Aaj Ki Aawaz
In the morning Congis were flashing V signs ... ala Mohna.....and
when the SC verdict came out they looked crestfallen!!! Congis had pinned
a lot of hopes on this verdict....if BJP beat them with the corruption
stick they'd get to beat the BJP with the Secular stick!!! What irks
me is that despite 'big tree' statement that literally signalled a 'go
lynch Sikhs' and the involvement of the Cops in killing Sikhs and the
cover up, which goes on to this day, those involved in the heinous crimes
have not been brought to justice!!! Before pointing a finger at Modi
Congress needs to look at its own past!!!! Rajdeep Sardesai and Barkah
Dutt came 'all dressed up' to project SC's verdict as a 'CCN IBN' and
NDTV affect respectively but after the verdict came out both were left
in the lurch!!!!
Now what will Congress do??????
But this is for sure if it attacks Modi people will say 'after its
role in 1984 genocide with what mooh (face)!!
I feel Civil Society should be focussed...... at present they seem
they want to change 'everything'!!!! At present they need to concentrate
on the Jan Lokpal Bill.....then election reforms!!!! Follow the principle
'slowly but surely'!!!!! Kejriwal's Commie connections have come to
the fore..... and he's going to face flack for this connection.... not
that he's scared or bothered!!! This is for sure the entire political
establishment, even BJP, wants Civil Society to be beaten down!!!!
Okay agreed Jan Lokpal Bill will not be a cure for ghoos!!!
To fight corruption a potent weapon on corruption has been let loose!!
Is Madam really back..... or did she come and she's gone back??????
Maybe she's waiting for the side effects of chemotherapy to wear off!!!!
Tweets about 'her coming back to be just a Media plant' or 'her coming
back and then returning' have reached a feverish pitch!! Rahul in the
meantime has again started maintaining arms length distance from UPA......he's
still smarting from the boos he got at RML!!! I hear Rahul has taken
cognizance of the fact that in every scam PC's name is to be found!!!
Seems reality still has not dawned on the Gandhis!!!
They still wrongly feel in UP and General Elections Congress ki
hoyegi chandhi!!
Advani's heckling Congress to arrest him in cash for votes matter
and the Rath Yatra he's announced is Advani's way of throwing his hat
in the PM ring!!! This Yatra has further divided a already much divided
BJP!!!! If Advani really walks the talk on his 'love for BJP' he'll
undertake the Yatra and say he's now the Bheesham Pitta of BJP and no
longer in the run for PM!! Problem is Advani's candidature as PM gets
lesser cheers from BJP's hardcore vote bank as it gets boos from BJP
baiters!!
Advani needs to hang up his 'I wanna be PM boots'!!!!!!
If he does not then actually for BJP he cares two damn hoots!!
PS.... After he got a room to himself in Tihar now Amar is complaining
about loneliness..... he's a compulsive chatter box!! A bouquet of flowers
was delivered to 10 Janpath from Amar... card read..... Abh merri baari...
hinting to Sonia he's done what was expected from him and now it is
his turn!!

FORUM
All services have vested interests
All services have their vested interests in ganging up for themselves.
Whereas the IAS would have all the cake and the cherry on top, all others
are not far behind. Thus you have the Ministry of Home being manned
by 90% IAS ,whereas the IPS should have a larger share in there, considering
their domain knowledge of law and order. But IPS is not far behind in
safe guarding its own flock. Take CBI for instance. Its prize units
the Anti Corruption and Economic Offences which deal with financial
issues only- cheating, bribery, corruption has nil presence of Income
Tax people. It is not in dispute that those in Income Tax are much better
versed in detecting financial crimes than any other. As to why there
is an allergy to associate persons from other services in authorities
which have in course of time come to be associated with a single Service
is hard to fathom except selfishness and personal aggrandisement. In
end, by not utilizing the best brains , the country loses out. But,
does any one care?

