The Sri Lankan Tamil "genocide" will certainly be the most emotional political issue in the 2014 elections. What happened at dinner between Gadkari and Raj Thackeray ?

A lot mud slinging has happened over the irrigation scam with MNS calling BJP hand in glove with NCP over the issue. The stung state BJP has convinced the central leadership that it has nothing to do with MNS and that it will continue with its old ally Shiv Sena. Will Musharraf contest election from Chitral ?
If Pakistan's former army chief and President Parvez Musharraf comes to Pakistan to participate in the forthcoming general elections he will contest from the Chitral National Assembly seat (NA 32) in the Malakand division of Khyber Pakhtunkhwaha province (formerly known as NWFP) of Pakistan. In case of Musharraf not being able to contest for some reason, his wife Sehba will. Chitral has been selected because during Musharraf's rule massive funds were sanctioned for development projects in the constituency which had earlier suffered neglect under successive regimes. Jamayte Islami's Abdul Akbar Chitrali who won the seat in 2002 has also announced his candidature and may be a serious contender against Musharraf.

Promotions a mockery in CBEC

Every time you read any news on the plight of the once esteemed IRS. Your heart is filled with anguish and disgust .At the time of joining no one knows which service is what and often many candidates fall into a trap called the IRS.A service with the least facilities and the slowest promotions in the top civil services recruited through the Civil Services Exams.23 years for commissioner which makes you entitled for a silly thing called a vehicle whereas the IAS and IPS from day one are entitled for a vehicle. and if you compare the type 4 houses of the senior IRS officers with the 5 acre bungalows of The IAS and IPS , you are just comparing A lizard with the Godzilla. This extreme discrimination can exist only in India.

IPS officers are not willing to join

This is apropos the news that six posts of DIGs are lying vacant in BSF. The posts are lying vacant because the IPS officers are not willing to join BSF at this level as they all expect posting at Delhi. They are neither mentally nor professionally fit in border management to perform efficiently in the field. The same must be the situation in other CPoS like ITBP, CRPF etc. But check with CISF, I am sure that all the posts in CISF would be full.

Not much has changed in IB

Dear Mr Mukherji, You were considered one of the finest officers in the IB those days. Your views carry the same value today as in those days. Not much has changed in this organisation though much water has flown down the Yamuna river. Even today so much of junk intelligence is collected in the form of HUMINT, though electronic collection of intelligence has improved commendably. The emphasis has to be on fixing the priority on hard intelligence. But again collection of Intelligence has same drawbacks in every other country. Crows are black everywhere.

Derailed Indian Foreign Policy

No purpose will be served in playing a ping pong ball. Italy refused to send back its marines for trial. The country is stopping the Ambassador-Italy from leaving India. Now Italy will stop all promising fashion designers in Milan, who are learning something. The matter needs to be taken up in the International Court of Justice urgently and also at other forums. India should make its presence felt in the world giving back hard to the Pakistan once for all. We the citizen's are ready to move behind our soldiers and enter Pakistan and overwhelm them without might of population (in a careful and strategic manner). We should also pass a Resolution in our Parliament that Pakistan should have - for preparing a 'mazaaar'- demanded for the dead body of Bin Laden, whom they had sheltered and fed with Biryani in Abottabad.
