People not understanding constraints of Government

The not so knowledgeable and populated people of the country are not understanding the constraints of the Government. Please understand that I am not trying to defend the Government. There is one policeman for 30,000 population of the country as against 1 for 900 in Italy. Now one may say that increase the number of policemen. The question will arise from where the money will come to pay their salaries. This can be done only if we receive the actual tax revenues of the country. Some of these people who crying on the streets may not have exposed their actual dealings when they would have purchased or sold their property. In their day to day affair also they may be trying to avoid paying tax and would be paying bribes, be it be the holiest one. Government will also have to mend its ways. One day I was standing at a shop in 'Khari Baoli', one man came and handed over his bag to the shopkeeper. The shopkeeper said abhi to diya tha. The man said that it may be for the MCD or Police and not for the IT Department. The Government (Ministry of Home Affairs) is also not taking action on some of the reports of second administrative commission relating to police reforms, judicial accountability bill, whistleblowers bill etc.

Also make legal heirs liable for punishment

As per present law criminal cases are dropped against an individual in the event of his/her demise. It would be worthwhile to consider amending the law to make the legal heirs of an individual liable for punishment for crimes committed by anyone in the event of the death of the wrongdoer. This may act as a deterrent as the dependants may also try to dissuade crminal activities.

Give chance to others to achieve equality

Continuation of Reservation: I am also from general class but I too support the reservation policy to SC, ST and OBCs to certain extent. But there should be some limit because the Doctor (politician) has become so much commercial that he is keeping patient(SC&ST) in ICU(reservation) after seeing his paying capacity and not as per health requirement. If one generation of some family has taken advantage of reservation in entering to a job then how again reservation is justified to the children of that person because there are many families of SC and STs who have never taken the benefit of reservation due to this creamy layer of SC and STs. Even children of SC and ST IAS,IPS,IRS,IFS,IRSE,IRTS,ITS,IRSSE,ISS etc officers are taking advantage of reservation? Please give chance to others also then only equality can be achieved.

Secularism - last refuge of politicians in India.

Rape is only a symptom of our all-round degeneration, the main cause of which is corruption .People lose their fear by seeing hundreds of crores being looted with out any fear of retribution day in and day out. They lose their values and fear of God, when they see corporators, MLAs amd MPs, once a common man suddenly becoming crorepatis. They lose their value when they see their elected Government helps criminals to escape as in the case of Quottrochi, Mulayam and Laloo. What happened to the Fodderr scam, CAG scam, Taj corridor scam,2 G scam. Swiss bank accounts and other scams. None of these criminals are going to be punished in their life time. Even Home Secretary has admitted hat only 52% of the rape cases in the country have been brought to a successful completion. This means a majority of rapists have escaped perhaps due to political support. Urge to wealth and urge for sex are human failings. The imbibed values put a control over it as also the fear, fear of the society, fear of the Government and the fear of God. If none is there men turns into animals. If there is any fear in those criminals, the Delhi incident would never have happened.

There is no doubt that better security should be provided to women and harsher and fast punishment should be given to offenders. At the same time drastic efforts should be made to decriminalise our politics and stop flow of easy and evil money. But this will be a difficult task as happened in the case of Anna's movement. We are a nation of tolerant. Our first PM, Nehru with his massive popularity could have foreseen the tragedy and corrected the path. But he was a dreamer and rather contributed to this mess. Faceless movements have no future. There should be a leader whom people can trust . Only politician whom I can see in our political horizon today to save this nation is Gujrat's Modi. But look at the way he is being thrashed by the so called
secularists and the paid channels day in and day put. In India secularism has become the last refuge of politicians.

Ludicrous comments on misuse of official vehicles

It's laughable to read ludicrous comment of some persons on misuse of official vehicles by few officers. Those in the know of things are aware that these people are speaking on behalf of a particular service which has license to all kinds of misuse for last 60 years. Go to any state capital and have a round of spacious bungalows of secretaries, collectors. In addition to huge bungalow over an acre of land you will see at least 3 cars/ SUVs. One for officer, one for family nd an extra. Even their dogs go for fresh air in the evening in car. I am not in favor of those misusing the official cars. But don't paint the entire service for misuse by few officers. Like in society, each service has all kinds of sheep. But if somebody is making generalized comment he has been obviously hired by some interested group.

Roof on head of a middle-class family, out of reach

One slum dweller has committed a heinous crime therefore slums should be removed will not be fare. We should have good governance so that people may not be forced to live in slums. Today politicians and bureaucrats are hand in glove with builder lobbies and a roof on the head of a middle-class family has gone out of their reach. Housing Boards and Development Authorities that were created for providing housing at affordable costs are setting benchmarks for the builder lobbies to sky-rocket the prices of houses. Crime committed by Ram Singh and cohorts must be condemned in strongest possible words and they also be given maximum punishment quickly but for heaven's sake do not paint all hapless inhabitants of the slums with one brush.