We're unable to follow USA
This is apropos to comments of J. K. Khanna, DGP (Retd) about why can't
we insulate our country similarly on the lines of the USA in the backdrop
of 9/11 and long but unending pains of the Police in collecting evidence
and bringing terrorists for trial. He vehemently commented at length
about the prevailing system of mercy petitions and political clout surrounding
in it. It is very surprising that a Retd. Police officer of the rank
of DGP, out of agony, passed a vague comment that why the police shouldn't
work hard to solve cases.
A person of mean knowledge in political and strategic military affairs
can tell you that India is not able to insulate (imitate) herself against
terrorist activities in the lines of USA as it has clear cut geographical
advantage in its favour. The USA is surrounded by Canada to its North
and only Mexico to south and oceans to its east and west. USA has open
border with Canada which is thinly populated and Canada is not bordered
with any country other than USA. Come to the Mexico front, the USA gives
more liberal concessions in monetary and military terms to Mexico in
order to keep people of Mexicans friendly with Americans and moreover
the USA has been liberal too to the Mexicans in issuing work visas.
On the other hand, India is bordered by either hostile or neutral countries
(Bhutan is exception), and it has thousands of miles of porous border
with Bangladesh, Pakistan, China and Myanmar. It is easy walk over for
terrorists to sneak into India from Nepal or from Bangladesh by air
or on foot. In USA, it is easy and swift to segregate persons, whereas
in India owing to our common Asian ethnic features we cannot segregate
persons easily. So the epilogue is; we can only choose our friends but
cannot our neighbors.
Police is part of the system and it cannot shun its responsibilities.
It is very childish to comment that why should the police work hard
to solve cases. We all know that very a few cases like Afzal Guru &
Kasab are politicized and the rest are more than normal. It is not only
the police every organ of government is working hard.

Why media is wasting time over Mayawati ?
You are right Rajesh. The TV Channels/newspapers/magazines/WIC devoted
so much of time and space to discuss the Robert Cavalli glasses, Birkin's
bag, Jimmy Choo sandals, South Sea pearls but Mayawati's clothes and
jewellery are an eyesore for these upper castes. Are Dalits supposed
to go around like half naked fakirs. Why even Madam Gandhi wears expensive
Shatoosh and Pashmina shawls and she's not from an aristocratic family.
Instead admiring a WOMAN from a humble caste and family who made it
on her own mind you all she didnot inherit anything the upper caste
biased Media is running her down. Why only now the media has woken to
crimes against dalits that too only in UP. Wonderful when the Khairlanji
massacre of a dalit family took place in Maharastra Yuvaraj never bothered
to visit. Like Jyotiba and Savitribai Phule, Ambedkar, Kanshiram, Madam
Maya is a icon of the bahujans, the media is wasting its time. Focus
your attention on those Other Caste looters of this country's precious
Natural Resources all over the country rather than wasting time on Maya.If
Yuvaraj really empathises with dalits then let him marry a dalit girl
from a humble dalit family from Amethi itself, all over the country
the Bahujan Samaj will welcome this damaad with open arms.

Congratulations
Kindly convey my heartiest congratulations to my younger brother and
senior batchmate on winning the case in Hon. CAT. I wish him the best
for his new responsibilities. However I am astounded by the judgment
of Hon. CAT which has dismissed my appeal while allowing the appeal
of my brother on the same GOA in the same order and thereby Hon. CAT
usurping the prerogative of Hon. COS to select the Members of Hon. CBDT.
Moreover, Hon. CAT has foisted upon me a lawyer (Shri Jauhar) who was
never my lawyer. I only hope he does not send me the bill for his (non)services
to me . I could barely afford one lawyer and now I am saddled with one
more. Notwithstanding my predicament , my best wishes to my brother
Laxman Das on his grand success. Thanks and regards.

Scoop of the week :
One of Japan's biggest cosmetics companies was faced with this problem.
The company received a complaint that a consumer had bought a soap box
that was empty.
For some reason, one soap box went through the assembly line empty.
Management asked its engineers to solve the problem. The engineers worked
hard to devise an X-ray machine with high-resolution monitors manned
by two people to watch all the soap boxes that passed through the line
to make sure they were not empty. No doubt, they worked hard and they
worked fast but they spent huge amount to do so.
But when a rank-and-file employee in a small company was posed with
the same problem, did not get into complications of X-rays, etc but
instead came out with another solution. He bought a strong industrial
electric fan and pointed it at the assembly line. He switched the fan
on, and as each soap box passed the fan, it simply blew the empty boxes
out of the line.
Moral of the story: KISS (Keep It Simple, Stupid) i.e. always look
for simple solutions.

RTI
Orders of specific type by the Supreme Court
The Appellant sought information regarding all the cases of section
17 B of the Industrial Disputes Act passed by the Supreme Court of India.
The CPIO informed him that it was beyond the scope of his duties to
provide any interpretation of the judgments passed by the Supreme Court.
The Respondents submitted before the CIC that such information was not
maintained in the form in which it was being sought and that the CPIO
would have to undertake research through hundreds of orders. In view
of the availability of the Supreme Court orders in computerized form
since 1998, the CIC directed to make an effort to generate this data
from the computer database. In case no such data can be generated, the
appellant may be informed accordingly.
Comments
In some cases, the CIC has directed the PIO to provide information after
compilation of data, if it does not require too much effort. Computerisation
of data is making the supply of data in specific formats effortless
and user friendly.
