Aaj Ki Aawaz

Jagan Reddy's alleged ---- crores..... did Jagan make this money?????

Or is it money that Papa made and was inherited by -----???

Post YSR's demise Jagan could not have made this money and when YSR

was alive Jagan was not ' in the thick of things' .....after YSR's

demise, that is when Jagan took the 'family business's' ropes in his

hand!!! This alleged amount is rumoured to be the money that YSR

made....and if he made this money as CM he would have had to pass on

share to 'Delhi'!!! And I'm sure today the same CBI that's going

hammer and tongs after Jagan will change track if Jagan goes back into

Congress...... actually Congress is like Ganga in which once you merge

all your 'sins are cleansed by CBI' ....caveat Congress has to be in

power..... and we know yeh Ganga aathi hai kahaa se aur jaathi hai

kahaa ko!!! No wonders after CBI got on his case Jagan announced that

he was willing to enter into an alliance with Congress..... but seems

Congress wants him back!!! There is also this rumour that he has not

handed over a considerable amount to 'Delhi' which YSR was to pay!!!

Congress (Narsimha Rao) had allied with BSP and soon Congress was on

the decline and BSP on the rise!!

And now it's done the same with Mamtha and she's cut Congress in

Bengal to size!!

I think Sonia's anger with PM is because he was on a war path with

Commies and hated Karat.... all because of the Nuclear Deal..... and

he was all for alliance with Mamtha!!! Congress bolstered Mamtha and

today Congress is nowhere in Bengal and Mamtha rules!!! What PM forgot

was that Mamtha is a 'commie in her own way'!!! Now Congress is

alleging that TMC is in understanding with BJP and TMC is alleging

that Congress is in talks with Commies.... on the latter I have

confirmation from 'ghoda's mouth'!!! Mamtha is not in talks with BJP

but she can forge an alliance in the future...... like they say in

politics do not rule out anything!!! What has really irked Congress is

the 'renaming undertaken by TMC'..... Congress feels this could lead

to more renaming.... after all it is felt that naming everything and

anything on the name of someone from Gandhi family's name has been

grossly overdone!!

BJP now trying to save face by saying Kushwaha will not get ticket!!

Many would say 'thook ke now Ghadkari is trying to lick it'!!

It's made Advani's anti corruption Yatra into a joke!!! Yes... yes...

I know the stakes in UP are sky high and every Political Party is

doing whatever possible to net vote catchers!!! But, then this

'desperation' also has to be correlated with the 'stick to be used

against other Parties' .... BJP was to use the corruption stick to

beat up Congress and BSP.... now it cannot!!! Its Ghadkari verses

Advani and Sushma!! Because of Ghadakar's blunder BJP has lost its

only issue to attack Congress and BSP..... now on what issue will it

attack Congress and BSP????? Without a doubt Ghadkari has shot BJP in

both feet!!

Seems Kejriwal and Bedi are on the back foot!!

Team Anna not campaigning in upcoming State election Congress ko karta

hai suit!!!

Okay Anna's been advised bed rest.... what's stopping Team Anna from

recording Anna's message from his hospital bed and then making a

presentation of how Congress has ditched Team Anna and then going to

UP and telling the Voters about corruption that has taken gigantic

proportions.. then linking corruption to inflation and economic

woes..... and linking corruption to India becoming 'insecure' on the

Food front!!! No names .... let the Voter decide who is responsible!!!

What surprises me is that till now both Kejriwal and Bedi had no

inhibitions about going on TV Channels and debates without Anna...

what's happened all of a sudden that now they want to go to the Poll

bound States holding Anna's dhoti (he does not wear a coat so cannot

say coattail)???? Seems they have taken the HIV needle threat very

seriously!!

PS...Digvijay has used many ploys to show that Anna is a RSS man...

latest one.... Anna is a RSS man as he has two eyes and one nose like

Sanghis!! Okay joining BJP does not make one pure.... but going by the

mood of the Nation joining Congress sure makes one look like a Chor!!

They say behind every successful marriage there is a 'silent man'!!!!

