Misleading comparison

The statement that USA has a diplomatic corps of 20,000 as against India's IFS strength of 775 is highly misleading and ill-informed because the entire 20000 are not diplomats but includes other subsidiary and supporting staff; otherwise with only 100-odd major countries in the world a diplomat-strength of 20,000 will mean 200 'diplomats' for each country! India also has an IFS-B and other subsidiary services as also officers drawn from various other cadres
like RAW, IPS, IRS, etc manning the missions abroad.
