CISF now has 4th Reserve Battalion at Sivagangai in TN (UPDATED)
Union Finance Minister P. Chidambaram on Sunday praised the role being played by CISF in maintaining the internal security of the country and hoped that it would attain a new height in the days to come. The Minister inaugurated the newly constructed Campus of CISF 4th Reserve Battalion at Karaikuti, Sivagangai (Tamil Nadu) when he also assured the force for all the support from the Government of India. Union Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde who presided over the function also appreciated the functioning of CISF and said that with the establishment of CISF Reserve Battalion at Sivagangai, the need of internal security requirements would be taken care of for Tamil Nadu and other neighbouring States. Rajiv, DG/CISF expressed his heartfelt gratitude to both the Ministers and elaborated that this CISF battalion came into existence only due to the support of Chidambaram. Earlier, when the CISF Reserve Battalion stationed at Arakkonam was converted into a NDRF Battalion, a need was felt to establish a Reserve Battalion of CISF in the southern part of India. Inspector General, CISF South Sector, Chennai Jayanth Murali, proposed a vote of thanks.

Debate on WIC was important and informative too

Debate on reservation was important and very informative and if readers observe decency in comments, it can continue. It covered 'related-to-reservation' views of readers ranging from Vedas to Smiritis, Muslim invasion to British invasion, Simon Commission to Round Table Conference, Poona Pact to Mandal Commission till 2013. The Editor in Chief and team deserves appreciation. One can say at least there is some one in media who dares to publish pro- reservation views and also anti. Otherwise, traditionally Indian media is seen as anti-Dalit and anti-reservation. I must say Whispersinthecorridors is different.

The views of Whisperss on the subject of retirement age is totally correct. Even the government should think of shedding the non-performing employees by imposing compulsory retirement. Work study should be done and many posts should be reallocated.

KB don't try to sarcastic by suggesting that the retirment age should be brought to 35-40 years for attracting young talents. Are you a candidate desiring to live on the tax payers money for some more years?. In fact feudalistic and corrupt people have such desires. Don't try to play against the natural forces. If a man has come on this earth, then one day he has to go.

Don't try to reverse process of nature !

It is only those persons who are on the verge of retirement, enjoying perks & perquisites and are 1/4th from the graveyard are propagating the cause of the increase of retirement age for people who thrive on tax payers money. Majority of the Delhi Administration School Teachers are into the business of property dealing in somebody else's name. If some strict scrutiny is done, then you will find that most of them have sub-let their teaching job to some person or the other.
One girl was a Lecturer in one of the Government colleges in U.P. She got married and was required to move to Mumbai where her husband was doing job. She went to the college and gave her retirement papers to the Principal. The latter said 'why are you taking retirement'. Let your salary continue to come, we will share it 50% each for all times to come. There may be innumerable number of aforesaid cases. Once again I plead that think of the coming generation to come. Your innings is over and you should leave the crease. Even if you still want to do something for the society, please do it free of cost in the form of consultancy etc.

Raising retirement age would bring in serious consequences

It is ironical in country where the population is unlimited and seems would remain so for another few decades, raising the retirement age would bring in serious consequences for the gen Young. Those who feel that they still have few more years in them of true public service should dedicate them at no cost to GoI instead of eating into the aspiring youth. My personal view permits me to vouch that this be reduced for two more years so that extremely huge expenditure incurred on the medical n health in old age could further be saved and people will have more face and time for volunteer services,

Mismanagement of Police leadership

If constable is getting a day off for the first time in his 29 years of police service , it is attributable to complete failure and gross negligence and mismanagement of Police leadership. First thing that is taught in respective Academies is man management based on the principle of leading by example, All the academies that prepare leaders with regimental pattern of training of an infantry combatant also teach you the principles of proper, rest and relief for your human element of your formation. The Police organizations are victims of gross negligence and mismanagement of ceremonial IPS cadre because people recruited are substandard material, devoid of leadership qualities, UPSC has no testing system to check their aptitude necessary for policing and leadership positions. It is our hardly working police, where every one is trained to pretend as professional and blame every failure on political leadership. fact is we have Babus pretending as Police officers. Policing is a purely street job for which if you gain all the experience while sitting in the four walls of office, you will end up as a Babu, who will know how to write misleading reports but wouldn't know how to practically manage rest and relief to your manpower and how to take decisions based on sound policing experience but resort to political decisions in accordance to the proximity to political leadership.

Partiality in CBDT

Transfers orders passed by CBDT on 21.06.2013 clearly smack of partiality and possibly there are some other reasons in these transfers other than those mentioned in the transfer orders . There is no reason why officers transferred to Directorates should be brought back to field and vice versa. Why there should be retransfers at the same station .

The suggestion by one of the friends to have 10 - 15 posts of Additional Secretaries for CSS on the pattern of Pakistan is amusing. Please be aware of what's happening in their bureaucracy. Also, he wants CSS promotees to equate the IAS at AS/Secretary level? Please think beyond personal elevations.

NSSO enhances feel good factor

According to the NSSO's 68th Round of survey, poorest of the poor in India survive on barely Rs.17 per day in villages and Rs.23 a day in cities. Two years ago, the Planning Commission drew flak for setting the poverty line at Rs.26 per capita per day in rural areas and Rs.32 per capita per day in urban areas. Seems to be true. Members of Parliament survive on a THALI in Parliament House costing Rs 10.The UPA-II ensures food security for MPs Who cares for declining GDP and galloping inflation and record-breaking corruption ?Every thing is hunky dory.
