Aaj Ki Aawaz

Congress's Spin Doctors are working overtime!! Now it is being said that this note was Mohna's idea and he got MOF to give the chronology of events.... why did he not ask the Communication Ministry to do this......did he feel that Sibal would give even the chronology a Sibal spin!!! And by asking the MOF Mohna has indicated the crucial role MOF played!!! Actually I feel after colluding with Raja.... though some would say that Raja colluded with PC..... PC very tactfully sent 'the chapter close' letter to PM.... actually meaning 'joh ho gaya ho gaya..... next time we'll dupe the Country to a lesser extent'..... read the letter and this is the conclusion you will draw!!! I feel Pranab got this note written for self preservation..... when the goo would hit the fan on the then FM's involvement he would not be caught with his pants down.... he'd say 'see I informed the PM and it was he who should have taken action'!!! Sonia's silence is surprising....her Spokesmen have not uttered a word!!! And Mohna said ' I have confidence in PC'...if only he would realize the Nation no longer has confidence in him!!

PC is definitely involved the 2 G scam!!!!

And his 'I am hurt' is just a face saving sham!!

Gulam Nabhi Azad in Salman's American accent said onboard AI One that Indians and Media were sullying India's good name overseas!!!! We Indians read and view the News everyday and imagine how demoralized we are.... I say this because he said ' on reaching US when he read the news about what was going on back home he felt India's name had been sullied by the Media'!!!! And Mr. Moily if Ministers kept giving resignations on Media's and Public's demands India would be looked upon as a Banana Republic.... Moily has said that PC should not resign as India is not a Banana Republic!! India's name has been sullied by Mohna and his Cabinet and the Super Bosses of UPA.... Madam Sonia and her son Rahul!! In UN there were whispers ' Singh is no longer King' (actually he never was.... he was a minion).... now he's Mr. Sinking!! Montek Rs.32 Ahluwalia is also in the US......he is actually the non resident Deputy Chairman of the Planning Commission as he spends more time overseas than in India!!!

UPA has made India's reputation dip!!!!

MV UPA rightfully now is a sinking ship!!

TRAI indeed is the worst regulator!!!! Really stinks!!! TRAI had said that there was no loss in the 2 G allocations!! Seems TRAI referred to Kapil Sibal's notes and used Kapil's calculations!! Now on the SMS bombardment that we mobile subscribers are subjected to day and night TRAI is in slumber!! This kind of 'nuisance messaging' is big money.... and the service providers definitely do not want this messaging to be even curbed!!! As usual Airtel is at the helm of the attempts of Service providers against blocking any 'nuisance messaging' curbing attempts!!

Another example of Big Business 'rules'!!!

And Public are treated like mules!!

Omar Abdullah took a Politician from across the border for a aerial joyride and of course India paid for the joyride!! After wasting India's money he then tweeted that he had taken a Politician from Azaad Kashmir...... now this shows his mindset!!!! Either his marital problems have made him go wonky or he believes that POK is Azaad Kashmir!!! He's proved time and again that he is unfit to be J&K's CM.......another example of 'those who parachute to the top'!!! Ordinarily he and you know who would not even get Junior Executive jobs based on their Resumes!!!

Why did the Lord spite Jannat on Earth with liars and the thankless?????

Had NN Vohra not been there with Omar at the helm J&K would have been headless!!!

PS.... Sahara says it raised 19,000 crores and it blames ROC for regulatory oversight!!!! There are three Ministers in UPA working overtime to get Sahara off the hook.... another example of Republic de Kela!!! In America they say Mohna has felt the 'fall in his image'.... someone even quipped ' why should he worry about fall in his image... he was just following orders'... the conclusion is of course obvious!! Joke maara....Scientists have found Neutrinos that move faster than light.....just drop a Rs. 500 note in front of PC ...... and you will have a entire body mass moving faster than light to pick up the Rs. 500 note.... only needs the right kind of motivation!!

