Unresponding Income Tax department

The Income Tax department wants the citizens to not only e-file the annual return but then take another form ITR V and send it by post to the CPC office at Bangalore on receipt of which they are expected to send an email to acknowledge receipt of the ITR V. For an ITR V posted on July 2, 2013,one is yet to get the email acknowledgement from the CPC at Bangalore and there is no indication when it will be received, whether it will be received at all, and why it is delayed. A reminder email sent to the CPC is not received by their server. So this is the state of affairs in the income tax office at Bangalore. What is the citizen to do with such an unresponsive and uncaring department ?

The Ministry of Finance has refused Department of Post for starting own post bank. Postal department applying for license to run a postal bank now in crises. They have started in massive stage core banking solution called CBS and 1600,000 crores is being spent on implementing IT program. The PMU unit of department of post is under Alok Saxena, DDG (PMU) and Secretary of Board. Saxena has great experience of working in Department of Personnel and Training and Ministry of Finance. These two ministries openly acknowledge his great contribution. Now a days Saxena has gone to Turkey, London and USA and is busy globe trotting to collect vital inputs for the Department of Posts. Had he been in India, the Department of Post would have got the post bank license by now. His being away is greatest loss to the department. Secretary Post also finds him indispensable and is thinking of re-calling him as this is crucial project. Saxena has been the author of the 6th pay commission as per his own admission. The officers in the ministry of finance fondly remember his slogging like a slave for success of 6th Central Pay Commission. Now Secretary Posts Mrs P Gopinath has ordered to resubmit proposal afresh to Ministry of Finance under the guidance of Saxena. He is the game changer and is force behind success of the Department. Postal officers fondly call him Change Agent. There are few officers who single handedly can change face of the department. Saxena is one such officer. Now demands are coming from other such countries like Bangladesh and Pakistan who want Saxena to visit there country and give lectures on his success story on how to implement PMU in there country. This is great international opportunity. Saxena is known as face of India Post within country and outside he is known as face behind success of India Post. We need more such officers.
