Things ruining the country these days
These are some of the things ruining the country these days:- (i) Feudalism of senior officers/ministers. (ii) Corruption persisting amongst government servants. (iii) Lackadasical and apathetic attitude of government employees. (iv) Lack of decision making at various levels in government functioning - In anticipation of fear of questioning due to judicial/media activism, RTI Act's transparency, unpredictable / incorrect nature of inquiry by CBI (which consists of only people on deputation from the police force, who are mediocres) wherein they could interpret a different meaning to a 'simple word' on file written with right intentions and the attitude of all current government employees . (v) Delays - because of lack of knowledge of citizens about the rules and regulations of the Government, wherein they want that their work should be done by hook or crook. Many even don't know how to fill forms and what their duties are as citizens. Many of them make a mockery of Adhaar and UDAI Card.

Right of wife in paternal property uncalled for
The law relating to the right of wife in paternal property being mooted by the Government is most uncalled for and wrong. Two cases will elucidate the same:- (i) One idealist family had married son to the daughter of family having four daughters and one son. They did not take any dowry and also got the marriage performed very simply. In fact all the remaining daughters got married in a similar way. Seeing his luck the father of the four daughters capitalized on it and Infact also used money earned by the daughters, as a result earnings through their jobs, for marriage purpose. However, when the question of his son came he took dowry and got all his property transferred in the name of his son.

(ii) Three sisters, all psychiatrist cases, got separated from their husbands and are living together in Gurgaon along with their father. They are delaying decision on their divorce cases by frequently absenting from hearings. Do they have any right on the paternal property of their husband?

Fix responsibility
This is regarding mid-day meal comments by all on this forum. I feel nothing happens in India as children involved are poor and they do not have JUGAR. If Bihar CM really wants to give justice to these children, responsibility is fixed and harsh punishment be given to those involved in this careless attitude.

Harish Kumar

Change the rules
Regarding school children's death in Chapra, Bihar in mid day school meals, this is to suggest that to ensure quality and safe and hygienic food to the children, the rules should be made in such a way that the school principal, I/c teacher and cook should eat the meal first and then only it should be served to the children. Not only that, occasionally when inspection is made by the education department officials, district administration officials or the DM/Collector - he should also make a surprise taste check of the food served which will ensure that safe hygienic and quality food is served to the children. To do so or failing to taste the food should be treated as administrative negligence and people should be taken to task. A quality register should be maintained in the school that the food has been tasted and found to be in good condition before children are served the food. The register should have the signature of the cook, teacher I/c and the principal and there should be enough financial provision for providing ration to these people.

Vardan

What a serious crime in a School ?
Majority of the children who lost their lives belonged to SC/ST communities. Why not the culprits be booked under Prevention of Atrocities Act, 1989. Have the National Commissions for SC and ST taken this up with the investigating agencies?

TAIL=PIECE

Indians have a rare sense of humor.

A very apt description of INDIA TODAY

New Greetings from India.
May your happiness increase like Petrol Price,
May your sorrow fall like the Indian Rupee, and
May your joy spread in your heart like Corruption spreads in India…!!!

Congress is fulfilling its promise,
When they said: GDP will rise this year.
The only thing we forgot to ask them is its full form:
G= Gas & Gold
D= Diesel & Dollar
P= Petrol & Parties

Dear Father-in-Law,
I deeply regret taking a Car in dowry.
Please take your Daughter or Car back…
I cannot afford both.

Soon, Rupee will be SENIOR CITIZEN
(above Rs.60 per US Dollar);
Petrol has already become VERY SENIOR CITIZEN
In Bangalore (Rs.81 per litre) !!!

Finally it has happened…After decades,
Beer is now cheaper than petrol !!!
Now, there will be new slogan:

JUST DRINK; DON'T DRIVE !!!

We have the world's cheapest car
And the world's costliest petrol.
Sign board at Petrol pump:
Buy Petrol worth Rs. 20,000
And get a TATA Nano absolutely free.
