Cong now on verge of collapse in MP and Chhattisgarh!
Is Congress now on the verge of collapse in MP and Chhattisgarh too
? Speculations to this effect have taken birth, given the fact, that
wherever it has lost more than two state elections in a row, it has
been decimated. Being out of power for over two decades in Uttar Pradesh,
Gujarat and Bihar, it has now reduced to little or no presence. Continuous
defeats have made its presence marginal in some other states viz. Tamil
Nadu, Odisha, Punjab and West Bengal and in all these places too, the
chances of recovery are bleak. Though only time will decide its fate
in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh - where it has lost for a third time
in a row, the pattern has been that wherever the Congress loses continuously
more than twice, it just collapses.
Will it now be technocrats versus bureaucrats
?
Given the Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's call to the IITians
to 'come help build Delhi', will it be technocrats versus bureaucrats
(specially IAS) in the days to come. Let's wait and watch.

Some Congmen jittery about supporting AAP
Some Congress-wallahs appear to be jittery about supporting AAP. They
feel that if Kejriwal succeeds in fulfilling his election manifesto
promises they will be thrown out on the way side in the coming Lok Sabha
elections. Those who are in favour of support fondly hope that he will
fail to deliver and that will revive the fortunes of the party. In any
case AAP cannot succeed in delivering if these eight MLAs veto every
proposal of them. In that event Congress will be further exposed. We
are indeed witnessing a very interesting phenomenon in our politics
and those of us who welcome ethics and probity in public life wish the
AAP experiment to succeed.

Should the 25% account holder be provided the bank account
details?
The appellant's request for the details of a bank account was
denied by the PIO referring to the appellant as the 'third party'.
The appellant claimed that the denial was not correct as he had
sought information regarding an entity in which he is a 25% share
holder and a director. The appellant sought information about
certain balance sheet, insurance charges, cash credit limits and
information about the alleged misappropriation. The respondent
bank stated that the bank had denied the information to the appellant
as it seems that there is a family dispute and that the appellant
is a brother of the person who is running the entity. The respondent
stated that they have no intention to withhold any information,
but are awaiting an authority letter from the company in favour
of the appellant to provide the information. The CIC directed
the respondent to provide the information to the appellant within
30 days on the condition of receipt of the requisite letter of
authority.
Comments
The details of bank account are personal information and are
held by the bank in fiduciary capacity. Even a 25 % account holder
is not eligible to get the information unless approved by the
account holder.
