Aaj Ki Aawaz

Team Anna is being investigated with a 'fine comb'..... their past and present is under the scanner!!! And if this is all that they've been able to come up with then kudos to Team Anna!!!! Congress's pally Media is doing a hatchet job and magnifying and distorting the 'fine comb' findings!!!!! Fact of the matter is had Team Anna's pressure not been there and the uprising against corruption that they were instrumental in bringing about , 2 G ke maamle mein Congress would have done a Bofors!!! In the end Congress's bhonpus Singhvi, Tiwari and Renuka would have made it look as if Raja did a great favour to the Country and for all you know Raja would even got a Padma Bushan!!! Please do remember that at one stage our PM had given a clean chit to Raja...... next would have been a commendation for stellar service to the Nation!

The way they are investigating Team Anna if they investigate Sonia's hairdresser or maid!!!

It'll be revealed to the Nation that via 'cooking and hairdressing' how fortunes are made!!

Kani does not deserve to be held culpable under Section 409!!! The plan seems to be is get her convicted under a harsh section so that High Court can strike it down... Court will say CBI's being unreasonable and it'll be easier to get Kani off the hook and it will digested by the Nation!!! As of now the main concern is to get her out on bail and this will take place in a week or so.... Karuna in fact is camping in Delhi and wants to take his 'dear flower' with him!! CBI's ' harshness' is aimed at getting her Public sympathy!! What also surprises how Radiia has been 'insulated'!!!! Like they say 'Jabh Rattan aur Mukesh ho saath toh darr kahe ka'!!

Now let's see what SC has to say on Swamy's plea on PC being included in the accused list!!!!

Many say PC was the brain behind 2 G Scam and actually Raja ne kiya PC ko assist!!

Sonia has ordered Mohna to do a hatchet job on RTI!!!!! Every excuse in the book is being used....... RTI is deterring honest officials from expressing their views....transparency is slowing down governance.....it's being misused and abused.....basically Sonia wants Government to have the right to reject RTI Applications that the Government feels are not for 'Public good' (to be read as Ruling Party's good)!!! And though Advani has warned Mohna against watering down of RTI, BJP would like the act to be watered down.... what is bad for Neta Peter is bad for Neta Paul too!!

On RTI Government wants its own RTI... Right To Interject!!!!

Or in simple words where it does not want to reveal info Right to Reject!!

If Omar Abdullah wants the AFSPA to be lifted from some areas he needs to lead by example and first reduce his Security.... AFSPA can only be lifted if normalcy has returned to the area its being lifted from... why doesn't he prove this 'first hand' and reduce his own security?????? Crores are spent on the Security of Father and Son and reduction of Security would indeed send the right signal and would also save money!!!

Omar they say has a thinking cap and he puts it on when he has to think!!!

When he thought up the AFSPA lifting idea the cap dhonne ke liye was lying in the sink!!

PS.... Sushma and Jaitley fell ill in Advani's Rath and were driven to Hospital by Rudy in his car.... tiull last heard Advani's not even enquired about their wellbeing .... signs that he considers them as adversaries!! IE used to be anti establishment and now it's become pro establishment... news and views content and Sarkaari ads reflect this change!!! Ghadkari got his stomach stapled... now he says he'll stand from Nagpur in the Lok Sabha elections..... in the end I can predic tin his case it'll 'be all dressed up but nowhere to go'!!!!

Why delay in empanelment of 1978 batch IAS?
Why there is delay in the empanelment of 1978 batch IAS officers to the rank of Secretary in the Government of India. The grapevine is that hitch is about the same officers who could not get empanelled at Additional Secretary level earlier and could get in only after Review. Same people are now pulling the strings to get empanelled at Secretary level and the Government, already battered by 2G and several other scandals, refuses to oblige them. All such people would get empanelled and then Government would cry about non-availability of posts. Strange are the ways of this Government!

Elevation of Ms. Sudha Sharma still clouded by uncertainty

Ms. Sudha Sharma, who is presently DGIT Vigilance, Delhi and was soon to become a Member of the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) is still awaiting her elevation. A vacancy of a Member in CBDT had arisen in the wake of M C Joshi becoming full time Chairman, CBDT. However, Laxmandas CCIT- (CCA), Delhi who had won a case in the CAT for the post of Member CBDT is also waiting in the wings. Presently the file relating to CAT's ruling is before Committee of Secretaries. The Law Ministry, had reportedly said that Laxmandas be promoted as a Member CBDT. Thus, it has to be seen that whether the Government of India (GoI) decides to challenge the CAT's ruling in the High Court. At the same time Ms. Sudha Sharma's elevation as CBDT's Member is a different case, as her name was cleared against next year's vacancy. On the other hand Laxmandas's contemporaries were empanelled separately. Net result is that the post of Member CBDT is vacant for almost two months now.

While the official reason given for the transfer is to strengthen the law and order machinery in the trouble torn province, senior police and bureaucratic circles see the political rivalry between the ruling PPP and the principal opposition party the PML (N) at the root as Baluchistan is seen as a hard posting and some of the officers transferred are perceived to be close to the PML (N) leaders.

