certainly improve the efficiency in working. These employees should also be made to understand that domestic work like taking care of children etc. is common for everyone and also is a part of life and not specially only for the employees of government.
