Some AICC leaders favour early LS polls due to Karnataka victory feel good

As there is a feel good factor in the party after its victory in the just-held Karnataka polls, a section of leaders in the AICC are in favour of holding early polls to Lok Sabha as they fear that party's debacle in the elections in four states _ Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Delhi _ might further lower the morale of the party cadre which might have negative impact on the performance of the Congress in the general election if the polls are held as per schedule, said a senior Congress leader, who was in Bhopal the other day to attend a party conclave.

What CBI wants to know in Railway System ?
1. The case of Mahesh Kumar, Member Board, is the front of investigation where all the evils have been revealed.
2. Some officers were considered fit for becoming DRMs for long successive years but when their turn were about to come they were given unfit. Same for General managers for open line. Thus depriving them of their opportunity for further career growth as DRM posting is considered key.
3. Normally, vacancies should be filled in serial order with the panel DRMs and GMs i.e. First vacancy be filled by first candidate in the panel and same serially for subsequent candidates (except for GMs fitness for open line etc is considered). This has not been done. Effected GMs are in NFR/Construction, NE Railway etc.
4. In one case, a General Manager of integrity and honesty was to be posted in Southern Railway as per the rule. Grapevine is that one Southern Railway Union leader sent a representation through a DMK MP recommending someone else. Minister of Railways Pawan Bansal further recommended the same to PMO for the change after postings had been approved. Game was done and honest GM was posted to NE Railway !!Similarly one GM eligible for posting in open line was posted in NF/ Construction else he would have been in the race of Member (Electrical).
5. The manner in which double charges are being given to one incumbent. Also, criteria for postings in Railway Board as well as Zonal Railways. There are a lot of representations that percentage of SC/ST/OBCs, due to transfers, is extremely high in NF Railway whereas most others are in plenty in Metros and Board due to bias and favoritism.

Sigh of relief

The exit of the CBDT head honcho PK Saxena has brought a sigh of relief to the department. The orders of Chief Commissioners are arguably the worst orders passed in the history of the department. It was wrong for the retiring Chairperson to pass such orders within a day of her superannuation and causing such massive upheaval. Wrong doers and CBI indicted officers have been rewarded while all the officers who were working in the Board and Directorates have been thrown out without any reason. The capricious and self serving nature of the order makes it clear that there is something gravely wrong in the state of CBDT. The FM speaks of transparency but is unaware of the games being played under his very nose. The CCIT orders should be rescinded and the orders already created by the departed Chairperson also be held to public scrutiny. If any lack of transparency , blatant violation of policy and other wrongdoing be found , the role of the erstwhile Chairperson be examined properly. This is the need of the hour if the FM wants the Income Tax Department to collect the high budget targets as the officers in the department are completely demoralized due to the high handedness of the erstwhile head.

Listen to the talk in the corridors carefully

Close on the heels of the Railway Board Member appointment scandal which took the scalp of a Union Minister, there is a scandal brewing in the Central Board of Direct Taxes. It is common knowledge that the outgoing Chairperson PK Saxena was hell bent upon passing the Transfer orders. In the last fortnight, she browbeat, scolded and bullied the placement committee to pass orders even though the Revenue Secretary and even the FM were not happy with the utter lack of preparation in the orders. Chief Commissioner Orders were sent back six times before they could pass muster. Eventually very partisan and unholy orders were passed. The Revenue Secretary and the FM should listen to the talk in the corridors carefully if they want the CIT orders to be passed in a fair and transparent manner. The aggrieved parties to the order of CCIT are now planning to go to Court for the utter lack of policy behind the order.

Good sign in government organization

A good sign in government organisation that people are coming out openly against the injustice done. The area of probe must be enlarged to all transfers in all groups from group"D" to "A", in over Indian Railways all zones.

Check media or our democracy will be at stake

I am amazed to see the channels especially the visual going all hogs at the throat of one Srnivasan who is the head of one of the sports associations. All other news of national importance are given a go bye. As much as 75 percent of the broadcasting time was spent on news and debates on this subject. A parade of people inimical to Srinivasan was presented day in and day out, People who are silent were shown in bad light and even the captain not being spared. It has all the ingredients of a Kangaroo Court, media being the prosecutor and judge all in the name of Indian public. The triumvirate of black money, media and an able administration has dwarfed competitive and physical games like foot-ball and hockey where we once excelled. Media knows very well that cricket is neither the bread and butter nor the life line of this country. Many viewers disgustingly switch of their TVs. Then what prompted media to even risk their USP on Srnivasan. If somebody smells a rat, he cannot be blamed. Atleast too many in public, it
has shown the irresponsibility and the suspicious funding of the present day media. Unless this tendency is curtailed even our democracy will be at stake.

Adopt a creamy layer in SC category

There is an elite in SCs which has developed a vested interest in perpetual reservations so that they can become IAS officers for three and more generations and no other SCs can do so since no other SCs will be able to compete with these rich, powerful, third generation IAS officers. The only way in which the poor and downtrodden SCs can be liberated from such Vibhishanas is to adopt a creamy layer in the SC category.

Request to all reservation champions

I request all champions of reservation to watch the history channel serial - The Kenedys' They would realise that how fair was India even in the past and how comfortable were the Dalits in India. Just for one admission of a negro student Meredith, that too in 1961 not in ancient times, the USA Supreme Court had to intervene and the Prez had to send national guards as he was being refused admission in university on the basis of his skin color. This happened in a country which had a constitution in 1789 declaring equality to all. .Imagine if this had happened in independent India ? All politicians would have cried like widows and those persons would have been termed as worse than Changhez Khan to refuse admission and reservations would have gone up by further 20% .we are killing our own talent like no other country on the earth can ever imagine even in its most negative dreams .

Seeking justice

What we are seeking is justice against the forward communities. It is quite OK. This is a good rationale that they should get special opportunities. But the same rationale applies that the most forward in SC/ST/OBC should leave the greed and let percolate the benefits to the most deprived. What is the problem here ? It is same logic. The progressed have no harm because their community will still continue to get favour. That is the heart burn, what is wrong with that. It is unfortunate that their leaders have never worried about the lower most and have left them on their plight just to garner votes for people who are literate and can make noise. What about those who cannot speak for themselves.
