Aaj Ki Aawaz

Rajbala who was critically injured during Ramdev's fast at Ramlila Grounds is dead!!! And I feel PC is responsible for her death!!! He was the one who was pro the lathi charge to evict the protestors!! I've checked this out from Cops and they say unless Cops got orders from the very top they would never have resorted to a lathi charge.... do keep in mind up to the lathi charger Ramdev was a VVIP..... Ministers were receiving him and he was in constant touch with Ministers as per TV reports!!! So now PC has blood on his hands!!! To some extent Ramdev is to blame too.... he had mobilized these people and they were his responsibility.... and in the end what did Ramdev do.... he slinked away in a women's attire!!! PC had thought that his 'ruthlessness' in tackling the crowds at Ramlila Grounds would earn him kudos from Madam!! Now Madam will distance herself from him!!

Now people say.... yeh ghoos kahor hi nahi yeh to hathyaara hai!!!

Now other than kicking him out of power Sonia ke paas aur nahi koi chaara hai!!

Now it is being said Sarkaar will disown the revealing 2 G Note of MOF ..... how foolish!!! It'll be like admission of Sarkaar's complicity in this crime.... up to now only DMK was being blamed..... this note brings PC into the picture and if this note is disowned it'll be abs clear that Sonia and Congress Party got its share in this scam!!! Disowning the note will not change its content or Courts taking cognizance of the content!!! Pranab Da has not disputed the note...... he's just said PC's a 'valued colleague'.... the joke doing the round is that Pranab has sent a tacit message to PC ' I know your value'.... in Sonia's Darbaar and financially!!

PC has to go!!!!!

And by the looks of it Rahul is pressing his Mom to PC's going does not say 'no'!!!

How very apt...... Modi says 'company spoiled Mohna'!!!!! Mohna's example is indeed a classic one to illustrate 'affect of company' or like the say 'sangi badlle roop'!!! His goodness did not rub off on them .... their badness rubbed off on him!!! I did a mini survey on my own and for 5 days I asked all those who I met if they felt Mohna was honest and only 1% said they felt he was honest.......... 85% said he had metamorphosed into a Neta..... and believe it or not 14% said they felt he was never honest!!! No way does he come out as a Statesman!!!!

Dekh tehri image ki haalath kya ho gayi Manmohan Singh!!!

'Dill jhoota aur chehra sachcha' people sing ( the actual song is dill sachcha aur chehra jhoota)!

Rahul Gandhi is now headed for J&K.... the joke doing the rounds is now the next conclave for Dumb and Dumber is being held in Srinagar!! People classify Omar and Rahul in the same bracket..... the without merit parachuting kind!! Congress is in a tizzy.... Madam is said to be suffering from pancreatic cancer.... a virulent form of the disease.....Congressis keep lying that she's on the mend!!! Problem is Rahul's image continues to take a beating....... there is no sympathy factor for him on account of his Mom's illness!! Many say Senior Congressmen are in the process of making tie ups!! What was an impossibility ..... Congress without Gandhis.... now is a possibility!!!

Why is Sonia not getting Priyanka into the pic???

PS....... will Sonia reboot 'PC'....... no I think now it is time to discard 'this PC'!!!! When Dr. Haneef was wrongly jailed in Australia Mohna had said 'he could not sleep'.... will he lose sleep for Rajbala's demise??? Manpreet Badal after showing his patriotism by gelling with Bhagat Singh's kin has shown his true colours by allying with Commies.... we know where Commie loyalties lie... and now from Basanti Manpreet's trademark colour will change to red!!

Water supply for residents of Rawalpindi cantonment faces imminent threat of being cut off because of dispute between the cantonment board and Islamabad's Capital Development Authority (CDA). According to CDA the Rawalpindi cantonment Board (RCB) has failed to clear arrears of nearly Rs 90 million towards its share of operational costs of the Sangjani water filtration plant. Out of 23 million gallons daily (MGD) treated at the plant 8 MGD are given to the cantonment board but the board has been defaulting in payment of its share of operational costs - mainly electricity charges - @ Rs 5 million every month. Cantonment Board's CEO Rana Manzoor Ahmed Khan has termed the CDA's demand as inflated and assured to clear the dues if the dues are properly calculated and the CDA furnishes full back up data. The outstanding arrears according to Khan are Rs 55 million and not 90 million as claimed by CDA.

Any use attempting to prevent proliferation of corruption?

WIC 26/9 have some inspiring posts that need to be acknowledged! Read somewhere: why are we such a glum and depressed looking people? Somehow humour is missing from our daily diet of uninspiring news. So it agitates us if someone beyond 68 (May the Lord grant him/her 100 years of healthy life!) serves the government, even in an insignificant job. Such jobs are created only to justify the proposal for approval of the M/o Finance, without which not even one paisa can be spent. The figure of one is however very potent! See we pay 11 or 51 or 101 rupees to others on auspicious occasions. People in India offer their valuable services to the government for just one rupee! The GOI is no uncharitable institution to get free services, even if voluntarily offered. So there are uncountable nouns(sorry, proper nouns) who have rendered and even rendering such services for decades. I, as many more, know of a gentleman who served the GOI for 17 years(no joke pl)post retirement. What is the age 0f 68 compared to him? His services were so valuable that the concerned ministry smarted every time he upturned their views on the file, which was routine! It will come out as a piece of invaluable info if Dr Suresh Mehrotra, his team or any RTI expert could get the correct figures on such appointees. Now, for doing the same thing over and over again, it is such a wonderful exercise, only if you care to enjoy. What do you think the Planning Commission had been doing(I wouldn't know the present scenario)with all kinds of reports commissioned by it? First a report is commissioned. Then another is assigned to report on the report. It comes up with drawbacks of the first report (a la the then Finance Minister could have stopped it, when nobody knows anything about either the could or the would), necessitating another report to be commissioned. This practice was in use in the days of very poor salaries and pensions, when opportunities for re-employment in government or jobs in private sector(excepting glorified liaison officer) or in UN agencies were few and far between. Commissioning such reports got the person something to survive on. The only comfort in those days was a line from an Urdu couplet (Ek khel sikhata hun, roj khela kijiye, likh likh ke mera naam roj mitaya kijiye). We are a nation of people of robust rustic humour (I don't know why it is called rustic), which easily identifies several current names: we burn the effigy of Ravan, a symbol of all round corruption every year publicly. We should start performing the shradha of probity in public life similarly publicly. If this post goes into publication on 27/9, it will be the last day of this year's shradha. Then we can, like those being probed for DA cases, voice ourselves for probity for the full year and even associate or form new associations to prevent further proliferation of corruption!

RTI

Copy of agreement

The appellant sought detailed information about the installation of a cellular tower in the building of which he is a resident. The CPIO informed that the consent of the Secretary and Treasurer of the Association was taken before installation of the cellular tower in question but refused to provide information about (i) the rent being paid to the apartment owner on whose apartment the cellular tower has been set up and (ii) copy of the agreement between BSNL and the said apartment owner. The CIC rejected the arguement that the disclosure of this information would adversely affect the competitive position of BSNL. The CIC observed that the appellant has stakes in the building and its environment and the electro magnetic radiations emitted by the tower may affect him and directed to disclose the information.

Comments

This case opens up the numerous possibilities of the use of the RTI Act in the environmental protection. The PSUs are left in a position of disadvantage vis-à-vis their private sector counterparts.