DEBATE (1)

Long live this government

No there is no fear to bureaucrats as most of them are interested to work in peace and honestly. At present they have lot of pressures from the Politicians. The quality of service to the people will improve.

It has no relevance as in 80 percent cases, bureaucrats/scientist are appointed as advisors or consultants or they manipulate to get appointed in the academic institutions-for even administrative positions with the age limit of 65 years or so. even there are case where the persons are working even at the age of 68 years in the central govt. If these , so called indispensable professional, then why not make them 'damads' of the government till they leave this world. India is great nation with more than 60 percent of the the people are below the real poverty line. Long live this government for some elite persons.

Ravi

A good decision

A good decision if the extension drama of the government officials gets over. This will bring some change in the working system of the government.

Madan Mani

Has the media forgotten ?

Sir, It seems the media has forgotten about the CWG scam and Shunglu Committee report has also been forgotten. Culprits have to be punished. Public loot has to stop. If strict action not taken we will be considered a soft state who are tolerant to corruption and indulgent to the corrupt. In the first report of Shunglu Committee action was taken only against one person the head of Prasar Bharati. Why others were let off lightly. Surely scams are not done by single person but when whole system colludes with each other and files are built around it. What action has government taken in respect of other responsible persons named in other four reports of Shunglu Committeee. Through you esteemed site I wish to draw government attention to kindly taking strong action against all persons responsible for looting countries wealth.

Ram Prasad

Curious case of Madhya Pradesh Govt

It is strange that MP government continues to harass Ramesh Thete (IAS-1993) by denying him the due promotion, despite his getting exonerated by Supreme Court.

Surinder Singh Rawat

New standards of accountability

In this season of scams we are learning new standards of accountability-rather unlearning our old lessons. A spokesman of the Congress party said on a TV channel last night that if a note is seen by the minister it does not mean that it can be attributed to him. This could still be a note from the junior officer who signed it. Confused? Throughout one's official career one believed and rightly so that a note seen by the minister means that its contents are approved by him. Then there is this newspaper whose editor believes that a loss does not mean the same as criminal misappropriation.(The editorial in the Indian Express of today). We always believed and rightly so that if any decision of yours caused pecuniary loss to the exchequer you could be held responsible. If you deliberately sell Government property at a lower than the market price or procure material for Government at higher than the reasonable price you are responsible for that loss and while doing so you are helping the private players. The reasonable inference is that you are not doing so out of sheer incompetence but for some personal gain. In that sense loss and misappropriation cannot be seperated. By making such distinction and quibbling with words the editorial exposes the effort of this particular media to find defence for the accused in 2G scam. The Editor of this very Newspaper had also displayed his eagerness to defend the accused in another scam relating to Air India by terming the CAG's report as an act of fiction, at best 'a bestseller' in an article which appeared in the newspaper the other day. Why this newspaper the whole media appears to be taking sides this way or that way. Paid news is very much norm today.God save us from lies, frauds and cover-up all around.

Aarti Khosla

Now Raja is a scape goat

Promotion should be based on output

There should be mechanism to check this. The promotion should be based on output by the persons for place and the post because during deputation the concerned is neither accountable to the state he /she is posted nor the organisation he/she works. So the productivity /growth is for the concerned person not to the organisation.

RTI

Copy of agreement

The appellant sought detailed information about the installation of a cellular tower in the building of which he is a resident. The CPIO informed that the consent of the Secretary and Treasurer of the Association was taken before installation of the cellular tower in question but refused to provide information about (i) the rent being paid to the apartment owner on whose apartment the cellular tower has been set up and (ii) copy of the agreement between BSNL and the said apartment owner. The CIC rejected the arguement that the disclosure of this information would adversely affect the competitive position of BSNL. The CIC observed that the appellant has stakes in the building and its environment and the electro magnetic radiations emitted by the tower may affect him and directed to disclose the information.

Comments

This case opens up the numerous possibilities of the use of the RTI Act in the environmental protection. The PSUs are left in a position of disadvantage vis-à-vis their private sector counterparts.