SAIL gets Skoch award for Financial Inclusion (UPDATED)
Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) bagged the Skoch award for Financial Inclusion under the category of 'Women Empowerment', in recognition of its multifold initiatives in the area of inclusive growth and poverty alleviation on the occasion of Financial Inclusion Day. On receiving the prestigious award from distinguished economist and former RBI Governer C Rangarajn at a glittering ceremony held in New Delhi, SAIL Chairman C S Verma said, "It is heartening to note that SAIL's role in building the socio-economic prosperity of its peripheral regions is being recognised at the national level". The award committee consisted of an eminent jury comprising industry leaders, domain experts, economists and academicians. The award specifically recognises three special initiatives taken by SAIL which have yielded immense benefits at the local level - Project Kishori at Rourkela, Project Swayamsiddha at Bhilai and Project Multi-Skilled Garment Technician Training at Salem. Initiated in March 2010, Project Kishori was undertaken by SAIL's Rourkela Steel Plant to bring about empowerment of adolescent girls and women in the peripheral villages of Rourkela in science & technology, and to enhance the ability of women to influence the direction of social change. Project Swayamsiddha of Bhilai commenced in July 2007 with the objective of capacity building and financial literacy of underprivileged women through formation of self-help groups (SHGs). The scope of the project included awareness creation, formation of SHGs, imparting of skill, installation of unit with basic infrastructural support from SAIL's Bhilai Steel Plant, forward and backward linkages for the unit, followed by gradual withdrawal and handing over the project to SHG. Under both the projects, women were trained in skills in different occupations such as food processing, mushroom cultivation, food adulteration test, vermi composting, soil testing, land and water management, artificial jewellery making, handicrafts, stitching, box making, candle making, e-learning, and basic adolescent health and woman's rights. Besides, SAIL Bhilai Steel Plant also introduced an all-expenses-paid adoption scheme for tribal girls from naxal affected Baster region to train them in B.Sc. Nursing course in a reputed institute at Bhilai. So far 10 girls have been adopted under the scheme. The Multi-Skilled Garment Technician Training Project of SAIL's Salem Steel Plant started in March 2010 empowered women by training them in tailoring. At first level, training was imparted to village women and girls in basic skill development and garment making. At the next level, 105 rural women were enrolled in a professional course and provided training in industrial garment making and surface ornamentation. Guided by the CSR motto of 'making a meaningful difference in people's lives', SAIL has established 53 Primary Health Centres, 7 Reproductive and Child Health Centres, 18 Hospitals and 7 Super-Specialty Hospitals providing specialised healthcare to almost 31 million people. The company has also opened over 139 schools in the steel townships that provide modern education to about 63,000 children. Besides adopting and providing free education and facilities to tribal children, SAIL is supporting over 254 schools. While an ITI has been started at Gua Mines in Jharkhand, the process for setting up an ITI at Jagdishpur in UP has been initiated.

DEBATE (1)

Right from the time of Y B Chauhan and L P Singh to P Chidambram, till he was MoS(P) and MoS(IS), in MHA I myself have seen and shared lift with them. On the lift at Gate No.4 of North Block the employees used to give way for these persons to take the lift to 1st Floor solely but they used to invite staff to come to lift and share it with them till 1st floor and then go to 2nd floor. Their prestige was not lessened. They were Secretaries and Minister and remained so even after travelling in the lift with staff. It was the period when L K Advani became HM and Deputy PM that the convention of security staff blocking the lift for the Minister started and is now being followed by Ministers including Chidambram and Secretaries. I can cite an example when the then EO argued with Shri Chidrambram and responded I agree Sir. Addressing as Sir by a Minister to a Secretary or even a junior senior by age as Sir does not lower the status or prestidge of the
Minister or Secretary. I think CM, Orissa is wrong in this regard.

Why such provision under IT Act?

Part III - Fundamental Rights' enshrines a charter of rights contained in the Constitution of India. It guarantees civil liberties such that all Indians can lead their lives in peace and harmony as citizens of India. These include individual rights common to most liberal democracies, such as equality before law, freedom of speech and expression, freedom of association and peaceful assembly, freedom to practice religion, and the right to constitutional remedies for the protection of civil rights by means of writs such as habeas corpus.
Violations of these rights result in punishments as prescribed in the Indian Penal Code, subject to discretion of the judiciary. But in practice it is not followed. As for instance, allowances to High Court and Supreme Court Judges of whatever nature are exempt from Income-tax. In this country when a poor man's income is not exempt from Tax, then why such provision has been kept under Income Tax Act for members of the judiciary?

RTI

Certified copies of the photocopies

Background

The appellant sought certain attested documents and information regarding the rule of the RTI Act, under which the attested copies of documents should be given. The PIO denied the attested copies of documents claiming that the Public Authority does not possess original documents. The Commission directed the PIO to provide the relevant provision of law to the appellant regarding attestation and to supply attested copies of the photocopies of documents available in the records to the Appellant along with a note on each page clarifying that the same are only copies of photocopies and not copies of the original documents.

Comments

The RTI Act empowers the citizens of India to obtain certified copies of the documents from the Government Organisations and the PIO should not refuse to certify the documents even if the Public Authority does not possess the original documents. In such cases, a note should be given that they are only copies of photocopies and not copies of the original documents. It should be remembered that certified copies of the original may be used as an evidence in a court of law.
