An extremely sad state of affairs

Railway Minister C O Joshi represents the largest constituent party in UPA. Vinay Mittal, Chairman, Railway Board, is a highly competent officer. Despite the above, if even routine administrative decisions
like promotions and transfers at highest level of Railway

administration, like those of General Managers and HAG officers are delayed for months, it is an extremely sad state of affairs, which an already ailing organization like Indian Railways can ill afford, Will
those in authority act ?

Eradication of Corruption and Right To Information Act

India is one country which is almost engulfed in corruption, and where the common man is suffocated ,highly uncomfortable, uneasy and completely dejected as there's hardly any political party or institution which has conviction or sincerety in bringing change to man made social evils. Corruption is eating away the fundamentals of Indian democracy, which the country has earned with the sincere and consistent efforts of patriots of the country and many of them even sacrificed their lives for such a valuable reward which the people of the country got in the form of Independence. But today perhaps ,the same countryman feel unhappy and disillusioned due to the corrupt policies of the politicians ,who enjoy the benefits by joining hands with the similar set of bureaucracy ,who too have compromised the moral values and service ethics, excepting few.

Thanks to the movement of members of Civil Society, the Act of Right to Information came into existence, reluctantly with the efforts of Country's parliament. Perhaps it is an opportunity for the Civil Society and the public at large to come forward and consolidate movement in the form of Social Activism , form few groups at grass root level and then at National level, which can bring transformation in the hopeless corrupt system to a clean and public welfare system .I am sure ,with a little effort by small groups of social activists, a revolutionary change in the depressed and hopeless system in the
country can be achieved.

If just a group of four to five social activists, sincerely keep an eye and monitor one ministry each and through RTI applications, try to bring transparency in a particular ministry, get the information open to the public in general, a radical change can be effected by just with the 30 to 40 groups of social activists i.e. with the committed efforts of about 100 to 200 social activist in a state, a revolutionary change can be brought into the existing rotten system. I believe the time is ripe ,when all patriotic countrymen would come forward and make a concerted and sincere effort through the Act of RTI, make this country real independent from corruption ,mal administration and evil forces ,who are working together to the
detrimental of the interest of general public.

Income Tax Refund

Income tax offices may at least start dispatching refunds for FY 2012-13 for the amount less than Rs. 10,000/ based on the ITRs filed without going into nitty gritty of the case. The people who do not pay tax enjoys more than the people who pays tax. Tax payers normally suffer and face harassment due to un-necessary quarries. When fair and transparent system will start working in tax departments. Are they really friendly, helpful and interactive? It is big question mark.
