Don't allow reservation benefit to fourth generation

If three generations of reserved category people have taken benefit of reservations/promotions in government services, then the fourth generation should not be allowed the benefit. We should identify other category of reserved category people, who have so far not taken the benefit of reservations and consider their cases. Secondly, there should be no substitute to hard work, labor, sincerity and honesty in the matter of both education and service. Why don't you people work hard and get jobs solely on the basis of merit?

Why Not Mr/Madam Governor Only?

We seem to be good at just changing names, not imparting grandeur to new names or existing names. So Connaught Place is now Rajiv Chowk/Indira Chowk, Bombay is Mumbai and Bangalore has lost its idiomatic connotation of Bangalored/Bangaloring etc and is now Bangaluru. But changing forms of address is a very serious matter. Like it or not, we refuse to give due respect to the chair as we are not used to any administrative hierarchy other than bequeathed to us by the British. We are not trained to use appropriate forms of address and acknowledge the position of the person. The media revels in contemptuously calling public servants as Babus/Babudom and highly knowledgeable Members of Parliament/Ministers as mere Netas. It is sometimes really offending when the Prime Minister is reduced to mere Manmohan Singh or Atal Behari Vajpayee. This seems to be reason why in school we are taught to write an application to the Head Master/Principal observing proper form. Here we are trapped in an inane controversy whether to use the term His Excellency or Honourable or anything else (Mahodaya, sounds a potential language threat in the fragile politics of the election-centric democracy of the Republic of India). But Excellency is a term in currency globally. That is how Heads of State are addressed in formal discussions. We will hardly be more humble by substituting it for another term, excepting massaging our own little egos. Besides, who said the Governors are always "Honourable"? They are not. Many of them play party games to regain their ministerial positions back so that they get another opportunity to indulge freely in their Raja/Rani games. We can only petition the President to kindly reconsider his decision of changing these terms and impart dignity to the protocol by directing his Governors to win the trust and respect of the people. If a change is considered the sine qua non of democratic India, let it be simply Mr/Madam Governor and no more Honourable etc.

Orders For Member Engineering (Railway Board ) ?

What is the use of appointing lower cadre when there is turmoil in the higher up appointments? Will the minister commit the same blunder as Mamata of overlooking the right deserving candidate who is honest, upright , diligent and has put in tremendous efforts in writing the Railway Manual ?
