Your efforts and your work is outstanding. My objection is that why do you publish so much about Maharashtra politics that too of lower level?

Aaj Ki Aawaz

You guys will say 'yeh toh Rahul ke peechche haath doh karr padh gaya hai'!!!!! But my submission is if Rahul is in the news everyday .... sometimes for the right reasons but mostly for the wrong reasons.... what can I do???? Like today he's in the news because of a Tweet by Subramainiam Swamy ..... seems there is a Wikileak in which Sayeed Naqwi, who was a personal friend of Rahul's Dad, telling Poloff a US Official that Rahul would never become India's PM.... he said that Rahul suffered from personality problems 'of an emotional and psychological nature'!!! Swamy has mentioned in his Tweet the name of the Psychiatrist who treated Rahul!!! Now if there is no truth in these reports and tweets then I feel Rahul should sue Wikileaks and Swamy!!! In fact by going to the Cops on 'what he terms as distressing messages and tweets' Diggy has made it mandatory for Rahul to follow the same course of action .... otherwise it'll be said ' Rahul's silence means the allegations are true..... see Diggy went to the Cops when he felt the messages and tweets were wrong'!!!!

And for behaving like a 'Youth Congress Leader' he's grossly overage!!

Omar has a lot of answering to do..... now a witness has come on TV and stated that the NC Fixer guy who popped it came out from CM's house in a bad state.... he had entered abs okay..... and there is CCTV footage to prove this!! Then this witness says this NC guy confirmed in Omar's presence that the money was given to Farroukh!!! Another serious allegation that comes out is that Democracy was being sold...... both tickets and Ministerial berths were being sold!!!!! The allegations are very serious and Omar needs to step down for a free and fair enquiry!! Not that tickets and Ministerial berths are not sold by other Parties.... but then joh pakda gaya wohi chor hai!! I recall a very senior Bureaucrat telling me that in a certain State there were two claimants to the CM's post and ultimately one was beaten at the 'finishing line' when the other outbid him by Rs. 600 crores... this was some time back!!!! In this case, informed sources say that it is Farroukh's greed that was the undoing...... it was like selling an apartment to three buyers!!!

To save his skin Omar is in Delhi meeting Rahul etc., and meeting Lawyers and to chill!
Of course Kashmiris pay the bill...it is like for a chor the one who he has been robbed pays every bill!!

Anna should not come on talk shows.... especially those talk shows that have Renuka Chowdhary as a participant!! Her job is to derail arguments by making funny faces.... interrupting and not allowing others to speak..... and insulting!! He's admitted that he has to rejig his inner circle....meaning there are fissures in the Civil Society Board...... Agnivesh was the first to get himself booted out...... Bhushans feel they have the right to comment on everything .....Kejriwal's anti development stand is well known!!! But as long as Anna's there 'all ijj well'!!! My request to him his should not let go off his simple living and simplicity!!!!

Rather than Asset declarations I feel each one on Civil Society Board should make an agenda declaration!!!!

Or just pen a page on 'What I want to do for the Nation'!!!!!

PS.... In Hissar Anna's activists are asking voters not to vote for Congress.... if corruption is their reason... then funnily they are benefitting Chautalas and Bhajan Lal's son..... who are known for their corruption!! Ramchandra keh gaye Siya se aisa kalyug aaye ga Ram ko Ravan jalaaye ga (evil winning over good).... today you see it happening all the time.......I felt this took place when UPA jailed Anna!!!! In his Constituency PC got posters made of himself portrayed as 'Krishna'..... PC ji Krishna was only a 'maakhan chor' and that too because it was his leela!!!!!

Bureaucracy should be accountable

Bureaucracy has to accountable for its sensitivity, dedication and commitments. It should not join hand with politicians for narrow personal gains. To be frank bureaucracy is now becoming patron of corruption. Any move to cleanse the system create a sense of unease and all forces join their nasty hand to defeat noble and good cause. If India to become superpower with its commitment to social justice whereby satisfying all sections of the society evenly. These changes must come. All should join hands to make it happen. We should not be deterred by misconceived fear or uncertainty.

Jai Ho Chidambaram

Apropos Sharad Panda's 'Jai ho Chidambaram' (WIC 5-10-2011) , I want to add two more spectacular achievements to Chidambaram's outstanding resume. In December 2009, he announced on the floor of the Parliament that a resolution for creation of the new state of Telangana would be passed during the current session of the Parliament. Subsequently , the solemn declaration made by the most honourable Home Minister of India had to be backtracked by the government of an equally honourable Dr Manmohan Singh whose government passed the blame on to the 'lack of consensus in the state assembly', a 'prerequisite for the Parliament to pass the resolution'. Isn't it a pity that the Parliament of India didn't pass a unanimous resolution placing on record the exemplary far sightedness of P Chidambaram who made a declaration on the floor of the Parliament even when the prerequisite of consensus in the state assembly wasn't there . Now come to a more recent and perhaps equally spectacular achievement. Remember the 'Most Wanted List' handed over to Pakistan. Chidambaram and his outstanding Secretary, Gopal Pillai, were so meticulous in their scrutiny of the list that only two, mind you, just two out of the huge number of 50 names on that list were found to be in India; all the rest were actually in Pakistan. Ask any renowned economist like Dr Manmohan Singh or Dr Montek Singh Ahluwalia and they will with their mastery over statistical skills tell you what an insignificant percentage of inaccuracy was there in that list. Compare that insignificant figure of inaccuracy with the huge percentage of accuracy (48 out of 50) and you will know the remarkable devotion to duty shown by the Home Minister and the Home Secretary. If we still don't know how to feel proud of such dedicated public servants within our bureaucratic and political establishment, we are obviously being cynical for which we can't expect anyone else, be it the congress party or the PM - to share the blame.

Don't consider SC' Judges for postings after retirement

The Judges of the Supreme Court should not be considered for any position after their retirement. Any effort to bring 'standards and accountability' in higher judiciary will fail miserably unless it is done.

RTI

Maintenance by CPWD

Information pertaining to budget works/additions/alterations in type IV houses in a colony maintained by CPWD was sought. The CIC directed to provide full and complete information pertaining to works as sought
by the appellant including the name of the agency, budget and payments made along with details of the approving authority and inspecting authority. The CIC observed that as per present practice, the allottees are not kept informed of the nature or level of services to which the allottee is entitled nor is he informed of the timeframe in which the services will be delivered. Consequently, huge sums from the government budget are released in favour of private contractors who are allotted these works with almost no supervision since it is almost impossible for the meager staff/ officers of the CPWD to supervise hundreds of flats/houses in their area of jurisdiction. Under the powers given u/s 25 (5), the CIC recommended to Director General CPWD
to make the terms and conditions of the contract transparent so that the allottee can share the responsibility of supervising the work of the contractor. This would enable the most efficient execution of the awarded job and to receive maximum returns on expenditure made from public funds.

Comments

All public servants staying in government accommodation have faced the poor maintenance by the CPWD. As the end user (allottee) is not provided with any information regarding his entitlement of the various
services, he is unable to assist the CPWD officers in supervising the works being carried out in his allotted accommodation. Hopefully in the RTI era, the uniformity in the standard of services would lead to
an improvement in the quality and the allottees would not be left to the mercy of the contractors.