Every Civil Servant should take responsibility

This is regarding the debate on - Lokpal Bill and the subsequent anger and protests across the country led by veteran Gandhian Anna Hazare has instilled a fear of accountability among the bureaucracy. How should the bureaucrats react to the situation?

The answer is simple provided there is a political will and consensus on this issue. Every Civil Servant should take responsibility for his/her action and that also holds good for the politicians too. All those in corridors of power should openly declare their assets right from the date they assumed power i.e. what they had when they assumed power and what they have as of date. The source of income may also be declared and should be on websites. If this is done I am sure we may not need any Jan Lokpal bill etc

Under what provision of conduct rules did Ms. Kiran Bedi owned trusts ?

L'affaire Kiran Bedi shows the true colors of personalities with snow white exterior and holier than thou snooty airs, not giving any one a chance to put up a case in defense. Now that the mask is off and the whole world knows the depths, such self proclaimed champions can stoop for a few dollars more, why is she not volunteering herself out of the Anna Hazare jing bang until such time her name is cleared. Different rules, one to publicize, and to practice ? Ms Kiran Bedi and the trusts (my trusts, as she calls them) should be investigated to the last document. Under what provision of conduct rules she could have spawned those trusts while in service, one wonders.

Being pro Anna is no licence to wrong doings

Bharat Kumar has a weird logic that Kiran Bedi has done nothing wrong or is only technically wrong in claiming more than actual expenses from one organisation and giving it to her own NGO. It was her organisation and if she wanted money for her organisation, she could have put a condition of paying some donation to her NGO in lieu of her lectures. She has been wrong and being pro Anna, does not means their wrongs will become right. Or does it mean that you can do any thing to fill coffers of your NGO even if NGO money is utilised for a good cause and is not misused as a number of NGOs do.

Fact behind partition of our country

Millions of applause for D. Choudhury for throwing light on the darker side of our history. This is really a true fact behind partition of our country and that Pakistan has declared themselves as an Islamic country and we could not declare ourselves as Hindu country and in the name of appeasement and voter friendly still wearing the mask of being secular. Thanks a billion to Choudhury again and again for sharing such information.

Congress passing through bad phase

Congress is passing through a bad phase and all important UP election is round the corner. Congress really needs a wise and seasoned person in UP. A suggestion. Congress should withdraw Pranabdada from Cabinet and deploy him fulltime for UP election.

Worst time IR faced in history

Perhaps this is worst time I R faced in history. Congress mafia is in process of selling a head less body and all efforts are being made in this direction. Didi is also playing her role very well.

Fear is of sycophants harassing the honest

In the present scenario the fear is not for accountability but that of sycophants harassing the honest as they lack the guts to take stand and speak the truth. Many of the issues are allowed to be delayed as Secretaries in GOI do not want to take firm stand to please their aka. Thus, harassment of righteous persons continue. As team Anna is to book the corrupt it is equally important to book non-performers. Most important is to protect the honest with full zeal otherwise THE COUNTRY CANNOT BE RUN BY PSYCHOPHANTS AND STATUS QUO OFFICERS

Jaggu

UID is the right project

UID is absolutely the right project and lead by an honest professional. Rather than adding 1 more card, it will become the only ID we will need to carry - in places like Singapore, whether its banks or government people just ask for the IC Card. Same will happen with UID for India. People who are doubting it are scared of the implications

Sandeep

Involve your stakeholders too

It is good that you formulate policies and implement. Please involve your stakeholders also whose cadres you are managing without involving them despite repeated requests from them and even after recommendations of at least two previous Pay Commissions for the same. Let us join hands to work for the country from within as well as temporarily from outside.

Kuldeep Dhatwalia

Why don't you comment on failure of Railways ?

Why dont you comment on the failure of Railways to install GOOD Signalling as had been done by DMRC. Railways still fight for Double-Distant land signals, when world is moving towards sky.....

RTI

Application seeking indiscriminate information

The appellant had sought 08 paras of information regarding generation of power in various States and related information. The CIC quoted the Supreme Court judgment in Civil Appeal No. 6454 of 2011 (CBSE & Anrs Vs Aditya Bandopadhaya & Ors) while disposing the appeal. The Commission observed that the Right to Information is a cherished right but it has to be exercised with restraint. The requested information should be useful to the information seeker either personally or it should be useful socially or nationally. Wanton demand for information without any meaningful purpose behind it can not be countenanced as it puts undue strain on the limited resources of the public authority. Besides, collection, collation and transmission of information entails costs to the public authority.

Comments

In regard to information other than those enumerated in subsection (b) and (c) of section 4(1) of the RTI Act, equal importance and emphasis should be given to other public interests like confidentiality of sensitive information, fiduciary relationships, efficient operation of governments, etc.. The RTI Act should not be allowed to be misused in a manner where indiscriminate demands are made in the name of seeking information.
