We spoke to bureaucrats in most of the states and the outcome is- If
Lok Sabha elections are held today the Congress will get 120 seats and
the BJP 180 seats. The Congress will lose in mainly Maharashtra, Andhra
Pradesh, Haryana,Uttar Pradesh ,Uttarakhand and Delhi.
OECD commercial oil stocks rises by 19.2 mb
OECD commercial oil stocks rose by 19.2 mb, but remained broadly in
line with the five year average. Crude showed a surplus of 18 mb over
the five-year average, while product inventories stood at a deficit
of 19.0 mb. In terms of forward cover, OECD commercial oil stocks stood
at 59.1 days, some 1.1 days above the five-year average. Preliminary
data shows that US commercial oil stocks rose by 15.5 mb in May, a surplus
of 45.0 mb over the five-year average, with crude at 35.9 mb and products
at 8.8 mb above the five-year average.

Krishnamurhty returns to Kerala
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved premature repatriation
of M N Krishnamurhty, IPS(KL-84), presently working as Chief Vigilance
Officer in the Bharat Electronics Limited, Bangalore under the Department
of Defence Production, to his parent cadre, with the condition that
the name of the officer will be considered for the future deputation,
only after the officer has completed the prescribed period of 'cooling-off'
in the cadre, after the expiry of the unfinished tenure of his central
deputation on the post held by him at the time of his premature repatriation.
Sanjeev Kumar is now Mission Director
Sanjeev Kumar has taken over as Mission Director, Jawaharlal Nehru National
Urban Renewal Mission (JNNURM) Ministry Housing & Urban Poverty.

The post of Director, Technical (Project & Planning), South Eastern
Coalfields Limited (SECL) has been lying vacant since March, 2012. Meanwhile,
C B Sood, ED, CIL, was selected for this post, but he has not received
orders so far. The vacancy has arisen with the appointment of Gopal
Singh as CMD, Central Coalfields Limited (CCL).
Uttarakhand Govt refuses to relieve Dr Dobhal
The Government of Uttarakhand is understood to have refused relieving
Dr Rajendra Dobhal of the post of DG, UCOST and joining as Chairman
and Managing Director (CMD), National Research Development Corporation
(NRDC), due to natural calamity in the state. He was to join before
June 30, 2013.

As many as nine officers belonging to Indian Police Service (IPS) have
been transferred and posted at different places in Karnataka. Accordingly,

while M Nanjundaswami will now be Joint Commissioner, Crimes, Bangalore

H S Venkatesh is SP, Internal Security Division, Bangalore. Similarly,
Pawar Pravin Madhukar has been appointed as Deputy Commissioner, Traffic
(East), Banglore City, Bangalore; M N Nagaraj as SP, Intelligence, Bangalore;
B S Lokesh Kumar as SP, Dharward district, Dharwad; R Ramesh as Deputy
Commissioner, CAR Headquarters, Bangalore and M Muthuraya was made Deputy
Commissioner of Police, Administration, Bangalore.

HUDCO hands over highest ever dividend to
GoI (UPDATED)
HUDCO has declared a total dividend of Rs. 150 crore for the financial
year 2012-2013 which is the highest ever payment of dividend to the
Government of India by HUDCO. Out of this total amount, Rs. 103.78crore
is payable to Ministry of Housing &Urban Poverty Alleviation, Rs.
15.12 crore to Ministry of Urban Development and Rs.31.10 crore to the
Ministry of Rural Development. V P Baligar, Chairman & Managing
Director, HUDCO along with NL Manjoka, Director Corporate Planning (HUDCO)
and A K Kaushik, Director Finance (HUDCO) presented the cheque to Dr
Girija Vyas, Minister for Housing & Urban Poverty Alleviation in
the presence of A K Misra, Secretary, HUPA. In the financial year 2012-13,
HUDCO has registered highest ever net profit (after tax) of Rs. 700.56
crore, and has recorded the highest ever level of sanctions of Rs. 23,974
crore.

All-India recruitment drive of SAIL gets overwhelming
response (UPDATED)
Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), the leading steel producer
of the nation and a Maharatna Company, regularly inducts young, qualified
and professional talents in frontline managerial cadre. The recruitments
have been to the tune of over 600 engineering graduates every year keeping
in view the on-going massive expansion and modernization programme involving
investment of Rs. 72,000 crores approx. The requirements are assessed
on annual basis and are notified in the SAIL website as well as published
in leading national newspapers. The process has been attracting high
number of applicants from leading institutes across the country, with
an overwhelming response of over 180,000 applicants in the year 2013.
Selection for the same is based on an extensive written examination
followed by group discussion and interview. During the current year,
the test was scheduled in 29 cities covering 20 states at 214 test centres.
Each centre was headed by a Test Centre Incharge assisted by representatives
from the agency and supervised by nominee officials of SAIL. More than
7500 invigilators and other support staff were deputed across the test
centres for ensuring effective conduct of the test. In addition to the
above, to ensure a fair and free test, the law and order authorities
were informed about the centres, timings etc. and requested for due
deployment. The written examination scheduled on 14th July 2013 was
conducted smoothly across the country except for two centres at Patna
where certain irregularities were reported. The irregularities, as reported,
related to usage of high tech gadgets by some unscrupulous elements
for resorting to unfair practices during the examination. These elements
have been apprehended by the alert law and order authorities. SAIL,
in consideration of the seriousness of the incident has ordered a retest
in these two centres only, which will be conducted within the next two/
three weeks.

Such grant of SAG is everyday occurrence in one service or other and
this eminent website which is a mine of information should not be clogged
